- This week i'm driving a small rigid truck, the MAN TGL 10.180 the first time an MAN truck has featured on my channel. It's compact size is great for those tight city deliveries and awkward locations.
It's diesel engine is a 4 Cylinder 4.6 litre unit, with a power output of 177hp and 700Nm @1400rpm. It features a MAN Tipmatic 6 speed automated gearbox, and is fitted with (EGR) Exhaust Gas Recirculation, cruise control and exhaust brake.

You should do a battle of the 7.5 tonners(daf, man, iveco) 😂😂 the day shift trucks that are always left in rag order from the wizzing around the industrial estates like vans.

Brilliant video of the little MAN. Love the views of the Truck & very I interesting showing the rev counter through the gears. 1600 rpm at 80 kmph very relaxed at that speed. 👍

Hi Stavros, don’t think it’s a patch on the Daf equivalent. Is that truck rated at 7.5 tonne? Nice little vid though mate. I know it’s a 2010 machine but don’t think it wears its years very well. Happy new year matey👍🏻🚚🚚🚚😆
Drove one 14 years ago pre limiter and was doing 85mph at one point. Manual box

My first encounter with something slightly bigger than an average car was such a MAN with 220 horses, bigger cab, manual splitter gearbox and a huge box on the back, with its 3,90m (9'10"" in retarded units) in height it was not that far away from a 40t long hauler...
Very nice to experience that, every car driver should drive something like this for a bit, to understand what truckers have to deal with...talking about possible speeds, braking distances, visibility of things around them, blind spots and so on...
In central and east Europe, they use these with topsleepers and a full on trailer (bdf) to transport as cheap as possible.

I have 2008 MAN TGL 7.150..
D0834 engine ZF gearbox ...
When I'm in first gear it shows 3rd on the dashboard...
When I'm in 3rd gear it shows 6th gear on the dashboard....
Dm means drive maneuver
This truck with manual gearbox is tough and powerful but very exhausting to drive. And that 4-cylinder engine is very loud to cabin.
I recently got a TGL 7.150.....its very slow ...very slow and poor over small inclines ...what can i do

All EU nations have the same truck licenses i'm pretty sure. I know in the UK when we had shortages a lot of foreigners came in to fill the gaps

The Merc Ategos are underpowered as well, a 12 tonne fully loaded is very slow and “interesting” at junctions and roundabouts!?
They are not too bad,same as Iveco Eurocargo's. Perfect for a topsleeper with a lowdeck setup and a curtain trailer from Gniotpol

Just Aviation if I’m tramping I’d rather have a Daf cos the beds are the best in the Business if I wanted a decent truck I’d get a Volvo cos the gearbox is the best Scania are ok but overrated at the end of the day it’s personal preference

Never driven a MAN with a decent auto gearbox absolute garbage for the most part. A real gaffers truck if ever there was one.
Most new trucks are automatic these days
dukeburger5 the new scania are good for their auto boxes and I believe Volvo has dropped making manuals altogether.
In my job all trucks are manual so no problem there
It's a MAN truck, not a M A N truck.
