- Here's a how-to paint wall paneling video - I see this question posted so many times on my other investment videos and on Facebook DIY groups so I thought I'd answer it here today while doing this cabin flip!
The secret is all in the prep work. You MUST MUST MUST sand the walls and wipe them down with a wet rag. I get that painting sucks already and this just adds to the tedious amount of work, but you won't regret doing it right the first time.

While I was in the painting frenzy, I went ahead and tackled the stair hand rail too by sanding it down and applying some Early American Minwax Stain.

This is our new journey in the real estate investing world where we'll take on a full cabin remodel in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The plan is to fully update and make this a short term rental or "vacation rental property".

We will be implementing the BRRRR method where we Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, and then Repeat. This cabin was already purchased $10K under appraised value so we are in the green. Once updated, our hope is to rent this out on short term rental platforms like AirBnb and VRBO, then refinance to pull all of the money out that we put in and do this again on another property.
We've never done this before so this will be an adventure. We're starting here in NC but the dream is to have several of these across the country that we can live in or rent out as needed.

Impressive high ceilings, looks awesome. I cant believe you. You jumped off a roof into a pool now you dive off a tall ladder??? LOL The place is really coming along well. It is the simple things that you do that make it nicer. Spray painting hooks, extra wipe down, caulking seams. Great job!!!
