Totally biased, he also didn't account for the fact that the jabras have an app with a complete and full eq that really works and makes them sound way better
@@kyprianou2009 but the jabra's cost below 150$ for such a long time, you're a fool for paying 200$ for the elite 65t lol, the elite sports cost like 200$...
This is the first review I've seen from Rtings, and I'll be looking specifically for you video reviews on products! A truly objective review covering everything i could think of. Thanks!
Just purchased the Jabra's, gotta disagree about the case. With mine, you need to push the lid in a bit before it will open. It won't open easily without pushing it in first.
Thanks for your review buddy. Its help me to decide which one to pick. Jbl free X just came to my doorstep this morning. No regrets. Punchy bass is what I like from this brand.
I mean the problem with Jabra cases has been fixed the case is now sturdy and actually requires some pressure to open Even if you drop it from 1m height it won’t open ( personal experience) lol
Your guys reviews are incredible. So much detail and information. I just looked on your website at the Black Friday deal reviews and it made my decision much easier! Thanks and keep up the good work.
Thank you for the detailed review. Just to add, I am using Jabra Elite 65t, from past 4 months. After watching your review i have checked if mine opens if i drop it, have tried from 6 inch height, it works fine :) no issues.
Great review. Bluetooth connectivity is absolutely crucial with wireless earbuds. The Jabra with Bluetooth 5.0 has the best connectivity, by far, compared to any other wireless earbuds I’ve used so far. Def need the Rtings test bench to include a phone with Bluetooth 5.0 soon, because it definitely does make a big difference in terms of wireless connectivity when both the source and the audio listening product supports it. I have a Galaxy S8+ which has Bluetooth 5.0, and the Jabra had a rock solid connection with no dropouts, even if I covered my phone while in my pocket, which can tend to induce audio dropouts. The Samsung IconX 2018 edition, while they have very good wireless connectivity, still aren’t as good as the Jabra, which have a stronger connection. You can still get occasional, rare dropouts in connection with the IconX. If you want to use wireless earbuds a good distance away from the Bluetooth source, the Jabras are definitely the ones to get.
flybriur .......I’m considering the Jabra also. I’m concerned about call quality, picking up background noise and the ability to mute directly from the ear bud. What has been your experience?
amazing review. truly. i am very impressed with all the testing. Most reviews leave way too much up to the subjectivity of the reviewer not only because they lack rigorous testing but also because they dont supply the viewer with information directly. they just tell you their interpretation of their experience
The Jabra 65t are the better buds. I used both and the connectivity issue with the JBL is a deal breaker. It's really annoying to get disconnected. The weak case design is fixable with a rubber band. I would never trust any of these cases without a simple rubber band because the buds all cost close to 200 bucks. Your review is impressive if I was a test dummy. The bass on the 65T as with all buds is dependent on the tips you choose. Pick too small and it gets high pitched. 15 hours is enough play time especially if you consider I can get 5 hours before my next charge over 3.5, those extra 4 hours are worthless if I have to keep charging to get there and 15 hours being plugged in is a bit much.
In my case i chose the JBL because of COMFORT, the jabra 65 actually hurt my ears with in the first hour use. . . As far as sound the Jabra has the upper hand but in my case not worth the pain.
Great review. Thank you for all of the tests you ran in the comparison. I just bought both of these to compare so I'm glad I came across this video. So far the JBL Free earbuds sound just a tad bit better for music but the connectivity issue of the left earbud is driving me crazy. I'll give it a few more days on both before I decide.
Great review thank you very much. I was looking to buy in-ear headphones for a while and they have exactly these two on sale for the black Friday, your video really helped me to clear my confusions. Professional and clear, I love the sound comparison part. Keep on the good work!
literally just paid online for the Jabra 65T. have tested the Jabra, The JBL and IconX. BEST FIT for my ears are the JABRAs Music Sound is ON-PAR with Samsung but the JBL is definitely the JBL. Best sound when Calling Jabra - Samsung - JBL JBL sucked at connectivity because the left randomly drops during the entire 5 minutes test. Crazy Stupid. Even the salesperson tried to justify it by saying it was due to low battery and even suggested I just use the right one LOL Waiting for my JABRAs to arrive
I have the JBL free headphones and I have to say it´s been 1 year since I bought them and I have a few comments: There is a very noticeable connectivity issue. - Eventually, the left earbud will stop reproducing music. Sometimes it just stops and never reconnects, you have to do it manually. - Sound quality is good but not the best. - In my case, the charging base no longer retains charge (after 8 months of usage). That means that I have to charge them 2 hours before using them in order to wear them.
Sound Quality is so good. It only has One Mic located on the Right Earbud. Charging case is enormous and kinda heavy from the battery. I love how the hinge goes when closing and opening of the cover. The only downside that I find super duper annoying is that it always fall out. I'm assuming that this Earbuds from JBL are made for people with Massive ears.
Great review! One thing wasn't mentioned in your review is Jabra android support. I purchased the Jabra Elite 65t and I couldn't get its android app working with my pixel phone. As a result, I'm not able to use any customize features as well as upgrade the firmware for the earbuds.
I'm happy with my jbl free x since it only cost around $57 when I got it. Though it surely has the latency issue, but considering the sound it produces and also the price, it'll be fine for me :)
Thats true the JBL free sounds very good. Ive test it live. BT connection is not the best but good for 5-10 M. So the sound is really good. Is the Bose sports free or the Sennheiser Momentum, Anker Liberty or the Jlab Executive even a bit better than these Jbl free ?
Jabra Free! But seriously, I own the JBL free X which is the updated version and mind you they're better than the Jabra in a lot of ways than one when I compared it with my friends' Jabras. Apparently they agree and regret their Jabra purchase. Then again it boils down to preferences and both brands did a good job on their own demograph they're targeting.
The consumer is the company ginny pig , our complaints are the next improvements waiting to happen. An another option are the good old cable headphones.

