*AMERICA 🌎 = NORTH AMERICA + CENTRAL AMERICA + SOUTH AMERICA.* The U.S. is not America. America is the name of our Continent, from Canada to Argentina. Recently archeologists found evidence that the Roanoke colony assimilated with the nearby Native American tribes. There are even accounts of "grey-eyed Natives" in the area, so it's safe to say that they had some European genes.
Croatoan was the name of an Indian tribe who took the settlers to the swamps of N. Carolina when faced with extermination by other tribes. They are now called the Lumbees after the Lumbee River which flows near Pembroke NC. The Lumbees are still struggling to be recognized as an "official" tribe. Most of the surnames are Locklear, Lowery, and Hunt. I lived with them for several years in the early 1980s.
There's no such thing as "native Americans." We, the europeans, are the native Americans. Because no "America" existed until we made it. The warring Indian tribes were neither a "nation" or "americans". Therefore, they cannot be "Native Americans."

I'm noticing a cycle with these early U.S. wars: 1. One side would win the early battles 2.There would be a turning point in the war 3.The other would start winning battles more later on in the war 4.The Final battle would involve the winning side invading and conquering a major place 5.Treaty that would involve the other side losing territory.
Really great video. I love your work. I don’t know if this has been mentioned yet, but at around 17:00 you show a picture of William Pitt the Younger, when I believe you are talking about William Pitt the Elder. Sorry to bother you with this.
I debated on whether or not to post this, because I don't mean to sound at all like a critic against the work you've done on such an informative and amazingly even-handed historical series of videos in this highly charged political environment of today! I also know there is SO much to cover in each series - but what a missed opportunity in this video to recap America's very first overseas conflict as a new nation, in 1801-05 when the fledgling US Navy and Marines under President Thomas Jefferson fought the Barbary Pirates along the North African coast! The Pasha of Tripoli had declared war on the US, and although congress never formally declared war in return, they did authorize military response and off we went!! And we won! (As it happens, the US entering into conflict without fornally declaring war appears to be something we now have down to a fine art..!)
Awesome video, subscribed, love the paintings and presentation, my only very humble critique: just please slow down a bit, you will mumble less and have clearer enunciation.
Good video. I was looking for some info on the details of the colonization process of the New World, and this answered some of my questions. By 1776 there were over 2 million, a population explosion with increasing pressure for expansion and looking for an excuses to tell England to piss off. You've really done an exceptional job with this video.
After watching various other Videos from this Channel which are all exceptionality neutral, I'm excited for your take on the history of your homeland, my hopes are high. Edit: I came to the conclusion that I don't know even closely enough about the history of the US to make a clear decision. Maybe I come back after diving deeper into this topic, I got a few books about various specific events mentioned that I never touched, which should be a good starting point to get a more educated and established opinion.
26:05 - Map (lower left) - Seemingly forgotten by history, there were actually 15 colonies at the time of the American Revolution. - East Florida and West Florida did not join the other 13 in the revolt. Those Florida Colonies have a jumbled History. Spain ceded Florida to Britain at the end of the Seven Years War in 1763: the true 1st World War (that George Washington inadvertently started at Fort Necessity). This was done in exchange for the return of Cuba and the Philippines that were seized by the British during the war. The British divided the region into 2 new Colonies. After the American Revolution Florida was ceded back to Spain in 1783. Spain then ceded Florida to the US in 1819; in exchange for dropping lawsuits by Americans against Spain totaling about 5 million dollars - and Florida finally became a state in 1845.
I think the statement about Columbus should be revised to say that even though Columbus was placed as governor, intrigue amongst other settlers, and favoritism by the Spanish monarchy for other leaders made it difficult if not impossible for Columbus to lead effectively. Columbus was not brutal, but many of the Spaniards with him were very brutal. If you read the Life and Voyages of Christopher Columbus by Washington Irving you’ll get more detail, on what happened. Columbus was not supported, and Spain didn’t keep their agreements with him.
oh really that explain why your precious columbus, write to the queen his intentions of enslaved the natives, colombus was a moster there a document of 46 pages that describies the horror and madnesses of his goverment.

This statement is so untruth: “Immediately after Spain’s discovery the other major powers of Europe (Portugal, France and England), realised they need to jump up into the theatre right way”. - England wasn’t a major power of Europe at that time annyway, an it take them more than a century after the discovery to established a successful settlement in the new continent. The same can be said for the French, even though earlier than their English counterparts they didn’t successfully settle in Canada until late 16 century, after having failed in its attempts to colonise around the coast of Florida and others. So yeah, “right way” (the John Cabot voyage mentioned in this video was an isolated expedition with no real attempts in accomplished any form of conquest of land for England). - Thus that statement is only truth for Portugal, even though they were more preoccupied with the actual Indies of the east than in the west hemisphere. Only Portugal and Spain had the naval technology and cartography knowledge required to accomplish that deed in those times. - it’s amazing how they skip all the major expeditions and exploration in North America by the Spanish in the 1500s, along with the oldest towns in what is now USA and just cut up to the 1600s to talk about the English.

