- Today finds us in North Carolina and on a quick search for a bottle dump located somewhere in a swamp. After a few wrong and wet turns, we find the dump.
About Aquachigger:
I enjoy metal detecting for historical items like gold coins, relics, silver coins, and other buried treasures. I also metal detect for gold and silver nuggets and even meteorites. I like to make videos that promote my choice of lifestyle that includes outdoor adventure,
metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed by most people who are not familiar with outdoor adventures and nature. I keep my CZcams "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
BTW, you can also catch me here, / chiggsarmy ,but I may get a little edgier there. FB isn't a place for kids anyway...lol.

Go back you may find some great treasure
Go back and dig
Yessss
Gotta go back...love me some bottles too!
There were some nice stoneware crocks that you passed, so I would say definitely worth going back. Have fun at Digstock.
You mentioned the decline of the eastern box turtle, and I have to agree their numbers are declining drastically. Last year I was involved in a study and census for them, and after over 6 months of searching only found 2! In 2014 doing the same thing we found over 100! They are suffering from serious loss of habitat and vehicle casualties, plus people taking them from the wild and selling them as pets. I agree 100%, within 20 years or sooner these animals will extinct or nearly so. 🐢
This is disturbing...
I saw them everywhere here in eastern Kentucky.
Makes me sad to think about it. Such pretty and unique turtles.
They fine come to rural NC they in every pond lol they good
I found a bunch of poison bottles from the 40s and 50s buried at the site of a military hospital that no longer exists on Vancouver Island, Canada. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I love bottle digs!!
Would love to see you and southern searcher in a bottle collaboration. Your personalities are different, but your passion for adventure is contagious. Would be very entertaining.😁
It would be interesting to see more of the bottle dump area before you leave.

Posted an hour ago and I’m not first or anywhere near first, but Fiona and the wobbly kitten don’t care. They’re just glad I here. Furthermore, even though they miss you, we agree you should dig this trash dump. You always have something interesting to say even if the artifacts are scarce,

Also definitely worth coming back
I think it may be worth lookin in that spot again
More. More. More 😁
Chiggs 🤙👍🏽🍺
That was an interesting lid
Watch out for pigmy rattlers , moccasins. N gators. But great adventure.!!!!!! Be careful n safe. ,
Go for it..
Best to bring a nice thin probe if you go back there. Find some nice pockets to dig
Those hard bottom ditches are good at holding stone tools and points . looks like the walls of the ditch are not like SW- Missouri and full of gravel destroying most points unless you go as soon as the water goes down and find them in the bank or freshly washed out . One day I hope to hunt east where there are better conditions for intact relics . Good luck Chigg ..
"It's a lid to something, let's just leave it at that." 😂
Yes Chig looks promising
I vote to dig the bottle site.
I would enjoy seeing more of your technique digging that type of site and listening to your knowledge on different types of what ever it is you find. There are more than a few dumps around where I live (NW La - not far from the battle of Mansfield).
You’d make a killing here I bet. Apparently the Union soldiers made their way up the Red River to Mansfield in an attempt to run out some Confederates. However they were met with such a force they literally turned and ran back to the River (many, many miles) in an attempt to escape. Along they way they dumped everything they were carrying not only to relieve weight but also attempt to blend in as they made their way back. All that land they traversed is mostly farm land now.
Come back, try it and see. May be a good place!
I think it may be a look see. You might find that cannon ball. Good luck 👍
Dig chigg!!!!!!!
Dig it!
Looks somewhat promising. Might stumble onto other artifacts whilst hunting bottles.
History..... it happened!
Aww I wish digstock could not be in the middle of the week...I would have definitely planned to dig it!
Head back to it. They are always worth the time.
Yep, there's Chig, grabbing glass without gloves. You make me involuntarily flinch, my friend.
Yes, deffo call back and have a root around.
I would, ya never know, the creek bed looked interesting too. Do the
get the shovel and dig it. you never know what you will find if you never look. stay Blessed
My Family are from little Washington NC. You ought to check out the canals in and around the downtown area.
I would definitely go back
Chigg’s it looks pretty picked overtime and worked over. Have fun at Dig Stock, look forward to seeing your videos from there.
Yes.You might find a real cannon ball!
Heck yea chigg, ya never know
I think the Chigg needs to go back and dig some proper holes out there.
Laik 75 👍 friend
It depends Chiggy if you like old bottles..
Wish I could find a bottle dump like anywhere near me that looks like a spot the land immediately starts to get developed
Could there be older stuff on deeper layers? My be worth looking.
I recognize this area.
Yes come back
Any place with 100 year old bottles is worth a few pokes. Go for it!
I’ll comeback to watch
If you have otters in the area, they are hard on the turtles.
I read something about how we teach about endangered animals in school- like tigers, lions, polar bears- but not about local species that kids could actually have an impact on. Idk if Box turtles are endangered, seem to be in just Maine but i thought that was interesting and a good point.
Good point. They should teach to help turtles cross the road and such. Tell kids to not feed birds bread etc
Sure go for it
I live not far from where you are exploring, Lots of old Still Sites from bootleggers in this area. I'd be surprised if you didn't come across one or two.
Hey chigg I'm at digstock I'd love to do a dig with ya if you would have me. It would be a bucket listers for me. Been watching ur vids 4ever and a huge fan. I'm shure u get a ton of messages and what not. But I figured I'd give it a shot. Keep up the awsome content.
Hi CHigg! Absolutely ....... Go for it! If there weren't still stuff to find there wouldn't be any fresh digs next to old digs. Besides...... it looked like you were having a good time doing a recon! Have a good day!
Yes go back Chigg I think it would be worth the time
I would say "Hold your breath!" but there's hardly any water there! Good luck! 😁
