Storage engineer here, manage a 12pb storage array at a large tech company. 1.5TB is nothing, we have hundreds of individual database backups larger than that. Same as the Insomniac leak, it sounds impressive when compared to a game’s size but in the corporate data land that’s nothing.
Kadakawa owns so many anime and manga IPs they even are over youtubers in geexplus like cdawgva gigguk and the anime man. So thats tough
Imagine if they own Viz media IPs...
Damn… That’s terrible for the trash taste crew.
Use your Stadia controller to play Xbox Cloud from an Amazon Fire Stick… Meta
My favorite is playing Xbox on iPhone with Sony DualShock
Why stop there? Why not use your ouya bluetooth controller to stream xbox game pass to your meta quest pro?
I imagine that would appeal to a certain preventer of fighting skeletons.

Meta is not involved in this equation lol
GOG is the real deal and games you buy there are actually yours. The games are DRM free. This is real digital ownership.
@@elmasheavy89 I still prefer physical. One of the reasons I left PC gaming
I agree, but the collection is very limited there.
Gog combined with physical media should stay around I don't like my property rights being taken behind the shed and had unspeakable things done to it
@@starship_01 That's due to some publishers not willing to agree to GOG terms, that said what they do have in there is fairly solid
@@jegjrtp87Don’t know about XBOX, but I can still beat 98% of PS5 games physically such as Stellar Blade, FF16, Intergrade and Rebirth, TW3 complete edition, Cyberpunk (PS5), Elden Ring, Demons Souls remake, Stray, Persona 3 reload, Persona 5, Rise of the Ronin, Ghost of Tsushima, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Spiderman/Spiderman 2 and Miles Morales etc WITHOUT additional updates. Everything is still on the disc.
Nintendo too. Most games that come out on cartridge is beatable.
Mods for PC gaming is nice and higher visual fidelity for modern games, but still having physical for consoles is a nice trade off.
I think it's important to note, a lot of folks with Fire TV sticks probably don't have a gaming console. Now they do.
Safe to say those same people aren't interested in video games either.😂
@@SonOfAsgard-ku4kd
Yes. Otherwise, they would have a gaming console by now.
@SonOfAsgard-ku4kd now use your logic and look at how many folk use a fire stick and imagine (I know it's hard) but imagine just a % of those now being interested in gamepass. ...
I was wondering why you would need one if you have a console.

I can't see how paying full price for a mobile game is appealing in any way to be honest. You'll lose access to it after a couple of iOS versions as the develop will no longer support it (Bioshock) or turn it into free to play (Crazy Taxi).
I'm not bitter or anything...
The reason this happened to some games was due to the conversion from 32 bit to 64 bit so a lot of games lost compatibility. However, I do fear that’s something that can happen with these games. Not only that but how would you get game deals via the App Store.
I literally just started replaying Bounty Hunter on the PS2 this month. I guess at this point I'll stop and wait for August now

Speak for yourself. I'm still waiting for Virtual Boy 2!
LoL you'll Game & Watch classic edition
Isn’t that switch sports 😝
Ring Fit Adventure 2! It was actually a pretty solid RPG and had me getting ripped...until I beat the game and never touched it again
Resort! Wii Sports Resort!
Elden Ring reminds me of the 90s-2000s, a time when microtransactions had yet to exist. The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is what used to be known as an "expansion pack", a full sized campaign added on to the base game. A term long lost yet so apt/
Black flag doesn’t need a remake it still looks great and plays amazing to this day. Assassins creed 1 being remade will be insaneeeee
Black Flag could use a remake for the console market mainly. Weirdly it never got an FPS boost patch on Xbox like almost every other AC game (Syndicate also never got a performance boost patch, though at least it actually runs fine on a Series X, on PS5 the game suffers from serious lighting bugs). A remake or remaster that gets it up to 60 fps and maybe even 4K on consoles would be nice.
Personally not too upset to see leakers taken out. I like surprises and getting spoiled on a news show doesn't carry the same weight as a big, planned announcement.
Leakers to me are the worst. The best moments in gaming come with those huge reveals. Imagine a world if “299” was leaked before the first e3. Or even recently something like the MvC collection. The energy and comradery when an announcement is made is so amazing, that having it spoiled by a leak is just a crime.
I think hackers are worse, but leaks are definitely annoying too.
Agreed they're the worst, it's hard not to hear a leak about a game/or something your officially waiting to hear about, leakers and scalpers are a bad.
@@MyManJFKTV Especially since they can (and probably will) sell your information to terrorists.
I think of the devs, imagine working on something for like 2-3 years and have that announcement moment spoiled by a leaker that wants a 5min of fame.
Leakers saved me from buying The Last of Us 2, I won't bite the hand that feeds.
The Firestick integration will be great news for people like my dad. He doesn't see the point in buying a console but he would like to play Flight Sim and Forza, and now he can.