As usual i wish the volume would turn up a little higher... as i think most of can agree the volume can be an issue lol oh and i have the JBL Free i just bought them brand new in the box for 40 bucks!!
Nice video! I just got my new JBL Free X. but I have question and hoping you can share some thoughts. I made a call while using the Free X, and I notice that its only the right earbud is working, but when I dropped the call and play music both left and right earbuds are perfectly working. Is the right earbuds only meant to work during calls? Thank you! :)
Bought these a couple of days ago. I actually like the charging case a lot, it's very small and doesnt open so easy like in this video, unless you want to. Overall they are 9/10 but i would've liked more pronounced base, and you need to stick with them a couple of days untill you get used to them. overall they are pretty good. certainly better than airpods, and i say that while using them with my ipad pro.
Cool 3........are you using them primarily for music or the Bluetooth headset/phone connection? I’m concerned about call quality, background noise and ability to mute without having to pull out the phone.
So i dont understand if the jabra 65t have a noise cancelation?? Here he you says that it does not have but on other places i read that it have 4 microphones to help the noise cancelation...
Hi, can you tell me if the bass of JBL free is more expressive than other lines like JBL 110bt? The handset on the right side of JBL free is too long to turn off the light too, even after fully charged. Is this normal? If you can help me with this, thank you.
With Siri, you can say, "Set the volume to 50%." or whatever sound level, and Siri will adjust it so you don't need to take the phone out of your pocket.
For me you need either touch controls or no controls on the headphones because pressing them in your ear because you have to press a button is so uncomfortable to me.
I bought jbl free wireless earbuds last month. Now i got a issue. Two earbuds are connecting separately. I cant pair each another. Pls give suggestion to remove this issue.
Great review! We are impressed by all the tests you put the product through :)

Great suite of tests! It would be great if you could add a test for the call/mic quality. That would round out all the features.
Best review aspects I have ever seen! Wanted to see the JBL Tune 120tws vs Jabra Elite 65t.
I liked the way this review was handled although I feel it's important enough to know how the microphones were for in call quality.

I don’t think we should buy truly wireless earphones right now.
Let’s wait until next year to see if they improve.
No.
i think you can go ahead with Jabra Elite 65t. superb bluetooth connectivity. Decent sound quality. Using it for 4 month and happy.

If we don’t buy them as consumers they’ll never know what is wrong; which will just stop production due to the assumption of lost interest.