A historical combo of peace, war, stability, balance, perseverance, standing, sitting, gathering, celebrating, coming together, privileges, and so much to list to continue
ghandhi?
they literally massacred almost all of the native americans who owned the lands for many years. they killed, exploited, raped, tortured those people for years after years. they took their lands and built this shit because they thought they were entitled just because they were white. and where is freedom, peace and coming together?? america and british's history is full of shame not peace.
Thanks so much the information
A lot of information🙂 cool
I'm noticing a cycle with these early U.S. wars:
1. One side would win the early battles
2.There would be a turning point in the war
3.The other would start winning battles more later on in the war
4.The Final battle would involve the winning side invading and conquering a major place
5.Treaty that would involve the other side losing territory.
Thats the history of war in general
Congratulations you passed 5th grade history.
This is exactly what we’re studying in school right now thanks!
Glad I could help!
Hello,
Very interesting video's
I am not able to use the link to jump across to part 2?
Where can i find it?
Thanks
Very informative
Fabulous concise and informative video. However I can't access the link to Part 2. is it me or is it down? Thanks.
Part 1 is great, but why is part 2 unavailable?
Imperator88vis My home town is named after this war and the marines and sailors who fought in this war!
Thank you. I agree. So much work yet added nothing more than High School history book.
Kinda waste of time
Well said!
Awesome video, subscribed, love the paintings and presentation, my only very humble critique: just please slow down a bit, you will mumble less and have clearer enunciation.
I’m just binge watching videos like these cause i have an AP US test tomorrow.
Good job dude your videos keep me from falling asleep in traffic.
Is there a part 2? Link below says video has been removed. Anybody know if it exists and where to find it?
7:31 - John Smith: “I leave you people alone for 5 minutes and everything goes to shit!” 🤕
Ya they sure depended on him a lot.
The link to Part 2 doesn't work! Your work is amazing. Please re-upload or tell me where I can watch it!
I really love this video
Hi, if you like history videos, I have made a few. If you ever get a chance, I'd like some feed back!
Good video. I was looking for some info on the details of the colonization process of the New World, and this answered some of my questions. I'm doing research for a possible story I want to write set in a fictional new world colony. Do you have any books or sources you'd recommend for further information on the first years and growth of Jamestown and other early colonies? Or just colonial history in general?

Good luck with your project!
*James Monroe (you said John) LOL Seriously though, amazing video.

Now we get to watch as it collapses in real time
Underrated comment
But the question is; When?
@@Michael_De_Santa-Unofficial I'd give it 100-300 years believe it or not. Even dying nations last generations before they bite the dust
good information.. can I use this information for university study classes .. I am a history major student. thanks
Learned a lot
The achievements of the Western world is awe inspiring.
16:53 - General John Forbes also succeeded at building a baseball field for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1909, along with Barney Dreyfuss.

Grinding for my US History exam. Patriotism at its finest.
James Monroe!!! 5th President from 1817- 1825 “the era of good feeling” from highland , Virginia. He’s In the boat with Washington in the Delaware crossing. Died on the 4th of July in New York City. James Monroe!
Where did part 2 go?
Watched this after my APUSH quarter test... big mistake cuz this summed everything up lmao. Great vid tho man
Part 2 is unavailable, please make it available again!
18:45 - Proclamation Line. This is the true impetus for the 1st serious talk of Revolution. At the time of the 1763 Proclamation there were about 200,000 settlers. By 1776 there were over 2 million, a population explosion with increasing pressure for expansion and looking for an excuses to tell England to piss off. You've really done an exceptional job with this video.
2:15 That'a false. Colombus knew that wasn't Asia but a new continent. He even described it in his journal.
Source?
@@joemiller947 His journal
@@stratant.8722 Right, but can you give me a link to a credible source for this? Unfortunately I don't personally have his journals at my house.
Very good.

Hello Elezabeth 👋👋
How are you doing and how's the weather condition over there...?
Battle of Trenton: When Washington decked the British halls.
Watching both parts 1 & 2 today for my nation's bday.
Finally,
A history program that at least included a painting of THE MONITOR &
MARIMAC, The "iron clad" ships of the Civil War.
😊👍👌✌
Nice introduction to US History
I think the statement about Columbus should be revised to say that even though Columbus was placed as governor, intrigue amongst other settlers, and favoritism by the Spanish monarchy for other leaders made it difficult if not impossible for Columbus to lead effectively. Columbus was not brutal, but many of the Spaniards with him were very brutal. If you read the Life and Voyages of Christopher Columbus by Washington Irving you’ll get more detail, on what happened. Columbus was not supported, and Spain didn’t keep their agreements with him.
oh really that explain why your precious columbus, write to the queen his intentions of enslaved the natives, colombus was a moster there a document of 46 pages that describies the horror and madnesses of his goverment.
this is a great documentary thanks fire of learning

Love America from Germany
Angelo fresh love back from the US
My great grandparents are from Germany
I fear the Angela Merkel is destroying your country with her immigration policies
Funny thing for an American to say considering your President
@@camman6912 yes Merkel is destroying Germany, but it will end soon.
Harry Molo Trump is not destroying our country, you idiot. He's fixing it. Obama is the one who tried to destroy our country, and you have absolutely no idea how much the majority of us in America hate him for it. Trump is repairing all the damage he's done.
Angelo fresh Sending love back from America.
Happy birthdays U.S.A.
Thank you.
That Civil War map though, definitely had DC on Wilmington Delaware...
Fire of Learning, what software do you use to make these videos?
I love United States of America so much and I love United Kingdom so much too.😊💙
This statement is so untruth: “Immediately after Spain’s discovery the other major powers of Europe (Portugal, France and England), realised they need to jump up into the theatre right way”.
- it’s amazing how they skip all the major expeditions and exploration in North America by the Spanish in the 1500s, along with the oldest towns in what is now USA and just cut up to the 1600s to talk about the English.
xd
Amazing effort and very informative thanks you, but I wish the speech was a bit slower and better articulated.
