finally some people who put some respect on jeremy lin's name.
Facts 😊
Jeremy Lin cool but throwing him with Kobe was disrespectful he’s not winning no way that team was horrible
Kobe was an incredible player-- and a serious dickhead.
@@mylilbra1 Bro he was there as a backup to Steve Nash lol. You're the one being disrespectful throwing blame on Lin for that mess of a lineup.
@@mylilbra1 Remember Byron Scott had a 0ppg point guard start over Lin?
What's admirable for Lin is, he endured so much shxx in the NBA & still pushes to be a better person. Lin can play, & it's for real, & his first slap on Kobe's face with the Linsanity game 38 pts & destroyed the Lakers was never a fluke. I've followed Lin long enough to see how effective has been when given playing time. Whenever Harden or the stars are out & he plays 30 mins+, he scores a lot & make others better. Hornets was smart in using him as 6th man & in end of games. He could've been a starting PG on most teams in the league. Lakers' was Kobe's team & no one can go above him, esp Lin who slapped his face.
For real. I wish he just drop the bomb and give us names and details of all the racism he faced. I bet you it be the hottest selling book or documentary but Lin too nice man. He only gave us snippets.
HE NEEDDS to expose these racist fucks@@CodyGreen-nn2lj
Jeremy Lin isn’t even in Kobe’s atmosphere
Flukeeer
It’s laughable to compare lin to kobe
Lin had a crazy run. He wasn’t a trash player after linsanity. Lin was a good role player and had a decent NBA career.
Yeah 2015-2016 Hornets J.Lin was showing signs of resurgence too.
@@IMzKDC23 he had a great run with nets too before injuries. almost forgot about hornets cuz it was brief. All in all, Lin was in longer than ppl expected, if only he worked on his 3 pointer, maybe hed be in.
As an asian its crazy j lin made it to the league lol
Lin had a 10 year career and a chip, he's had a fantastic nba career. And I think as time went on, more and more nba players began to respect Lin
@@IMzKDC23 helped hornets beat lebron's cav for the first time and also helped them to get to the playoffs, nearly beat the d.wade's heat until d.wade went off

Mf always have good games on lockdown Teague 😭😭
@@Jacob-jv2cjworst part about the nba is that players seem to score better on elite defense 😂. They’ll miss an open shot but make every contested one
It always gets me when NBA players remember details of regular season games. Lin had 15 pts, 10 asts on 6-7 shooting that game.
So that isn’t a great game from a point guard in the NBA ?
@@cpaugusteexactly lol like those are good numbers especially if your shooting guard is kobe Bryant. those are derek fisher numbers

Everybody was hating Jeremy Lin waiting for my man’s to fail. But as I can it was a good time for basketball
Nah nobody was hating on him... The reason he exploded onto the scene was cause everybody loves a good underdog story.
Yup being from nyc it was a great time
The thing is with Lin is he came from barely on the team sleeping on a teammates couch to having that crazy run! Glad they realize how crazy it was! A lot of ppl say it was just cuz he was Asian, but no I’ve never seen anything like it!
Yep, & people say the run was only 7 games or 2 weeks, when it really was 2 months. And it was also a lockout year. It could have definitely gone on longer if it wasn't for the injury. It was probably fate & for the better that Lin left NY. And he got many racist tweets by NY fans because of leaving, showing these fans' true colors. People also forget that Lin was just a rookie too that whole time. These days, Lin is dropping 35, 38 & 50-point etc games in Taiwan. Kobe saying "You left me with this sh*t?" was basically cuz Lin had been riding rent free in his mind for 2 years prior. People might say I could be disrespectful saying that about someone who has already died, but when you are disrespectful yourself to others who did nothing bad to you while you were alive, then I think that equalizes it already.
Jeremy Lin is a story people should rally behind.
I mean it was cause he was Asian but not in the way you’re thinking, the league didn’t wanna give him a real opportunity to prove himself because he was an Asian dude from Harvard. He always had that in him
@@jbwolf4 damn that's crazy maybe he should of done something after the Knicks
@@kylemackellar9209 what part of “the league didn’t wanna give him a real opportunity” didn’t you understand the first time?
I am 32 and that spin off d fish still run rent free on my mind lol😅
Idc what nobody says Melo was the reason Lin didn’t turn into a superstar. Lin in D’Antonis offense was going crazy. Melo was a hater and got both of them out of NY. Lin then went to Houston with the ball hog harden and never got a chance to run a team like he was during the Linsanity run. One of the biggest what ifs in NBA history.
Yeah Lin was perfect for D'Antonis' system. He was becoming a Nash type player.
pretty much
This is precisely what ruined that run. Stoudemire has a clip where he hints at the jealousy. Melo ruined the team and got D'Antoni fired.
@@chrisguevara and its why melo wont go down in same calibur as other greats of his generation.
Melo is a bitch boy. Did a great job editing his own NOBODY SIGNED ME "retirement" video. 😂