Nobody should be surprised that console-grade premium games on mobile aren't selling.
This was already tried way back with games like BioShock and the original version of Resident Evil 4 getting an iPhone port which both sold very poorly.
The end result was the move towards freemium and the various microtransaction hells which have since taken over the mobile landscape.
Why would RE4 remake sell any better on phones than RE4 classic did? Nothings changed in terms of consumer behaviour, if anything I'd expect it to sell worse as consumers have gotten very used to this model of free-to-download pay-to-win gaming
While I do love Steam as a platform, if a game is available from GOG, I'll buy it there just so I have a DRM free version of the game, for posterity's sake.
GOG also tends to do a better job with making sure some games will run fine on modern hardware. Like Thief 1 and 2 on Steam need fan patches to get them working right. On GOG they already have the fan patches installed right from the get go.
The years is 2072, water has run out for most of the country, fire everywhere, we have tornadoes every day, the bees now have opposable thumbs and can now wield firearms. I just finished playing Halo Infinity 2 deluxe on my microwave. I say, calmly, to myself : Well, it's official, Microsoft issue was never their reach, it's was the quality of their games all along. As I die of thirst I use my last breath to say : I still don't forgive you for buying Rare. And while the halo credits roll in the back, I die and disapear into the cloud.
There is no way the Earth will run out of water.
If Microsoft hadn't bought them they would have ceased to exist.
Say what you will about the quality of their games but at least Microsoft kept its people employed.
@wolfman210 Until they didn't, and they let go of 2000+ employees.
That was really well writen.
Nintendo didn’t want Rare, and Activision was looking to buy them. Microsoft’s acquisition was the best outcome. Let it go.
It's really weird to me to see Kadokawa referred to as "FromSoftware parent company". It's like seeing the Coca-Cola company referred to as "the parent company of Fresca"
I remember that dodgy-tasting soda from the 70’s. I didn’t think they made that anymore.
I’ve never heard of Kadokawa outside of this context, are they well-known?
@@Aries73- Fresca is pretty damn good…as of 2022 at least. The grapefruit is delicious.
Yes they are one of the major companies in the anime/manga/light novel industry
@@Level_Eleven they're one of the largest publishing companies in Japan but I guess they don't really have much stake in video games so it does make sense to refer to them this way in this context
Microsoft teaming with Amazon is no different that when the did the same with Samsung. Although Samsung had a offer that when you bought a new tv, you got an xbox and a month or 3 months of gamepass.
The Triple-A games I play won't play well on a small screen. That's likely what people realize when they try it on a mobile is the reason for the drop-off.
sure but if they can afford an iPhone, they likely can afford a console. they would rather buy it on console. it will only work if it is part of a subscription service like apple arcade.
Plus, the negative effect of IOS update making them incompatible down the line.
I think that if you purchase the console version of a game the mobile version should be included at no extra cost.
Lmao, you think it costs nothing to port full blown AAA games to mobile? 🤡
Life isn’t about handouts, mate.
@@cbgg1585 It isn’t a handout. We are already paying $70+ for AAA games. If Sony can give us GT7 with a free VR mode then they surely can do the same with mobile. This isn’t like a PC version of a console game which takes extra time to develop due to enhancements.
@@cbgg1585while I agree, if you want people to adopt it and get used to it then giving them their first fix free might have some merit. But yeah you’re actually spot on.
@@jabareo It's _way_ harder to port an AAA game to mobile than to port it to PC. Also, the target audience with phones that can actually run at max clock speeds for more than a couple minutes is extremely small. When thermal throttling sets in, they could lower the graphics settings and resolution even further to accommodate for the now much slower GPU, but that doesn't help the CPU, meaning they'd have to re-design and/or re-write the entire game to be able to run on a throttled phone CPU, which would be an insanely time consuming (and often futile) task.
PC versions rarely have enhancements, but console versions almost always don't run at maximum graphics settings (even on PS5 and XSX), therefore, creating an "enhanced" version merely boils down to unlocking the graphics settings and allowing higher resolutions and frame rates.
I remember Sony did that with some games that came out on PS3 and Vita and that was honestly one of the best moves from Sony when it came to consumer friendliness.
I've said this forever; other than AC1 I don't think any AC game needs or should be remade. Ubisoft should be putting their resources in new games.
I'm sure a deal with platform holders would have to be made but the only way I am playing an AAA game on my phone is if I bought the full retail version and it came with dual-entitlement and cross save.
I don’t play good games on my phone I have gaming handhelds for that. If I’m using my phone to game it’s because I have minimal time or attention. I can give it to it so the only games I’m playing on a phone or Tetris chess and solitaire. Some thing I can play quickly without having to pay too much attention to it. I can’t stand touch controls for a game like resident evil and if I have to listen to audio to understand what’s going on or carry something like a controller that sort of defeats, the purpose of playing on my phone.
What happened to the time stamps?

