This was one of the most important vids. I emphasize alot of people to pay attention for sure. I would love a vid on the spending of the baht and getting back change and how to use different credit cards there especially if they are from another country. Also, spending baht by denomination is interesting to see. I am just as interested seeing an episode where you get fitted for a suit a good suit shop in Thailand as I like to be tailored on nights out sometime.

card machines are a rip off dont use them you get charged in thailand for withdrawal and again in your own country plus a crap baht rate

I was in Thailand last week where I stayed for 2 weeks, 1 of them in Bangkok. As suggested in the video, I exchanged money at Sukumvit Arab Soi 3 and they actually have a much better exchange rate than the super rich which is less than 300m away. I managed to do everything 2 times spending less than 5 minutes each. Thank you very much for the video and the information!!!!! Just as a tip, maybe it's worth putting the exact address on google maps as I had some difficulty finding it with just the information posted.

@@catherine_roblox-tb8ki At Arab Soi you basically get no lines and better exchange rates compared to super rich. On top of that, they ask you only your passport to complete the transactions.
the airport exchanges downstairs are in fact the safest places to exchange money and the best place to exchange large sums cause they have the funds, just try to exchange 5-10,000 dollars at the TT exchange on the corner, 555

How do you know the exchange rate at Sukhumvit 7 and 3? Is it posted in front of the shop?
I have had a Thai bank account for about 15 years. I used to work in Thailand. As a result I can just transfer money from my US bank online to my Thai bank (SCB) with no fees and the proper exchange rates. Then I use my SCB ATM card. No fees.
Arsen I have been changing my currency at soi Arab for about 10 yrs at the same shop where you went on this video there are two lovely ladies who always smile and give great rates.

I also wondered about the maximum amount of cash you can bring I into Thailand, I thought you said that you can bring as much money as you want but I don't think Thai customs would allow me to bring 1 million United States dollars into Thailand. I thank you for your information just wondering though I'm Canadian citizen Animal House Canadian money is it easier to bring Canadian money or should I exchanged into American money? Plus I will be going to Pattaya so will not be going deep into Bangkok to exchange money as most likely I will be catching a bolt from the airport in early hours of the morning

I opened citibank checking before I came to Bangkok. There is citibank in Bangkok. Citi does charge exchange fees. Also I opened bank of America credit card, they had a promotion giving me 20000 points if I spend $1000. I was able to get round trip to Vietnam for $650. Instead over $900. Plus no foreign transaction fee. So I used bank of America credit most of times. There are many other credit cards have no foreign transaction fees. In my opinion, no fee credit card is best to use when traveling..

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I'm from the United States and 1 baht is about .03 usd. And since we are talking less than half a baht per dollar we are really talking about .01 per usd. I think time and convenience should be your determining factor
The places he showed are 34.2 versus 34.68 for the USD so if you are changing 500 USD it is about 240 baht difference but the higher rate is very central in Sukhumvit. a bank rate or other exchanges are probably a lot lower than 34.2 as well. But for small amounts it does not make a huge difference.

There is an exchange machine at Bomingrad Hospital through which you can withdraw 50,000 Thai baht and I think it is the only one in Thailand.

Do not, under any circumstance, bring cash to Thailand to exchange. Yes, you can get a good rate. But if you lose it you don't have insurance and it's gone forever. Use an ATM card on a good bank or credit union that reimburses ATM fees.

Guys it's not only one shop, you just enter sukhumvit 7 or 3 and walk inside the soi, you will see more than 10 shops ask which one is the best rate and go for it, the one I have exchanges is called Dubai exchange its between soi 7 and 3 .