jeremy lin scored 38 on kobe and the lakers and NY won. i remember that game. Its fun to rewatch it sometimes :)
"I ain't passing the ball to Morris Chestnut."
Lol something about that line had me cracking up. 😂😂
Teague was correct in saying, he would have been next to be dissed by Kobe because Teague ain't that much of an upgrade over Lin. To be fair to all these guys during those years, since Kobe is so beloved, nobody touches the elephant in the room. And that is Kobe, himself, sucked those years. He was out there shooting 35%, but calling out his teammates. That's tuff. I would want out of that team.
Lmao it was his last couple years everyone knew he sucked it’s not an elephant in the room.
@@TeamKP1exactly, he wanted to talk shit to make his team mates want to try harder.
@@205rlg6 worked out great for that lakers team.
That's just how Kobe motivated his teammates. Notice he said Lin had a good game...
The problem with kobe back then was he thought he will be the same before his achilles injury but he wasnt and he accepted on of the biggest contract extensions too. They wont be able to sign anyone
Lin should’ve been like “I gave u work in NY” lol
lmao bragging about a regular season game to Kobe is insane

Jeremy Lin would've been an all star if he starts playing in this era. He's smart, high basketball IQ, decent shooter, good ball handling, good passer and hard worker. Combined with the fact that he's very eloquent and affable, social media would've root for him like crazy.
He’s an undersized guard with below average shooting. He came in at the right time and fizzled out because he couldn’t shoot 3’s.
He’s the same age as Steph Curry.
@@danparish1344 No, he wasn't undersized, he was a 6'3 PG... Bad coaches slowed his development and later the injuries. When Lin got that contract with the Nets, he was truly at his peak! He was a much better all round player around that time than he was during the linsanity run.
@@danparish13446’3 isn’t undersized for a point guard dummy.
It is foul for a teammate to throw one of their own under the bus like that. I played team sports and that is an easy way to ruin your own team by saying " you left us this shit", bruv and that came for the best player on the team. I loved Kobe, but that is wrong. I would bet serious money that saying something like that will ruin any titles from being won.
And it did! No way they should have lost to Detroit with Shaq and Kobe + all the others, but you have to give it to the Pistons. They were playing team ball while Kobe was making sure Ben Wallace got more touches than Shaq.
kobe was an awful teammate
The boosie segment had me rolling boy 😂
I don’t get why ppl trashing Jeremy Lin. The dude was a cold ass player if he was drafted in this era of basketball he would be considered a superstar, it just sucks that he was in an era where coaches didn’t know how to build around him
6’3 combo guard who was fast and had great handles could create his own space anywhere and could shoot the 3s
He can shoot the 3? He has a career to begin with because he came in at a time when the 3 wasn’t as valued. He’s literally the same age as Steph Curry. His career fizzled out because he lost his speed and wasn't a good shooter that could space the floor.
@@danparish1344 his shooting is not consistent. that is why. it makes him so predictable. lay up as last resort, always
Lmao
Kobe high key hated Lin. It’s no secret lol
Kobe never forgot the Lin scored 38 on his Lakers and got embarrassed. He wanted to see Lin failed as a Lakers and even got him benched for some scrub. I remember the next season when Lin was with the Hornets and playing Lin, Kobe fouled him hard because they were beating his team and Lin was playing well.
Them roasting Morris Chestnut is crazy 😂

Thank You! Thank You! I feel so vindicated now. lol. In high school, I couldn’t get over the fact that I KNEW Omar Epps couldn’t hoop and it ruined the movie for me. I thought it was so obvious but others LOVED that movie. Good to know I wasn’t the only one thinking that.

