- Complete guide on how to factory reset and pair the remote to your Ikea FYRTUR smart blinds. The trick is you have to pair the remote to the USB receiver/wall adapter first and then pair the blinds.

Perfect! Why Ikea hasn't made a video or at least tried to explain a few of these things on their homepage is beyond my understanding. Thank you for saving me the time to figure this out myself.

This was fantastic! I had changed the battery in the remote and charged the battery for the motor thinking it was one of those. This fixed them. ALSO - thank you for including the information about the bottom limit, that is going to make me enjoy these so much more!

Big thumbs up. I was struggling with one of my FYRTUR for a long time. Basically, I added them to the app and then IKEA Bridge is not working anymore. This video helped to factory reset the blind and work as expected. Thanks again for sharing.

i have been so annoyed the past month and a half trying to figure out how to pair them back up after changing the battery on the remote. Didn’t even need to reset. The IKEA instructions said to hold the up and down buttons for 2 seconds which didn’t work, and didn’t know it had to pair with the repeater. Thank you

Omg. I don't have the blinds but I use the outlet to connect to a light switch and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working! This was so helpful for remembering how to pair the remote and the switch.

Having gone through all of the instructions on the IKEA website to pair and reset, there was no mention of pairing with the other unit. I was convinced the unit was broken, but your video resolved the problem. Why on earth are IKEA incapable of proper documentation and support of their own products. Idiots.

RESET IKEA FYRTUR REMOTE CONTROL
1. (The wall adapter may need to be unplugged/plugged in first (then wait for two minutes for the wall adapter to boot). This step is sometimes not necessary.)
2. Open the back of the remote control with a screwdriver, press the button four times, the red LED should start blinking.
3. Place the remote control near the wall adapter and hold the button for at least 10 seconds, the white LED on the wall adapter will pulse slightly, and the red LED on the remote control will blink quickly a few times, then release the button. Now the remote control is "paired" with the wall adapter.
4. Press both up/down buttons on the roller blind simultaneously, the white LED on the roller blind will start glowing after a few seconds.
5. Place the remote control near the roller blind and hold the button for at least 10 seconds, the roller blind will move down/up a little. Now the remote control is "paired" with the roller blind.
SET LIMIT FOR LOWEST HEIGHT
1. Roll down the curtain as much as possible.
2. Roll up the curtain to the lowest height you want for the roller blind, press the "down" button once to stop the roller blind at the position you want to set as the lowest height.
3. Press the "down" button twice, the roller blind will move down/up a little, and the lowest height is set.
And in Swedish:
RESET IKEA FYRTUR FJÄRRKONTROLL
1. (Väggadaptern kan först behövas pluggas ur/i (vänta sedan i två minuter för boot av väggadapter). Detta steg behövs ibland inte.)
2. Öppna baksidan på fjärrkontrollen med skruvmejsel, tryck knappen fyra gånger, röd LED börjar blinka.
3. Placera fjärrkontrollen nära väggadaptern och håll inne knappen minst 10 sekunder, vit LED på väggadaptern kommer pulsera lite, och röda LED i fjärrkontrollen kommer blinka till snabbt några gånger, då släpper du knappen. Nu är fjärrkontrollen "parad" med väggadaptern.
4. Tryck in båda upp/ner-knapparna på rullgardinen samtidigt, vit LED på rullgardinen kommer börja lysa efter någon sekund.
5. Placera fjärrkontrollen nära rullgardinen och håll inne knappen minst 10 sekunder, rullgardinen kommer åka ner/upp en liten bit. Nu är fjärrkontrollen "parad" med rullgardinen.
SÄTT GRÄNS FÖR LÄGSTA HÖJD
1. Rulla ner gardinen så mycket det går.
2. Rulla upp gardinen till den lägsta höjd du vill ha på rullgardinen, tryck "ner"-knappen en gång så rullgardinen stoppar i positionen du vill sätta som den lägsta höjden.
3. Tryck två gånger på "ner"-knappen, rullgardinen kommer åka ner/upp en liten bit, och lägsta höjden är satt.
