Love the rig! Do you have a link for the magnetic adapter you use for the port? I'm also already starting to see some issues with my USB-c port. Do you reckon the adapter will be an adequate solution for it?
Thanks fro watching the video, I've put links for the usb -c adapter below. In terms of protection, it does a very good job if there is movement the advert breaks away from the magnetic part of the adapter, I do not know 100% if it protects better than clamp, but this is the only solution I have seen when not using a cage. If you use a cage I would say use a clamp as you can real tighten the to the cable to reduce movement

Nice rig bro, I'm still rocking a heavy rig. Considering i do a lot of handheld shooting i might consider switching from v mount to NPF for certain scenarios. My current rig is set up to be handheld, on a tripod or go straight to gimbal but i still have to remove some bits for gimble work (which isn't very often). It may be time to go smaller
After years of filming in heavier rigs, I decided to go much lighter as it's more comfortable to hold. On some shoots if I need to fully rig it out I will get an easy rig
You can also use a power bank with power delivery. Those are even smaller and lighter than NPF and hold 10,000mAh+ and also fit on a gimbal

I just bought a cage for the bmpcc4k and the heft it added to the camera with that alone is a bit annoying to me, I do intend to have a side handle in the future but I'm unsure if a cage is necessary
I like a lightweight rig, maybe you could look at a half age
