- 3 days, making leanto shelter, beef jerky, all night fire, using a home made axe, no sleeping bag, sleeping with reindeer skins. Open the full video description for more information.
This is the long version of the video - here is the short version • Bushcraft trip - natur...
----------------------------
Location: Denmark - previous viking country. West coast of Jutland - sand, big sea, spruce and pine forrest. Some of the most remote in Denmark, but a lot of people in Denmark so limited how remote it can get. A lot of birds and deer. No bears only a few wolves - nothing dangerous for campers. If you want to do the same in Denmark do you need to be the owner or get the owners permission.
----------------------------
Consuming: Water, spruce tea. Cow, salt.
----------------------------
A few quick questions:
1. Do you sell?
No. Don't sell anything.
2. How long did it take to dry the meat?
About 6 hours. The wind, sun and salt helps the drying go faster.
3. what backpack are you using?
A modified M39 from the Swedish military. I have used mine for years. Very common in general here in Scandinavia.

Some of the gear used in the video:
1. Sweaters = unknown.
2. Pot = made by "Pathfinder" 2 liters.
3. Pants = made by "Klattermusen"
4. Axe = homemade
5. Boots = made by "Redback" original boots

and I am watching the video by skipping seconds:)
Your videos have given me peace, friend. Thank you.
i was just going to post the same thing, i had a bad day and was tense but after 2 of runes vids i feel at peace .
You are right! Watching this gives me peace, and also the mood to go bushcrafting!
A shame my health doesnt allow it.
But again, very nice and peacefull videos. Thank you Rune!
O contato com a natureza nesses vídeos também me trás paz
This is a very wholesome comment, I hope you're still doing well.
I would agree but this absolute clown put his meats directly on the sooty, charred, burnt-up lookin' logs and I became livid
his slight childish smile of enjoyment gets me every time
.ĆĆm.
Joy on his face everytime
Yes! The moment when the fire begins to burn :D
I believe they call that Satori.

That ambient noise level, it's bliss for people with tinnitus. Beautiful.
It gives me also very much mental and physical rest….its praying till the day i also want to do this …juist get away for good
I can watch this guy for hours. That's the way most people used to live before the Industrial Revolution. As computers and machines get more advanced we are moving further and further away. But what keeps me hopeful is the enormous amounts of likes and subscribers to this channel, which shows that deep down many people yearn to go back to the simple life.
we do, get rich make sure ur kids got money, then dissapear into the forest
Raniboy33 me too! Found his channel and it has been a peace of escape for me when I’m stress
Instincts, people are so isolated in their rooms, city, work that they often get stressed and depressed, the best cure is to experience some nature.
Sure back to the bush for about 3 days then ... that's it ! Time to get back to some comfortable digs and a good nights rest ! 😌
u sound like the unabomber
Rune: Takes time to clean the meat from small pieces of dirt.
Also Rune: Throws meat straight onto the coals.
Beautiful work though!
Fresh coals are the cleanest thing in nature. Its been purified by fire. Also coal helps to digest. 2 birds with 1 stone
Also a little strange thing, eating your food with particles of ashes left over after cooking it in or on top of the ashes from the campfire will actually help your immune system
You guys are so gullible... He eats and sleeps in his RV.
@@julesgardet659 Lol.
@@julesgardet659 I don't know whether you're joking or not, but is it that hard to believe that people enjoy camping?
This videos helped me to sleep at night and to fight depression!😀
You're one of the only CZcamsrs that I find watching your videos more then once.
It's funny how you watch bushcrafters and survival tubers and they are always scrambling to do half of what you do like their a chicken with their heads cut off. Then here you are silent and moving at your ease as well as taking breaks here and there. Such a calming way of making videos. Keep up all the great work.
Absolutely love the no talking approach, Combined with the beautiful Scandinavian scenery and minimalism. Love the finished product. Awesome.
Check out Almazan Kitchen too!! Amazing primitive cooking ASMR.
I love how you can say so much by saying nothing. No long winded explanations, no sponsor shoutouts, just beautiful and informative storytelling.
I never get fed up of watching this guys videos. Brilliant.
🇨🇦That fire build was super cool. Lasted all day into the next without having to chop would constantly. Loved the footage so beautiful.
You truly have earned, subscriptions, not asking for them, not setting goals and challenges, rather using amazing skills to make people really want to follow what you produce absolutely love it

