- Enjoying a sub-zero night out in the mountains of Canada, I construct a shelter and bed from fir boughs next to a large fire that keeps me warm all night. Thank you for watching and be sure to subscribe!

I had to stop this video at the 4 minute mark.
To say Absolutely Wonderful Job doesn't seem even close to enough. The way you were able to maximize your work without maximizing your effort like making a Tree Hook to bring pine boughs back to camp.
To make a much more Sturdy and substantial Debris Shelter by wedging the the tree into the trunk after prying it apart using it to work with itself ?
Brilliant.
THIS is why I chose to learn other things about the Bushcraft world that I'm New to.
I have been a Survival Expert in Staying Alive, Primitive Shelter Making, Escape and Evasion and the such.
But one thing I have Learned is " When you Have a Survivalist or Instructor who claims to know it all, If They are in a SHTF Situation .... It is their Lives that will be CLAIMED ......"
I'm always Learning, Thanks for Teaching.
You're an amazing teacher kid. I got a place in Northern NY and I've been taking a lot more walks into the woods lately because of your videos. Great stuff.
LOVE your “no talking” videos! Just great skills, interesting food, wonderful scenery, and winsome videography... can’t be beat! Thanks so much!
SistahRev Thank you so much! You're too kind! Take care!
+1 "just sounds of the nature and tools" format (with simple texts for details) is the best. 👍🏻
Really appreciate the silence! Damn, Awesome job on that shelter!
Alan Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed the video. Happy trails!
Love this stuff. Relaxing big time
I watch a bushcrafting video every night before i go to bed. Calms me down and no issue falling asleep. And i am dresming all night of campfires, shelters and good steaks...
As a child in Texas, every year around January 1st we would collect all the neighbors discarded Christmas trees and make a fort just like this one. What a fun time and they smelled great also. 😀
Jim Gibbons Yes, these shelters do smell amazing! Sleeping on the Fir bough pillow is really great haha. Thanks for watching, take care.
Some of the stuff you do, like creating a way to drag the line branches, I would NEVER think of. So cool to watch and learn. Thanks!
Great video, and that food looked incredible. Nothing can beat sitting next to a fire, good food, good drink and relaxing. All the best, Brian.
*watches video*
me: i want to camp in the snow
*cold hits face stepping outside*
me: maybe next time
I love how you get the importance of having a good place to sit. I see many videos of people sitting on the ground. C omfort makes all the difference. Even minimal comfort. It's not survival. It's thriving in your environment.
Rey Scott It's the small details that make the difference. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching. Take care!
The shelter looks so warm. I love fire crackling sound.
Awesome shelter build. Great video. Thanks for sharing
going back and watching all the videos I've missed...
Super looking supper and breakfast! Excellent job on the quick shelter. Thanks for sharing, ATB Von

Nixon Bushcraft Haha, fear the beard. Good one. 😂👌

Especially the bow pillow well done!
Now that's a CHUNK of meat. Life's Good. A shelter, a fire, a big chunk of meat and being out there. Good one Ryley.

After watching your videos, I feel much more confident in my bushcraft

Fantastic viewing, best bushcraft videos on CZcams. Q: have you ever encountered bears in those woods?
Great video🌲😎
Thanks for the nice video.
This was a great video Ryley, of what I imagine to be the true perspective of your remote and tranquil solo wildland outings! I can easily see myself living out the rest of my days in such a beautiful peaceful expanse. I wouldn't have the guts to go it alone like you do though! With my luck, a few bear would have wanted to share that slab of meat with me! I definitely need to watch a lot more of your videos to gain better knowledge and skill before I entertain any kind of Kuskbushcraft! Keep posting, can't wait to see more.
Get Good Thank you for watching! The bears here in Alberta have all gone into hibernation by now, so no need to worry about them. I appreciate you watching. Happy trails.
Awesome shelter ma, really enjoying your videos, subbed my friend. Keep up the great work, cheers friend.
Well done, I like the fact your eatin good. 👍🏻
Looked like you had a great overnighter.
Having watched numerous, natural-shelter videos, I am totally convinced that a waterproof tarp is a quintessentially important piece of gear that will save loads of time and effort. Also, a tarp eliminates the need to cut live wood. (OK, you might need a few evergreen boughs on which to sleep.)
Thanks for sharing this video! Keep on rocking!☺💛
BBQDad463 yeah but does it look cool haha
Sound of the fire is epic
Love your videos Ryley, just wish they were longer... Just about the time I'm getting into what's going on, and wishing I was eating whatever it is you're cooking, all of a sudden you're pulling up tent stakes and untying the tarp. I could watch this stuff for like, an hour (each video)... and then go out and do the same things myself ;-) Happy trails!
Nice one buddy try to do one of these each year to stay in and countless other ones with the scouts love it just keeps the skills fresh . Nice job
Sperrin Outdoors Thank you for watching buddy! Happy trails.

Hi from scotland enjoy all your videos thank you👍👍
Neat trick for transporting a bundle of boughs.
Очень уютно и душевно)
Ah yes, the awesome Mora 840, my second favorite right behind the Classic #2
I`m glad he left the shelter.
The only thing with that as a shelter is, these kinds of trees catch fire and go up pretty good, especially when dry of course.
Cool video!.
You would have fun exploring BC! Great camping places over here!
Mistrzostwo kolego 👍
When I watch your cooking in the woods, Suddenly I feel hungry.
Hands down. I subscribed....
Amazing video Sir!! I just subscribed to your channel and happy New year to you and your family 😇 🇺🇸
Nice 👍
Sometimes loneliness and nature are the ones that forget us in our pain and wounds When we lose our dearest, we must be alone and be alone in order for us to rest psychologically.
Very Cool
New subscriber here Just found your videos a few days ago and love them I enjoy the art of the silent film and the skills you bring to the table
Meatfast, the king of breakfast.
If you use, evergreen wood, for your fire, when cooking meat, directly, over the fire, you ingest, much creosote, which eventually, will cause problems, in your blood stream, as well as, your nervous system. Use hardwoods only, for direct, meat cooking. Just a word of advice, from a 70-year-old native, of Maine, who, has spent many hours, in the forest, cooking food, on an open campfire.
Awesome trip video. I just discovered your channel definitely subscribed.
High, i see a very efficient wood-use here. kindly Fiete
LOVE my UCO Gear! Another awesome video. Subscribing :)
Excellent job, using spruce boughs, for your shelter. Pine, would never work well, in these situations. I know, I've tried it, in Maine, when I was a boy.
Amazing
Subbed!
Ficou muito top esse abrigo.
Like he had to drag those pine branches lol
i hope you will make more longer video. thanks

That's one ghili suit camp. 😄
I loved this. I was sick last year and stuck inside, but all better now and ready to get outdoors! What kind of clothing, including your gloves, are you using?
Reviews by Rob Glad to hear you're in good health and back to being in the outdoors. Thanks for watching! My clothing isn't anything too special. A wool sweater, wool fingerless gloves, and a pair of nylon pants for wind & moisture protection. Take care and happy trails!
