Good deal. I love my Blackmagic cameras and this is a welcome update. I have the Ursa Mini 4.6K Pro and a Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2. I love them so much and use them for my CZcams channel. So much versatility with them.
I am and shaky old guy who shoots solo and I need good IBIS all the time and occasionally good AF. I keep waiting for Blackmagic to release something that competes with a S52x or FX3 with L mount so I can add one of these to my arsenal. I love the menu system so much. Panasonic menus are a PIA. I also love the style of these cameras and as a Davinci resolve user shooting Braw to camera is cool.
I got my BMPCC4k used for only £750 from CEX central London👍🏼💥🎥. That was just the camera, mains cable, and body cap and 1x canon battery. I already had 2 Sony npf battery plates to DC 12v and lots of Npf 970 batteries. I then bought a viltrox speedbooster to EF so I can use my EF adapted vintage lenses🎉 and clip delete!!! All I can say is about dam time mate.... A basic function that's been on £100 compact crappy cameras for 2 decades😂... I still luv my pocket 4k. Nice video and all the best. ❤

Nice demonstration/explanation of the new features this update provides. Thanks for sharing this. I don't think I'll ever need to use a BM camera as a webcam. It's nice to have as a feature but I honestly think it isn't really something most filmmakers who own BM cameras would need. The options to delete and read the data on clips is great to have, I was actually about to pull the trigger on getting the 6K G2 but once this update dropped and with NAB around the corner, I'll wait and see if Blackmagic Design has a new camera in store...

Nothing's wrong with the silent moment. It's not for CNN, Sky or for cable viewing. It's why we love CZcams videos- the natural, realistic disposition of the presenters. Here we focus on the content rather than professional/presentational style/ability.
@@NanaMisa84 Hopefully Blackmagic will work out support for some sort of USB hub in the non-beta version or even use Bluetooth to tether to the phone. It seems like most people today prefer low cost SSDs to expensive cards, so if they work out a way to do this, it will get a lot more people interested in their cloud.
Looks good and a well presented video, keep up the good work, I have a 6K pro, I got it new for a lot less than book price by hunting around, including the eyepiece for a real good price from Norway I think. It replaced my Ursa mini, and seems better. Any ways I'll look at your other videos, your rig, and such. Incidentally my camera is a bit noisey, I just take out the damage in iZotope, but I'll look and see if you have any external sound solutions. I also noticed that there was an update in this Beta to the gyro, there's a lot to using that I think, maybe a tutorial on that if you have time would be good. Just some of the bits I'm a bit vague on, though it doesn't stop me using it to make my living !!

I record in maximum quality 6k. recording is to a 1 TB Cruxail x6 external SSD disk. I've had the machine for almost a year and a half and never updated the friware. I would like to know if there are more reports of this problem and how it can be resolved. Thank you for your help.
This update is available for the pocket 4k but some people have mentioned the update is causing overheating so you may want to wait until the update is out of Beta
Auto focus and IBIS is never a bad thing but I doubt Blackmagic would do that, but it would definitely be intersecting if they released a camera with those features as the image their cameras produce are stunning and with those features added it would be a killer combo
@@NanaMisa84 awesome thanks. I e wanted a 6k but they’d don’t exist when I got my 4k and the file size I’ve heard might not be worth it. But I’m starting to shoot sports and the ability to reframe to deliver at lower resolution is becoming key. Shoot 4k deliver 1080 so I can stabilize and reframe.
I have the 4K and I am still amazed that a 6 year old camera still get regularly updates

At NAB I would love to see Blackmagic launch a successor to the original Pocket cinema camera, something that was small like the original one
I think it’s awesome for getting CZcams vids out without having to sacrifice hundreds of bucks to get a quality webcam for videos
I heard you can use phone ..maybe to go live with the webcam feature..not sure I have to test

Being able to sort Braw by frame rate is hopefully something that comes to Resolve too ❤
the extended video might give you better colors, but if you are in log you can show the lut and it will give you a rec709 look

Blackmagic make really good cameras
It works fine on my BMPCC4K with Viltrox ef-m2II adapter
The tricky thing about the cloud feature is that if you record on a USB-C disk like a T5, you can't plug in your phone for the Internet.
