Cast let it drop and dont move it , 90% success rate if fish are there, twitch up off the bottom here and there if no bite in the first few seconds, then fan cast to cover area and repeat

Kept these tips in mind when I focused on paddletails today. I caught a stingray, red drum, and sea trout! Thank you for the excellent advice.

I’m just thinking about cut mullet beer and that day to fillet.. these slots don’t do it for me anymore lol.. it was fun for awhile but when you catch a good 32 inch red and higher these little ones seem Idk.. they need to live if you really think about it.. the old ones well they had there turn in life

Wyatt, just realized you are living and fishing in and around the Coastal Bend of Texas! Is that right? We spend about 6 weeks a year down there visiting family in Aransas Pass. Well, fishing...with family around Aransas Pass. And spending any time we aren’t fishing, with the rest of the family lol. We have a sweet Haynie Bigfoot and can make room most days for an extra rod. Love to get out on the local flats with you. Hit me up. We will down for 2 weeks in June. Cheers!

I disagree the paddle tail is lethal!

Both are awesome lures to use! Jerk bait trigger more reaction strike when fish aren’t aggressive or feeding. Paddle tail is just a great all round lure!

For paddletails, the slam shady color has been the most consistent for us in Tampa Bay... the Slam Shady 2.0 has been the top producer of them all.

Thats all nice, but when you have to fish from the bank, makes it kind of limited.

Meh not really if your fishing from shore you just do 5 casts and then move 10-15 yards and repeat you can cover a lot of ground