Mr. Faith he he Ik I live here
My wife and I love watching your videos. Especially on Thursdays when we're getting ready to head out into the bush for the weekend. Thanks for making them. All the best from Canada.
The minimalism and simplicity is wonderful. No need for lots of fancy complicated heavy gear . Made me enthusiastic for camping again . Knowledge instead of gear. I like how he used dry standing dead wood for fire , dead wet wood from the ground for the reflector and a live branch to tie the top of the stakes holdings the reflector logs .
This man had to crawl in to bed and get comfy just to get back up and turn off his cameras
Mitchell Lewis is that how he does it? Each angle and change of scene?
@@drakewilliams10dw Pretty much yeah, otherwise they would run out of memory very fast
Could have a remote control . Just sayin
Could it just be timer?
yes! exactly , thank you
the way you take your time in doing stuff calms me down , now after watching this i have less stress , my hearts beats slower and breath easy and drink my tea not caring about any headache of my work . sorry for oversharing.
Haaa, it must be because im a high strung American, it gives me massive anxiety that shit aint bein done fast enough, probably oughta drink more i guesd
What can I say? I have no words in my dictionary for explaining how beautiful it is. No sound, no music, fully natural. I have never seen anything like this before on CZcams or anywhere else. It gives a relaxing experience. In a words, Celestial!
There is definitely lots of sounds happening here.
I think you had yours on mute lad 😉
This is more enjoyable than a movie. I love that there is no music, just the sounds of nature. Great Video!
First time listener. I very much appreciate no music, minimal chatter, and watching and listening to the simple tasks you engage in the wilderness. Thank you for sharing.
I must say that your videos are really well done and a pleasure to watch, its such a beautiful place and has a type of magical quality to it. Also I like how you just have the sound's of nature, makes a well crafted film. Thanks for posting and all the best from the u.k.
@woodsboy hi there, I'm a big fan of online bushcraft you can learn some great things from these channels, I'm from South England

Sometimes when I have a panic attack I put on one of your videos and it helps me calm down because they’re so relaxing. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us!
What a beautiful handy, efficient axe you have; lightweight, sharp, and perfect handle length. Your vids are very instructive and all without a single word. Thank you. Keep well.
Thank you❤
First time watcher. I love that your blades are sharp, your accuracy of aim is high, you've had many, many hours of practice. This isn't just a video of "Oh, I might go film a couple of things I've recently learnt about bushcraft." This is a culmination of hundreds of hours of research and practice. That is refreshing and I sincerely thank you for that.
Rune you were born 1000 years to late. Erik the Red would've been proud to have you on his team. Freakin' awesome dude. Thanks!
@@buttersoup5689 Thanks man..👍
Who is Erik the red ?
This guys CZcams videos are more entertaining than anything I've seen in theaters in years. Beautiful country mate.
This man looks completely at home. Calm, patient, precise.
Thanks for your beautiful video.
I'm Narcoleptic, it's means I fall asleep anywhere and anytime but yet I never sleep inside my body.
So, I'm exhausted all the day and night.
Your video relieved me, and I want to thank you for that.
You convey your story through your excellent videography, capturing all that needs to be told without a word. A rare gift indeed. In fact everything you do, from forging iron, carving wood, making shelters, fires and cooking, is a reflection of the true artist and creator within. Your work is very entertaining...well done. Cheers from New Zealand.
Men thank you for the generosity of takes and frames. Thanks for all the many times you move your camera. Thank you for your dedication and hard work it's beautiful!
I just imagine him going back to work and they ask him what he did on vacation. I bet he just started off into space peacefully and says, "oh nothing much."
I'm pretty sure this is his life, he was living out of his car and camping all the time. These CZcams videos probably paid him enough money to camp for the rest of his life, which is probably what he is now doing. He cracked the code and is truly a free man.
What I like most about your videos is that you don't talk and when you eat your food you don't go on about how great it is and make stupid sounds. Great videos.
The most important fact about Rune is that in every moment, in every video, stretching back to the beginning, he is smiling.
Your videos are the most beautiful I have ever seen! When I watch them all my stress melts away. Magical. Thank You Sir.
You are so happy out there. Every time your face is in frame, it has a satisfied smirk all over it. Your passion for this is evident, and I enjoy your content.
I have no words to describe how much joy and peace i feel watching this video. Just want to say thank you.
Now THAT shows some serious skills, to nurse the ember to the exact point where the wind can do the final work! Impressive! So beautiful!
I especially like the part when he said...

