- The young Eddard Stark recounts the history of House Dayne, the former kings and lords of Starfall, and how they have been linked to their legendary sword Dawn, especially his last and greatest bearer, Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning.

it's young ned everyone.
I KNOW
He really does great as a young ned. His voice kinda resembles Sean Bean's.
The Sword of the Morning is one of the humblest but most badass titles any man could have
"When I was young..I wanted to be him" what a powerful statement...Ned Stark.. loyalties of the North
The fact that Ned returned Dawn to Starfall speaks volumes about him as a man ❤️
He was originally in love with Ashara Dayne, Arthur Dayne was her older brother.
Lol the same man who killed arthur while he was stabed from behind... Jaime lanister have more honor than so called ned stark would ever have
@@Mallu_Manchester
To be fair, Dayne would have died anyway and was not in the condition to fight. Stabs in in the neck rarely end well. If anyone is to "blame", it is Howland Reed, who stabbed Dayne in the first place.
@@josynaemikohler6572 jaime could have did the same with ned.. He left him cause he can't fight now that's real honour.. 🔥
@@josynaemikohler6572and Dane had severely wounded him before, so it was a fair call back
The one dislike is from the Smiling Knight
Tm Q He stays salty even in death
This is why there needs to be a prequel show. We need more Arthur Dayne.
MTingy not happening according to GRRM.He said everything that matters about the rebellion would come up before the end of the show.
TBH we've probably seen most of it already through Bran, aside from the battles which we know how they all end and some special events like the Tourney of Harenhall, Lyanna's abduction and maybe Robert and Rhaegar's fight.
Whatever's left wouldn't make much material for a whole show and leave no suspense at all.
+Tarek H I wouldn't agree that there would be no suspense. There was plenty of suspense in Lord of the Rings, and I'd read the books before seeing the film, so knew what would happen. I could say the same about The Martian and many other films. If the acting, the script, and the effects are good enough, knowing what is going to happen doesn't reduce the suspense.
How many people had read the GoT booka before watching the show? I watched the first season them read the books while I waited for the second season to be made. I still had plenty of suspenseful moments, because it's an incredibly well made show.
And besides, we only know the major events of most of the suggested prequels, it would be easy enough to fill in the gaps with some suspenseful as hell stuff.
That's why I'd love prequels on a few topics. Aegon's Conquest, Robert's Rebellion, The Dance of the Dragons, the Blackfyre Rebellion, and more. There's a wealth of material that could extend the life of this franchise for years. And because of the large time jumps between each story you don't have to worry about the actors getting too old for their role or getting fired for being a sex creep or whatever.
It's coming....
@@Anand-mv6tv I guess you were right
he's good swordsman but dumb to think he needs to protect lyanna against her OWN brother
They didn't include the part when Jamie a squire of only 16yo engaged the smiling knight until Ser Arthur Dayne arrived. It's after that he was knighted by Ser Arthur himself and as told by Ser Jamie himself if he could remember ever being really happy, that was it.
He was 15 in the books.
Goosebumps when he mentioned Ser Arthur Dayne.
Robb Stark Timed it with the bass drop
"I have no words.
My voice is in my sword."
― William Shakespeare, Macbeth
pure badass, i almost hope jon snow in the sequel series will say it. it go by some a hole asking jon, " they call you lord snow, tell me lord snow what are house snow's words?"jon repies with unsealthing long claw and says this is my house words. it works as it fits the northern preference for simplisty over being fancy.
Sounds like a house full of badasses. Too bad we didn't see much of it in the show.
It does but it also has Gerold Dayne aka DARKSTAR who is such an anime character 😂
Him and Aemond Targaryen are so unintentionally funny bc in a world full of complex realistic chracters they just feel so WEIRD.
Theyre just so much all the time 😂
Wtf! I thought I would hear Sean bean's voice
Abidit Debata i believe this is the acteur's voice that we say when ned fought ser arthur dayne
Toostig maybe!!
It is. Makes more sense cus that was when he faced Arthur Dayne
It's either shawn bawn or seen been. He can't have it both ways!
You can't mock Stark!
i was expecting sean bean, dis coo tho
3:03 ....Dawn is just a sword, Ser Arthur was the true steel....
Man, Ser Arthur was more valor than King Joffrey's whole Kingsguards
NOH, NOWY TENDS
It's voiced by Robert Aramayo. Nice video; I quite enjoy these lore videos
I want to know more about Sir Arthur Dayne. Sounds like a badass!