He black so he don't count. That only seems to count for nonblack NBA players like Lin and Austin Reeves.
NBA did J. Lin Dirty mann he worked so hard
We need some John Wall stories lol
Ayyyye don’t worry, Linsanity fasho got paid by Houston! Never saw anything like that run and actually saw him beat the Wolves during that run. 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah but Houston fucked over Lin by bringing in Harden, an extremely ball dominant guard, when Lin was a ball dominant guard as well. They forced Lin to be a spot up shooter, which is not his game.
Y’all tripping I love like mike 🤣🤣🤣 Fr childhood classic
Bro said he probably got a BIG gun 🤣💀 JT just be talkin!!
Linsanity did not die because he sucked, he died because NBA failed him, traded him off every team because they don't want an Asian playing with them 🤦🏼♂️ maybe not making 30 pts per game but he's still pretty good.
His career ended because of his injuries, it’s got nothing to do with his race.
Josh Dobbs for the Vikings had a crazy two week run this year.

Real talk, every team J-Lin was on, the vast majority of his black teammates were super jello of him. It's understandable, some asian kid comes in, being more popular than the vast majority of them and getting all the attention. Kobe was jealous of Jeremy and that's the truth. He definitely lost a lot of his asian fans seeing the way he treated Lin.
i can vouch as a asian, any respect i had for kobe as a kid went out the window at that moment. he knew lin was a Cali kid who grew up looking up to him. Lin won a chip, had some meaningful time on a good hornets team, and is a great player overseas. He is a great ambassador for basketball worldwide so it all worked out
Nah I didn't like jlin fans obnoxious asians that never watch nor played the game til he popped up. When I play bball in hs some asn girl told me my layup wasn't a layup I was like bro it's a reverse layup. I like lin but I dont like the dumb hype cuz he is azn. It's annoying
Kobe was a lot of things. He wasnt like that. He was probably more disappointed he wasnt as good as his linsanity run
you can say melo and other teams, but kobe wasnt jelly of anyone, im a fan of both and kobe has a lot of respect for international players cuz he played over seas. Kobe was injured and bitter that he couldnt play for 1 year, his team was "tanking" something he rarely experienced, and the lakers team wasnt great built to win games to make playoffs. Plus this was him "on court" , millions of people never saw him off court. This feels opinionated which you can think of kobe/lin however you like. If lin played like chris paul or carried the lakers to playoffs, itd be a whole different story.
Funny how nobody questions JLin's basketball IQ as a point guard. If he was black with that IQ and that all around game...he would still be in the league. Truth.
facts, the league and players were hella racist. especially bringing on dumbass harden to the rockets to be a ballhog
Smart people knows what Lin is capable of out on that court. Both IQ and talent. Too bad coaches and the injuries F8cked him over.

Yeah i think the social media point was on point, social media existed before that but it didnt really go off until much later.
And i think another example of how socials can aid players is Lebrons goat conversation.
I honestly cant imagine how much the world would explode if MJ AI or Kobe played in the social media era. Things are gonna be crazy cuz those arent just basketball stars, they are also the greatest "personality"/icon ever in basketball.

kobe was wild lmaooooooooo
Lin was just a unicorn situation. First of all it was a Asian hooping like that, then it was for the New York knicks.
Like Mike is a classic
There was nothing wrong with Lin, the problem was Kobe was his own worse enemy. Kobe couldn't be a truly leader and build up his teammates to make THEM better, which results HIS team being better.
He just wasn't built like that. He grew up idolizing MJ and took both the best and worst aspects of him. He still got to 2 titles in 08 and 09 without relying on Shaq.
@@tyes77 Agreed. He copied MJ, but he didn't IMPROVE upon what he copied- which should of been not punching down on his younger teammates, and instead building them up. He could of adjusted his attitude, and learned to be better. No matter how good you are, 5 defeats 1 in this game.
