  • On May 29, 2024 I solo hiked to Sandbeach Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park-Wild Basin. I was the only person on the hike this day, expect a Moose that was only a few hours before me. I never saw the Moose. This was a very difficult hike due to snow condition starting at 9800 feet. The snow was steep and slick. I feel people should wait a few weeks before attempting, unless you are experienced in GPS and route finding. You need reservations in the Wild Basin area beginning at 9 am-3pm. It was a beautiful day and very hard hike. 9.4 miles and 2043 feet of elevation gain. * Remember you always hike at your own risk. Thanks for watching.

Hard hike! So much snow and downed trees too. Glad you pulled it off in the end. Thought about doing Bluebird Lake this weekend but may have to wait for the snow to melt. Thanks for sharing