Dorne is the most interesting kingdom in the books. It has the most vigorous and fascinating characters, the land and it's people are very different than the rest of Westeros. Even their words are the best Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken
And then this show basically raped all that story
@@subutaynoyan5372I love Dorn and Arthur Dayne, but the most interesting, mysterious and terrifying character to me is Euron Greyjoy. The show butchered the character ofcourse.
@@feonor26well to be fair it’s not like he was really fleshed out in the books yet either
Well Euron himself is an exceptional character. Wheras the rest are all tied to Dorne @@feonor26
Oh look it's Nowy Tends.
I wish you good fortune in the wars to come. Long live Arthur Dayne.
I wish they spoke more about Ashara dayne the woman Ned had a crush on and after her brother Ser Arthur died she flung herself out of Starfalls tower
Ned truly respected Ser Arthur Dayne and Ser Arthur earned such honor if either was my commander I’d be honored to follow them into battle
Dawn looks like a damascus and a claymore all rolled into one.
Questions are: Would we ever see it in the tv series? And if yes, who would be worthy enough to wield it?
M_Y_ Ball_s Ser Arthur Dayne was dual-wielding Dawn and another sword in the fight of the Tower of Joy. They should have make it more white in the shows...
I've never clicked so fast, finally a vid on my favourite asoiaf house :)
Most badass quote I heard "The Mad Fool, Dawn is just a sword, Ser Arthur was the true steel"
This weapon is just wood and steel. It is a hard heart that kills.
Yeah Ned, don't mention your true love, Ashara at all
Damn! A knight so honorable that even Ned idolized him 😮😮 Hopefully we get to see the full greatness of house Dayne on screen someday
I only clicked on this video for Sean Bean.
Yeah, that was a bit disappointing.
Tomáš Chovanec it sounds like the actor who plays a young eddard
Last time I was this early Robb Stark was still alive...
It’s nice to hear Ned Stark’s voice again.
Roy Thingamajig This is the young version of Ned, not Sean Bean
I was gonna say lol
tbh I think the GoT world would do well with a bunch of one-off episodes showing pivotal stories from throughout history, both in Westeros and Essos.
Like Marvel's "What-If", but with actual events from the story
The ending with the music was just amazing.
Great video, thanks! And for all wondering, it’s young Ned starks voice.
I thought Ned would at least mention Ashara. Not even Gerald was mentioned.
When you have a reputation of being a master of your craft as in those days being a masterful swordman , everyone covets the instrument of death " THE SWORD OF DAWN " , but the true steel is in the knight , battle hardened , anointed with the skills of best swords techniques of every kingdom in westroes , mastery and faith coursing through his veins , that is a knight , not just brute strength and bravery
The music fits so well
It really should have been Jaime who told this story imo.
I love Aramayo voice, he's great and talented to tell stories
Noh. Nawhet iends.
Lmao
Ser Arthur Dayne, The Sword of The Morning...... Wow, what a title...✌🇹🇹
Drone is just amazing
If anyone is looking the soundtrack is from the nights watch it's called my watch has ended
Awesome video! Just found this channel and subscribed. Where are these videos from? Is the art fan made?
No word of Ashara Dayne?
House dayne was lit 🔥
12 dislikes from the Smiling Knight, Kingswood Brotherhood, and Ned's companions who died by his blade.
Why hasnt Sean Bean narrated any of these shorts? He has a great voice! Plus, he was the main character in season 1.
arthur ddayne was the MJ of knights in westeros
Nobody deserve Dawn but Arthur Dayne, until Darkstar?
King Vorian Dayne was known as the "Sword of the Evening"...a badass title, if I say so myself.
I really want to know how does a knight from house Dayne become worthy of Dawn? What is the criteria to be worthy? Hope George RR Martin answers those questions
Ashara Dayne: ay Ned thanks for returning the cool sword of my brother who you killed. Remember the Turney of Harrenhall yeah that shit slayed.
*jumps off a tower*
Barbie Girl Dustin: Ay Ned...wtf is THAT? dude you brought back the mf HORSE but not my husbands BONES
Ned who was fighting a war, wants to go tf home, lost his brother, father and sister and is currently actively committing treason: sorry? It worked with the Daynes ...