I like the part where he took his axe out of his sheath then hanged the sheath just to use the backside of the axe then immediately he puts his axe back in the sheath
What i love from his videos is not using his tongue unlike many other fake utubers who talk alot and give little to none info. And secondly rune doesn't use technology or modern factory products he showa us how to survive in real situation. He is real and deserves likes. I have learned alot from this video alone like the shelter making, smoking the meat, wood piling and fire making and the most valuable patience ❤️
the accuracy with the axe is admirable my friend! Congratulations on reaping the benefits of your many hours practicing and honing your skills.
True Danish Viking Bushcrafter! Greetings from Moravia!
Tell me why ive been on my couch all day on my day off watching your videos, theres just something relaxing about these,
Cheers from kentucky 🍻
You my friend almost put me asleep with how relaxed but skilled you go about your business setting up camp. Well done. I take it you slept much better the second night with the extra prep. And I take it you used a flint rock to create the comfortable fire. Well done.
Rune, I could watch you forever. You move so calmly. Thanks for all.
It’s awesome watching you because I always move fast to get things done fast for some reason, but watching you take your time it’s also a better way to pay attention and make sure you don’t get yourself hurt!
I've always loved the idea of being a Craftsman/woodsman such as yourself, being able to live one hundred percent "off the land" and off the grid, you're videos are absolutely amazing, and while highly entertaining I also learned as well. Keep producing videos, and keep being great at what you do.
not only is this guy knowledgeable about bush craft, but he also put this video together to make it a work of art, I feel so zen after watching this, loads of talent poured into this channel
I just dont understand how people can dislike a video like this. Great job, dude. Congrats
Because of you I search my metarials all the week in found all of my stuff
I will go this week end for have a day alone with myself.
I want to thanks you for that
Continue your work and your vidéo and thanks for all tips I learn more with you
Have you back home? I think this outdoor life needs experience skill for sure. Once make a mistake could be a long term memories
Hmm Tesl there’s only one way to get experience by doing it
Trial and error
You take less and less on your outings and you are still able to smooth it out there..it is awesome to see you progress with your skills and know how..Thank You and keep up the GREAT Vidz!!!
Mental. I've not long restored my Grandad's 1950 West Germany Feuer Hand. Was watching your other videos whilst doing it and have today stumbled across this. I like the DD kit and will be off trying out their whoopie slings this weekend. Big fan of your work man, informative and entertaining.More of these!
Growing up in Alaska you learn a lot of tricks this guy just adds to the portfolio man. I love this guy.
I thought that was pretty amazing with the fire, in my inexperience I thought "Is it not going to start?" But then he's like "Watch this shit" and just sets it down like a boss. For all I know, this guy speaks alien but that says a lot for someone's content when they don't say a single word and still provide high quality entertainment. Hats off to you sir, and thank you for sharing.
This only makes my heart ache more for the outdoors... I find myself watching these at night and feeling chills from the landscapes and the audio (and lack thereof)
I have to thank you for continuing to fuel my wanderlust.
This is my favorite camping/bushcraft channel. It seems like most of these vids have a close up of the guy talking the whole time and fill every second with talking. This is much better.
This is the best movie I watched. It has the best script, best soundtrack, best visuals, best dialogues.
Inspiration and peaceful.
Thanks from France !
You’re so inspiring I like to follow your path. Thank you so much 🙏🌺🌷
He is so chill that I almost fell asleep😳
from all the bushcraft videos i been binging on i have to say you are within the top 3 !
You don't talk, you tell everything 😊💪
I've watched all your videos and almost something from every other bush crafter out there.....this may be THE BEST ever bush craft video. It has it all, and it has amazing video and sound, really well thought out shots and framing, the editing is top notch. Congrats on making something worthy of any big budget production company but accessible and inspirational as ever. Well done!!!!!!
it has no hunting, but usually human farmers don't allow that
Nice that you are feeling better again, great that you found so much material for a lot of natural shelter, it was really nice to see you 🖐❤🌲🔥🌲❤🖐
Hey Bertram! I just wanted to say I've been really noticing your videography skills! I really appreciate how you make me feel like I'm really there enjoying the beauty of the moment with you 😊👍Thank you for the experience sir!

Best bushcraft camp ever on CZcams, everything is possible with a sharp axe.
Wow! Great video again. You are the best! 👍
Love your videos perfect wind sounds relaxing crackling of the fire and overcast. Could fall asleep too the sounds alone but the visuals are magnificent in itself.

I love bushcraft there is no more satisfying ancient art held by human kind than making useful things or your own art with your hands
My favourite thing about this video is the silence and lack of narrative that most of these types of videos have.
Love this video. Your great storytelling through video brings calmness and makes it very enjoyable to watch the whole video. Well done!
Really like what your doing, with no artificial back ground noise it's like I'm there with you. Love it.

I love your videos especially blacksmithing...
