It'd be cool to make a smaller version of this (out of aluminum and titanium parts) for an overlanding trailer/rig.

I had one similar to this. It did the pivot motion to raise a 20 ft tower with one winch and then it had a second winch that shot a 20 ft. mast up through the center for a total of 40ft. I never found out what brand it was and I sold it about 25 yrs. ago

which tower brand and model is it ? That would be also perfect for my small lot here and would be nice to work on antenna projects... I just don't know where to get the tower that fits nicely like yours...

I don't know what the brand is. A lady called me when her husband passed away and asked me to come take it down. It is a nice little tower for sure.

@@TimTools99 ok it was already assembled like that... I thought you made it with different tower parts and made it telescopic !

Tim, Just acquired a very similar tower from a SK. Any idea how much load it will carry? Plan to put a Hi Gain TD-7DX with a HI-Gain VB-214FM on top. How is the clicker you described deactivated to lower the top portion. Tower was retracted when I took it down. The spring was not attached. It appears the spring pulls it into the stop/hold position and a cord to the ground is used to rotate it out of the way. Is this correct?Teddy AE4TJ

Hello Teddy. Yes that spring pulls it into the stop position. You will pull a rope to pull back on the spring to let the tower down. I don't know what the tower is rated for but I have my A3S Beam up there and have no problems. Potential problems from high winds can be reduced by lowering the tower but I haven't done that in a long time and we have had some bad wind storms. Pour a good foundation and it will be fine.

has anybody come out with a attachment to put on a drill to raise and lower towers?

I wonder if someone could buy one of these used, and if so, how much it would go for and how would it get shipped?