What's the music in the background
This is the voice of young Ned Stark cast by a different actor.
Who deems a person worthy to wield the sword?
What is steel compared to the hand that wields it? IYKYK.
Young ned?
how did he do all the vocies ?? Was AI already a thing back then?
No Sean Bean and no Kit Harrington in any of these videos...why?
Dont get why everyone wants a prequel abt the Rebellion.
Like sure there was some cool stuff going on and Rhaegar IS apparently the hottest dude alive so thatd be nice, but ultimately we know, in broad strokes, what went down, so really whats the point?
We know where each character ends up already and how, we know how everything will happen.
Sure ppl who read the ASOIAF books we already knew stuff too and it was still nice to see, so maybe this will be too?
But idk I am much more interested in maybe an animated show about the Valyrian freehold (I say animated bc aint no way there is enough budget on earth to portray like ALL the dragons, magic and impressive architecture as well as the entire DOOM)
Idk I wanna see sth far in the past or sth. Like House of the Dragon for example its far enough back to feel different but still within the world and adapting sth new.
I feel like I just dont really care abt Roberts rebellion that much given how nothing really mattered? ESPECIALLY the Jon Snow parentage which to me was like the main mystery of this era
You can't mock Stark! 😮🤓😎✌🏻
Did ned use ice to fight against Arthur?
If only I could see Arthur again in GoT
Robert Rebelión?
there is a theory that Mance is Ser Arthur
Is it from the books???
What if brom became Lord of Dorn
1:29
Dawn is Lightbringer lying dormant
As strong and sharp as Valyrian steel, negative. Dawn is better than Hattori Hanzos' katanas and almost comparable to Shaku Arai's swords.
Quattro
GET SEAN BEAN
So you mentioned a Chad king who took the fight to the Dragonlords themselves, and why is Arthur Dayne the greatest among them? For serving a Mad King and dying to a random Crannogman with a weirwood Ar15?
No, for being better as a knight.
Where B E A N.
Lousy little Crannogman! 😮
Darkstar: 😡🤬
Tres...
Sounds like Richard Madden (Robb Stark)
This is not the voice of Ned stark
I'm curious why Arthur Dayne is considered the greatest of them all. Is it recency bias? Because, let's be real, his list of accomplishments is not that extensive. He stopped the Kingswood Brotherhood, sure, but other than that...what did he do? Or is it that Ned thinks he's the greatest since he's the one Ned fought?
Every person who saw him fight agreed that he was the best. Jaime said once to Kettlebacks that Arthur Dayne could take a piss with his left hand as he was slaughtering them with his right
The show kinda made Selmy the most glorious of them, because Selmy was still alive but Arthur Dayne was reckoned peerless.
@@subutaynoyan5372According to GRRM, Arthur was better than Barristan only with Dawn. Otherwise, they're evenly matched.
And I'm not denying that he isn't a fantastic swordsman; I'm just wondering how much of that is recency bias. Arthur was the most recent Sword of the Morning, and we don't know if there was another in living memory. Do people think he's the best because he is or because they haven't seen another in decades? Because according to what we know about him, Arthur's resume isn't all that impressive. Sure, he was a good swordsman, but he didn't really do much to earn acclaim.
THE JOKER
Two bits...
the animation doesn't seem to fit for this
Boooooo you do not simply replace Ned Stark!
It's the actor who played young Ned stark
This isnt Ned....
That Car Guy that's the actor who played young ned stark
This doesnt sound like him at all... hence my comment.
Go check the tower of joy scene
Once again. "This doesnt sound like him at all... hence my comment."
Ye but you wrote that it isn't Ned, not Sean Bean. And it was Ned... Just the other actor that portrayed him. hence Lone Wolfs comment.
Ned Stark = hypocrite AF. Honorable? Nope. More like self serving. Brienne is Arthur Dayne's ancestor, I am disappointed how her story arc ended. :/ I am unable to swallow it.
i cant believe it took me so long to realise the parallels between king Arthur and sir Arthur dayne . that the best knight in all seven kingdoms is called Arthur and wields a sword out of a rock
Nunca es tarde.Arthur Dayne era el símbolo de la caballería al igual q Arthur Pendragon es el rey de los caballeros. Son juegos de Martin.
Explains why Jaime had his crosshairs on Ned at the start. Everyone thinks Ned Killed Arthur Dayne.
That's young Ned
