  • (Sound removed first 30 secs due to copyright issues)This is a short clip about the Rocket Testing Site in 1945 and current location shots of Ynyslas. Thanks to Haf ap Robert and Judith Kelly for their creative help and particular thanks to Medwyn Parry..not only for the use of the initial overhead photo of Ynyslas but his patience in answering my "what is that?" style questions. Finally credit to the National Army Museum for the wartime photos. Music by YBB (copyright Rhys Griffiths)

The building in 01:08 is actually on our farm property! You can walk past and even into it on the public walkway, go through our farm track and into the fields where this building lives and stands.

Ah,I wondered when someone would notice that. Yes mate,it's a shot I took last year off one of the bench going up towards the cliff. It's one of my favourite places to be. Like being at home there.

Mobile phone. I never thought that may be the issue. I'll try with my laptop and see if that works. Sounds fascinating. Cheers

Me and my family live in the Farm that’s in Ynyslas.
In section 01:02, that bunker is on part of the land we live on.
I take a walk from the farm down to there alot

Thanks for that.Moel Ynys? Grew up in the area (Llandre) and my father played golf at Ynyslas. As a boy, I thought the various structures were either built for the golf club or were part of the farm - had no idea of the history.

@@Daiversion1 no, it's a farm next to the boatyard called Ty Canol, it's been here for about 200-300 years. The house that is, That's what I've been told.
The farm buildings went up in the late 40s early 50s

I’d like to believe the conjecture but I think it’s more likely that testing took place at Aberporth