Though they are always in the video description
Amazon has a controller already: "Luna" controller, I have one and played games.
The Steam summer sale has begun. RIP wallet. Wish me luck... I'm going in.

About using a TV Stick:
I intentionally have a MagentaTV Stick for a simple reason.
I own three TVs.
It's just more convenient to just take the stick and put it into another TV instead of having to install MagentaTV on each of them (One of them is an older model and not even a Smart TV, so that couldn't even work.) and have to log in and out over and over again...
GOG game installers also work well for Winlator (windows emulator for android phones). It's how I'm playing Fallout New Vegas with an Android phone and using an attached controller!
The purifier not 1 tapping a hunter is such a meme

Mr Robot is very realistic when it comes to the hacking and it goes about getting into people's systems in this exact way, as well as more elaborate situations
the first Assassin's Creed is rough, wouldn't mind a remake.

NOBODY envisions some nerd pulling a Mission Impossible style break in for the Nintendo leaks...
Seeing how tradiotionalist is Nintendo and how that translates as how they use outdated tech, like literally Microsoft 98's for their US servers, doing a Mission Impossible to them is easy cake for the people who know how to do that.
assassins creed 1 still had the best feeling and vibe that felt more assassin like. it was mainly held back by mechanical problems and if it could be made better with a remake i think it could finally actually give me what iv wanted from an assassins creed game
I know the question was about Ubi but I legit would like a remaster of Lost Planet, at least the first one.
Elden Ring is not the most difficult FromSoft game. It has so much room to adventure and build up your character. Sure there are occasional bosses that ramp up difficulty but, as a non-hardcore gamer. I feel like if I can do it with a little work most will be able to as well.
I’d love to hear how people feel it compares to Old Hunters DLC or the final boss of Sekiro. I’m not convinced this is as difficult as it is being made out to be but it is true that FromSoft DLC usually takes it up a notch. It’s part of the experience!
Now I just want a re-release or ideally an HD remaster of the Rogue Squadron games, maybe even sold in a single package. I'd pay a full $70 to have them all on PC.
Oh YES that would be amazing
I feel like they’re coming. We have seen tons of Star Wars games get released. Say what you want about Battlefront collection but it actually happened. So we could see rogue squadron make a come back
Just out of curiosity, how come sometimes the time stamps are embedded in the video and other times they're only in the description?
apparently it's an issue with yt
@@mikeuk666 Thanks for the answer! It's nuts that the biggest streaming service owned by one of the largest multinational tech companies can't get its crap together on such rudimentary features.
Sounds like Microsoft didn't bother spending money on production for "Keystone " when it would be easy to just bring it to modern TVs already.
Should there be an option for backward compatibility on mobile phones? Remember, apps that dont get update will straight up stop working after a few OS or system updates. Because paying top dollar for a AAA game that will stop working stings quite a lot.
It sucks to hear that Ransomware groups are attacking Kadokawa. Ubisoft adding to the Assassin's Creed franchise is never a bad thing. If they redid the first game and combined the PSS and ds game into it, that would be sick!
I think thats a great idea to remake AC 1.. Maybe right away if possible.. Or hell even a remaster with those Altair spinoff games in a package similar to Ezio trilogy.. However would make more sense to do PoP Warrior Within and Two Thrones first
If they remake the OG AC, I’m down.
They should keep it just as buggy for the authenticity

