    Why can’t anyone use a 10 plus year old car with decent paint. All I see are demos on brand new vehicles. Show how well it works on an older vehicle.

      In this video, I did a test on a 2013 neglected daily driver: czcams.com/video/wQZgl8CR6o0/video.html
      The reason for the newer cars is because my typical customer base has new or newer more expensive cars. After 21 years of detailing experience, I don’t really do older cars or lower budget details.

      @boris Odor I don't care what car it is, or how many miles it has on it. no one is going to do a full professional detail for 50 bucks dude.. Products are not cheap, and you have to pay for labor as well. Its a business, profits need to be made, period. You want a cheap detail you need to do it your self, and I bet you will pay at least 50 bucks in supplies doing it yourself.. Around where I live a typical exterior detail (Wash, clay, polish, wax) is about 120 USD for a small car to around 180 USD for a large vehicle, NOT including ceramic coating. Add another ~30$ if you want ceramic in most cases. My detail guy charges 150 USD for my full sized truck. If I want ceramic it will run me about 180, and that's the best deal I have found.. Again, thats JUST the exterior.. a FULL interior/exterior detail will run you at the very least 150$ for a very small car, and I would not expect a decent job at that price... Average price would be closer to 200$

    After using this product and the accompanying spray detailer last year, it really has better durability for cars parked outside than newer stuff I've messed with like 303 Graphene and even Seal & Shine version 2. Something about being outside can't be duplicated by the back to back chem resistance tests inside. My main tip would be not to use this with moderately hard water. Ours is pretty bad here (230ppm) and refreshing panels seems to combine it with the minerals and lock them in, leading to slight but noticeable dark spots even if you race to get the car dry. Remedied that with a resin based system for next year, but just something to keep in mind.

    I started using the Ceramic Hybird wax. When it came out last year on my 2005 Taurus SE. This car is 15 years old sits out side. I cleaned the car with Turtle Wax Extreme Clean Car. Wash first! Then while the car is wet. I applied Meguiars Ceramic Hybird wax with a sponge going back and forth side to side over the whole car. Even on the windows. Then blast the car with water to activate the Ceramic wax. Then take a water absorbing towel and dry the whole car. The car looks amazing. The shine seemed to last and last. I still reapplied the wax every month all summer long. One neighbor thought I repainted the car. That's how great this product is. One thing to remember is don't let the Ceramic wax dry on the paint. Or it will leave residue and will be hard to get off. Follow how I washed and waxed my car and you wont have any problem's. Shawn

If you do it properly your car will look like it just got washed after every time it rains for a good 3 months and it gives your paint a decent level of protection.

The car was previous polished using Meguiars Ultimate Compound and Polish with a wax sealant about 10months ago. Car lives out of the sun and only goes out a couple of times a month, on dry days. Zach Heath honestly if you have the funds I would suggest to just buy the gallon because you will love the stuff. I know there are other products that you can use on every single exterior surface and that is my favorite part. Paint, glass, plastic trim, and everything else. I live in Michigan and it’s been cold lately so I’ve been using Frothe and it’s a great combo. Frothe with boost and then I used the bead maker afterwards. I thought it would be lies about the shine becoming better after a curing time...but it does! Unless something better comes out, it’s probably the only one I’ll be using.

      Yeah Beadmaker is a "game changer" and as long as people use it to the products strengths and don't expect long durability out of it you'll not be disappointed using it because its slick going on, slick buffing it, adds gloss right away and ofcoarse, CRAZY gloss after its cured!

Just like you said in your "About Me" video, you do one car and all the neighbors get in line. I was able to get a couple of Celebrities as clients. The late Alan Thicke (Canadian like you) was one. He drove a Porsche.

    Hi Pan, I am one of your more recent subscribers and a detailing enthousiast. This product reminds me a lot of Gyeon Wet Coat. Seems to be the same technology! In this video a link showed up to the Meguiars Fast Finish. I purchased this product recently. I have tested this product twice so far. The first time was a real fail. I had polished my car completely and performed a last finishing polish with CarPro Essence (containing ceramic particles). I IPA’d the surface and applied the Fast Finish, but had very poor beading and sheeting results. Probably due to the Carpro Essence, although I had been told that it wouldn’t affect the sealant. I tested it a second time a few weeks ago on another car with satisfying results!

      For UFF, I wouldn't apply it on top of a ceramic product. As this is a pure paint sealant, those typically don't play well with anything containing SiO2 particles. It is a very good product.

