Hello good afternoon. I have an acmaera balckmagic 6k pro. I've been having some problems with the recording. After about 20 consecutive minutes of recording, the machine stops recording. I record in maximum quality 6k. recording is to a 1 TB Cruxail x6 external SSD disk. I've had the machine for almost a year and a half and never updated the friware. I would like to know if there are more reports of this problem and how it can be resolved. Thank you for your help.

Nice video, Those sun flares give the clips a great feel. Maybe what I can add is when a person is filming and using the sun as the backlight sometimes it's hard to expose well the image and using the false color feature will help so much to get greatly exposed images.

Is the webcam mode in 4K?

Be careful when using these cheap gels. I tried various brands from amazon, but they all melt almost instantly when I put them in front of my Godox ML60. But They work perfectly when you put them in front of LED panels. I tested gels from LEE (professional grade gels) though and they can withstand almost any heat. I put one in front of a Aputure 350D on 100% for 1h and had no issues. There are some super expensive ones but If you want to get them cheap I think this might be a trick, to get PAR64 versions (ment for stage lights) which are sometimes sold in bundles, they work amazingly for me as described.

I just bought a cage for the bmpcc4k and the heft it added to the camera with that alone is a bit annoying to me, I do intend to have a side handle in the future but I'm unsure if a cage is necessary

A box camera with shitty low light, bad rolling shutter, and bad dynamic range… But it’s a nice looking box. This is a joke. Stick with Sony.

the 17k/65mm one certainly looks interesting, will be interesting to see footage from it, but seems to be a larger version of the 12k

Happy for those who intend on getting the camera, but in my position. I need to spend more money on everything else that isn't the camera.. E.g paying actors/crew/locations. I'm a narrative filmmaker with no option to be a hired gun. I want to make short films on the road to my first feature. But that's just me. Kudos!... P. S. I'll probably go Sony fx30.