That word "modernize" has me worried.
Now im trying to imagine what black flag would be like as a live service game.
If they are going to be remade using their current engine, I guess we will lose the charm of the cutscenes. Since modern AC games seems to have ditched certain quality of character performance, especially the faces.
I've been playing games on my Fire stick for years now. It's very easy to get Retroarch on there and connect a flash drive to it. It can play up through PS1 without any issues.
if GOG actually made an effort to support Linux and Steam Deck I'd be more open to buying games on their store
There’s a thing called a fire tv which is the fire stick tv included inside the tv
You really want the old Assassins Creed games to be made for a "MoDeRn AuDiEnCe"?
Then enjoy the game being ruined
We definitely do not. They would introduce DEI crap and historical revisionism to shove their ideological agenda on gamers' faces in the least subtle way possible.
With all the hacks lately, working for a big business or game dev seems super dangerous. They really need to overhaul security as its nonstop lately.
Having worked at a big corp and now being a game dev, "overhauling" is not how it works. You don't just "overhaul" security. Nintendo's approach is basically what all the most secure companies do. It is usually social engineering or improper passwords that allow hackers in. Companies spend millions of dollars training because a single leak not only costs tens of millions of dollars an hour, but also the trust in the company, and can give other companies advantages depending on the info leaked. I can assure you most companies do all they can to ensure information security. With big corps of thousands of employees, and with the nature of hacking and social engineering, hacks like this are almost inevitable.
@@SilverDreamweaver overhaul can mean practices too, weak passwords for example. Make a strict requirement with no personal info in the password. Teach every person about social engineering tactics and test people.
I just replayed Black Flag recently, and while there is some frustrating early AC jank, it is still a very fun game. I would absolutely buy a remake, and would strongly consider a remaster.
GOG and Steam is the only market that I trust.
Good morning all!!

iPad Air and iPad Pros have some of the fastest desktop processors. It’s not a surprise they can run AAA games you know. 😊
Will an 8bitdo sn30 pro 2 work with a firestick?
I’m good with just my Switch OLED I don’t need anything else until Switch 2.
I miss the days of gaming before online. Back then everyone was far less tribal than they are now.
If I had a new iPhone I’d probably get those games, but with them being limited to the new iPhone I can’t buy them. So I think that’s what’s leading to low sales.
Apple’s next Apple Tv should have the extra power to run these games instead of on your phone or tablet. Charge $150/$200 and give it the extra oomph to run these AAA games.
We are a long long long long way off before streaming is even remotely a viable replacement and by then I hope to be long out of the gaming space.
I still stand by the statement that when we go to an all-digital future and I mean 100% nothing physical except for the devices were playing things on I'm done finished and will simply retreat back to my retro collection and or emulation.
The controller sucks on screen so needing accessories to play makes it a no go .
Microsoft is trying to figure out the controller situation 😅🤣 the company that sells more controller variations and styles than they do games 😭 truly wild times man 💯👍
Do you really want those older assassins creed games be remade? If even Japanese studios are fumbling their own remakes what makes you think western studios will be any better.

If I had to choose only one to be remade, it would be Assassin's Creed 3. I love that game so damn much.
Second would be Assassin's Creed. The first one. For very obvious reasons, as it needs it the most.
I'd also like to see an Xbox Series X|S & PS5 update for Assassin's Creed Unity and, if possible, some more co-op missions added to that game. That is a highly underutilized feature and I would absolutely love to see them grow co-op gameplay into the series. Hell... a team-up mission with Arno and Ratonhnhaké:ton to search for and take out Shay Patric Cormac would be *AWESOME!!*
hi Spawn Wave
Apple should have funded a persona port I think that would work well
I did play Persona 2 and Persona 3 Portable on my phone, but mostly P2, and honestly, it's not that great without a controller or accessory. The movement is very important for these games, and without actual buttons, it always feels clunky no matter how long I try to play it. Who knows, maybe they'd figure out a solution.

The mobile gaming market is very much segregated from the rest of gaming. I expect AAA titles to struggle. Would not be surprised if they never take off.
I knew about GOG a while ago when they were giving away copies of The Witcher.
Some of their sales are basically a steal (i.e. you pay more for a coffee in some fancy place).
I agree, they should remake the first assassin's creed and the trilogy for the assassin's creed 2. That will give them an even bigger push since those games were when the story was promising and actually going somewhere.
They've done remasters of the first 5 games already.
What?! I love Star Wars bounty Hunter! I never expected this!!