    I've been using this for the last few months. I will say that it works great and water beads extremely well. It also leaves the car looking great with a nice sheen. There are some issues though...it streaks very badly is very hard to rub into the paint. It's also not very slick. Water will bead but it just sits there on the paint creating water spots when it dries.

      I have used this twice and have noticed the exact same thing. To avoid streaking, I usually spray and wipe small areas. If you leave it on for more than a couple of minutes, it streaks bad. Also, a damp cloth helps avoid streaking as well as using controlled amounts.

The compliments I get absolutely surprises me every time, people wondering if my 10 year old plus racing machines are brand new because of the way they shine! I own a white 2009 Dodge Avenger SXT which I keep maintained and detailed regularly so its paint is in pretty good shape and the car is in very good shape for its age.
    Followed your instructions which included using a clay bar on the paint and the final cleaning with alcohol. The results were amazing, to say the least. The paint is like new and slick to the touch. Something you didn't mention was its effect on plastic parts and trim. The grill, mirrors, rear window wedges, antenna, and trim are all black plastic. With the new wax, they shine like new and have a nice glossy finish...even better than my normal results using Maguire's plastic detailer.
    So thank you :^)

      Thanks! By the way, after the video was released, we continued to do off lavel testing and many channels found that the best way to apply the first foundation layer is actually on dry paint.
      So wash and do all the prep work, and once the vehicle is dry, then apply the first layer.

    Thank you for the great video!
    I use it all the time, as mentioned in the INITIAL APPLICATION: 1. Wash my car with a soap. 2. Rinse it. 3. Spray Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax on one panel at a time. 4. Dry this panel with microfiber drying towel. 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4.
    The car looks amazing. I am going to continue using it this way.

    Hi Pan, great review! I just picked up a bottle and found your review which was very through so thank you for that.
    I do have a controversial question though, articles online say a ceramic coating is permanent and you cannot perform paint correction after the coating is applied. Is this true? And would this not pertain to Meguiars because it's a Ceramic Wax and not a Ceramic coating?
    Thanks for the information and have a great day!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks! The Meguiar's HCW does have a bit of ceramic content (SiO2) but nothing close to true full blown ceramic coatings. For ceramic coatings, it's true that you can't use compounds and polishes because you would damage the coating. Hence why it's important to get the paintwork as perfect as possible before "sealing" it in for two years or more.
      The HCW is a hybrid spray wax with a bit of SiO2. If you want to perform paint correction, no problem. You'll just have to reapply HCW after you're done.

    Thanks for this excellent video Pan. Looks like a Great product! At what frequency and when would you apply the Bead Maker when using he Hybrid Ceramic Wax and when and where the Mcguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish could fit in there ?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Před 5 lety +4

      Thanks Julie! You would use one or the other, not both. There's a point where one can put too much protection on the paint and the products start rejecting each other.
      If I had to decide with the products you listed, I would apply a base layer of Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish for durability, and then top it off with Bead Maker every month.

    Excellent video! The most helpful one out of all the Meguiar's HCW videos because my car is in a very similar state of the test vehicle you have. I also have a black SUV (2017), and never really paid any attention to caring for the paint. I'm really excited to follow your steps to prep my car for this product. A question during the prep work... do I have to polish the car after the clay bar? I read everywhere I need to polish after the clay bar... I don't have any tools as shown in so many polishing tutorials video. Will the Mequiar's HCW reduce any scratches or swirls without the polish? Thank you so much! And I found your video when I searched for information on this product.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Před 2 lety

      Hi. A clay bar is considered a mild abrasive, so typically, after a clay stage, yes we go ahead and polish the paint. That will remove any light marring left by the clay bar, but also remove oxidation, scratches and swirls, and perfect the paint and give it true gloss and depth.
      That being said, not everyone has the tools or knowledge to do paint polishing. So you could decide to skip the paint polishing stage and apply the Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax after you're done claying. If you wash your car correctly, and then use a proper clay lubricant and are careful while claying, you shouldn't be inflicting too much marring anyways. Once you're done claying, thoroughly rinse and dry the vehicle. Once done, inspect the paint. If you're happy with the way the paint looks, you can skip machine polishing and go straight to applying the HCW.
      If you're looking into this Meguiar's product, I would highly recommend that you watch a more recent video that I made, with one of their newer products that will last even longer, here: czcams.com/video/nEdDqnOviOA/video.html
