- The 2017 2020 Opel Insignia is in extremely good shape. The engine portfolio starts with a newly designed extremely efficient gasoline unit, the 1.5-liter Turbo with 103 kW/140 hp and 121 kW/165 hp.
The 2.0-liter Turbo delivers 191 kW/260 hp and maximum torque of 400 Nm.
The propulsion offering for the Grand Sport is rounded off by the new six-speed manual transmission for the popular 1.6-liter diesel engines with outputs of 81 kW/110 hp and 100 kW/136 hp.
Above this comes the refined 2.0-liter diesel, which will also be available for the Sports Tourer at launch, with 125 kW/170 hp.

I like where Opel has headed in the last five years. The new Astra, Insignia and now the Grandland are all very nice looking cars.
If their engines stay reliable and they don't get too much influence from the french I think Opel can actually rise back to the top where they once were.
(Thank god they left GM)
Beautiful car! Whatever some say about Opel's quality, it really looks different and much more interesting compared to most of other cars in it's segment.

Sucessor do Vectra... maravilha de carro a GM não valorizou essa marca é muito menos o carro e retirou do Brasil onde com a linha Opel era líder no segmento...esse carro vindo para o Brasil como Vectra, acabou Civic, acabou Corolla...mais não quiseram...em seu lugar colocaram o Cruze... agora com o grupo PSA talvez tenhamos o privilégio de ver esse veículo no Brasil, tirando mercado dá GM, seria muito legal!!

I did drive both cars, nsignia has a mucj better stabilization, you can commit excess. About acelration its difficult to tell. but i would go for insignia concerning performance
Torque vectoring on a grand tourer (that's what they're calling this) is great but they should concentrate on a few other things first. Better front seats would be a good start so it doesn't feel like you've been sat on a park bench after a long drive, a longer wheel base etc. This is nothing but a glorified insignia and is more on a par to a C5. A 5008 probably makes a better tourer than this but neither even come close to a Passat. VW's new passats are huge then they have the CC, the new Arteon and of course the phenomenal Phaeton! Keep trying Vauxhall/ Opel.
During WW II the Germans would often use Renault tanks because they were so well built. Very fast with good armor and gun range. Not sure why their cars aren't as well built. The Renault FT-17/18 was sought after by the Germans. Just as American soldiers dropped their M16's for AK47's in Vietnam.

All cars become OPEL one day. As an owner of it I strongly recommend to think twice. If you are real fan of OPEL go for ASTRA it is much more relieble.

dexon777. How the fuckity fuck?! The Passat R-line or Passat GTE competes with Audi's exterior design! I would take a Passat GTE or R-line over an Audi A4 any day, but how does this compete with the Passat and A4?! Passat is the best luxurious and executive car under ~$60K in the world!
[Edit] I just checked the American version, yes, the American version looks absolutely retarded, but I still like it more than this. You guys should check out the German version.

I have one issue with Opel and Vauxhall. They are so bloody noisy inside.

Don't know I didn't find that issue I had an insurance loan car I thought it was slow for a 2.0td with 170 bhp my friends 2008 Merc E220cdi was quicker. But the engine weren't especially loud , and road noise seemed acceptable . To me at least anyway
Alen Rissling I've driven a Zafira Tourer till last month and i don't have noise inside driving the highways in Germany. It was really quiet inside even while i drive fast. The noise inside of a Opel gets less if u change from Astra to Zafira to Insignia. And i know what i talk about ...so i drive all 3 cars the last years.
I also think this is the same with every manufacturer between the classes of cars (mid-range, compact car, van etc.)
