    Just got the system and Im pretty handy so figured I would fit it myself, your video was super helpful although I did get stuck getting the CAT off as your don't show removing the right peg. I actually ended up phoning your shop and the super helpful service guy told me thats what I needed to do so thank you very much. All in doing this first time with no instructions it took me about 4 hours not sure what the book time on it is. If you are going to do this make sure you get the parts diagram from your dealer its tough to figure out how the bracket fits otherwise.

    Other than the Ducati Termignoni option for the rear silencer, have you come across any other option that actually sounds good? I know there is a Akrapovic Slip On for the 950 model but not sure whether this will fit or in fact sound any different.
    Thoughts?

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  Před 2 lety

      Well I’m glad you have finally arrived , thanks appreciate it , yeah the Termignoni’s sound awesome , you do need to get the ‘half’ system that removes the catalytic converter for extra sound, just having end cans don’t really do to much other then the look really, and with the Map for the Termignoni it really works well , I have done a video on the Monster which is the same engine with the Termignoni exhaust ,well I’ve done a few videos on it with baffles in and out , just look on my channel and you should find them :)

    I heard someone removed the baffles from 'the box' that may give it more throat but may also attract plod more often, no idea how you'd remove them? I also heard you can 'buy' the RACE EVO mode as you get with the PP? Not sure what that'll give you, again, I heard it gives you 'drift control'?

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  Před rokem

      You could take the baffles out but that would mean drilling out the rivet’s and the baffles, have heard one that has had it done but really to get a better sound you would also bet a de-cat pipe to remove the catalytic converter, but you would need it mapped, as far as I know you can only get the Race Evo mode when you buy the exhaust and get the map from Ducati

    sounds good! I've still got the stock exhaust and found the akrapoviç end can a bit sounding the same like the OEM and for that price it's a bit stupid to buy one I found. I'm verry interested in the full system of Akrapoviç. But the only thing I'm wondering is in how far is it possible to put the full system on the Multistrada myself? I guesse putting the pipes and end can on will not be a problem, but what with the mapping? Can it only be done by a Ducati dealer or is there a way to do it yourself without buying sophisticated software for your computer? Or is it possible to mount the system yourself, drive to your Ducati dealer to put on the software? Will it potentially damage the engine if you drive with the full system without the mappings? Also what I'm a bit worried about is the actual DB's. Is it as loud it's almost associal to ride with it (just thinking starting it in the mornings to go to work that I don't necessarly wake up the neighbours ;)) Also for some touring in Germany and stuff with the rules getting stricter and stuff. I've rode the Streetfighter V4 with the full system and this was a bit much for me. It was fun for a day, but I can imagine if you ride it for a trip of 500 km's a day it will get anoying... How's that in comparison with the full system for the Multi?
    Thanks for the vid, enjoyed it and love the typical English chat

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  Před 2 lety +5

      Yeah the Akrapovic end can you get with the Sport Pack is not much different to the standard, and a waste of money if you are thinking of the full system as you can not use the can,Tbh they are a lot of work changing the exhaust, mainly the header pipes , depending obviously on a person’s ability and experience on working on bikes it’s hard to say if they can do it and how long it would take, then yes there is the problem with the mapping, you would have to ask your local dealer if they would do it as it needs to be plugged in to the computer at the dealer, some will probably do it if you have bought the exhaust from them, you should always map the bike as all the fuelling with be right it does make a difference, the full system is louder, nothing like as loud as the Streetfighter with a full system , which for me would be too loud for touring , but obviously it’s louder then standard, not overly loud when ticking over or low revs , but you can hear it when yr mid revs and on the throttle

    Hey guys, actually ended up with a V4S Multistrada. What are your thoughts on fitting a performance air cleaner? Have you fitted any and noticed any difference? If so, which brand would you recommend? There's obviously the Sprint Filter and the DNA brand. Thoughts?

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  Před 2 lety

      Tbh we’ve only changed the air filter with the full exhaust system and then have changed the map , for me personally changing the air flow without anything else I can’t see it doing anything good really , but like I say we have not changed just that on a bike before

    • @CurvedSlightly
      @CurvedSlightly Před rokem

      I've fitted the Sprint AF filter, can't really tell any difference to be fair, it will be top end values where you'll get the benefit as, at low revs, it's not sucking much air in so no difference with the stock, but may breath better at higher revs. Is it worth £80? Not sure, it's a performance machine, it deserves performance parts, it won't make it worse, but don't think it'll change it that much, don't expect a difference, if you track it and rev the tits off it, you might do. Plus its a real bitch trying to swap the filter out, I really struggled but can be done without taking the bike to bits, just the four filter cover screws then pull forward and to the side slightly and gently pull the filter to the left side and slide the Sprint AF in, don't jam it in as you'll bend the metal screen.

    Does the full Akra system reduce heat output to the legs? Most bikes are coming out of the factory running way to lean & with those horrible cats making the bikes run really hot. The full system reduces heat a little , the v4 engine feels hotter then say an in-line 4 as your sitting on cylinder heads really , the Multistradas are not as hot as the streetfighter or panigale and have not found heat to be a problem myself .. but then it doesn’t got that hot over here in the UK , try and get a test ride on one at a Ducati dealer and see how it feels
