    Your explanation was so clear, even a schmuck like me could do it!

    Thanks for showing the disassembly, that’s what I wanted to know. 2024 bro

    Thanks but what I was looking for was the ball is part of the whole pipe. I guess I gotta get a new pipe that doesn't have a ball so I can add different shower head.

      I am thinking mine may be part of the part of the whole pipe although there is a small chance a sort of line across it might mean it unscrews..... I do not want to have to change pipe work behind the tiles etc

      Ok… this is what I thought I would need is a shower head adapter… but when I called Home Depo and asked them this question about the adapter… the guy very quickly said”NO” ..so that’s why I decided that I needed to replace the pipe.

    Thanks. I am not sure yet if mine will screw off. I can take off the head and see the ball (which is not leaking) but my new head may need an adapter. I cannot easily see if I can remove the ball part as on the video

    Hello, I have moved into a home built in the 70’s, & I’m trying to install a new removable shower head & hose, but the new shower head will not fit the arm (I think that’s what it’s called).. anyway…the arm has a ball that is attached to the end of it, so the new one does not fit. It’s slightly to small to attach. I was told that I would need to remove the whole arm pipe & replace it with one that does not have the ball on the end. So I bought a heavy duty wrench, but when I tryed to loosen the pipe & unscrew it…it WOULD NOT BUDGE…I’m pretty certain that the pipe would burst if I used any more force to unscrew it. I really need the new shower head put on…could you be so kind as to advise me on a way to solve this problem? I would appreciate it… Thk u! PW
    PS (I was told that there is no type of adapter or anything that could be done to remedy this…so if you think the same… it’s ok…I just thought I would ask to make sure) 😊

    I'm very new at this and I changed to a new shower head and I didn't have to do some ball on the old one so do I still need the ball in order to put a new shower head on I'm confused and sorry I don't mean to sound like it's your problem it's not you're the solution

    It's just too bad you can't buy the replacement ball fixture for older shower heads, since newer shower heads they make now are horrible.

    What if the ball part is stuck on

    • @janesmith9024
      @janesmith9024 Před 2 lety

      If it is completely stuck on and part of the pipe from behind the tiles I think you might need an expert to go behind the tiles, cut if off there and solder on a new head but I might be wrong.
