It leads me to buy both the Detox and Maintenance Shampoo plus the K18 Oil to complete my hair care routine with the K18 mask. This really was the ultimate review. You covered EVERYTHING! I use heavy pomades so the detox one is definitely my favorite plus the salicylic acid in it helps my scalp out. I was using (and loving) Color Wow shampoo before K18's and I have to say the K18 shampoos beat Color Wow's hands down. Excellent review as usual.💖

I completely agree with you! My hair definitely felt better after the K18 detox in comparison to Color Wow's shampoo which is interesting because it is a clarifying shampoo after all! I hope they come out with a conditioner so we have that option as well on the days we choose to not use the leave-in mask. That would make my life easier haha. Hope you are doing well 💕

Hi, I've used K18 five times and I love it. I wash my hair twice a week. I have thin, brittle, treated, fine hair. It wasn't always thin but as I've become older and after an accident, it's a lot thinner than it was which can happen after an accident. I use Olaplex no.3 then shampoo twice and apply K18 is this okay or am I stopping K18 working even better?
I'm a bit disappointed that I can only continue K18 for 6 washes then have to revert to the Olaplex system as K18 is so quick and easy to use and I love the results. I'm assuming if I only used K18 and nothing else, eventually it would be 'over-use' and detrimental to my hair.
Anyway listen up, it's a cracking product so if anybody reads this and wonders if its worth a go, the answer is a definite YES and for your information I'm 75 and determined to be a blonde bombshell 'til they cart me off in a box haha!

As per K18 recommendations, they state to use Olaplex N3 on the days you are not using K18. After the 6 consecutive washes with K18 then you can switch to "maintenance mode" and use the mask depending on the level of damage you put your hair through on a regular basis. In the case of extreme damage, you can use the K18 mask again after the 4-6 washes.
How are your hair results when you use Olaplex N3, shampoo twice and then apply K18?
@@EverythingHairBrand Actually, it works well. I've tried Olaplex no.3, the 2 Olaplex no.4 shampoos then K18 and I've tried 2 clarifying shampoos, K18 and then rinsed my hair and applied Olaplex no.5 conditioner and rinsed it out. That one is good as well. Basically I love K18 and don't want to use anything else but I must as they're the rules so back to Olaplex numbers 1, 3, 4, and 8 followed by 6. Exhausting stuff. But blonde locks need love and nourishment and Olaplex and K18 are the best product ranges out there. When I get the cash I'm going to try the rest of the K18 range.

Is it recommended to use a conditioner after the "maintenance" shampoo . . . and if so, which one would be best? Or, should I style afterwards without using a conditioner . . . similar to what is recommended when using the k18 hair treatment mask?
Hi Summer 👋 if you just want to use the shampoo without the leave-in mask then you can just follow your normal hair routine and use the conditioner of your choice. All you're doing is basically swapping out your current shampoo for K18's pH maintenance shampoo. Only on the days when or if you choose to use the leave-in mask is when you want to avoid using a conditioner BEFORE the mask as it will coat the hair and not allow the molecular repair leave-in mask to do it's job. You can always use a conditioner (if needed) after applying the mask as well. I talk about that towards the end of the video.
Can you use Olaplex No.3 before the K18 Peptide Prep shampoo and Molecular Repair Hair Mask?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. People do use them together and apply N3 as a pre-shampoo treatment. You can test it out and see how it works for you and if you see better results in comparison to using the products separately. I personally have not tested this out yet but I did receive feedback from someone who has and the results were nice but she did not see a noticeable difference between using them together vs separately.

scalp oribe pink or detox k18, which one has the better nutritional composition? K18 has a pH of 3.5-4.5, so what is oribe pink? Please someone answer me which is better, my hair needs weak pH and rich nutrients

Hi 👋 Oribe's serene scalp anti dandruff shampoo is good for flaky, itchy, dry scalp. It contains their signature complex which they claim defends the hair from environmental elements, oxidative stress, photoaging, and the deterioration of natural keratin. It also contains bilberry fruit and sugar maple extracts which help to soothe the scalp. The pH of the shampoo is 4.5-5 and the pH of the conditioner is 4-4.7. It's vegan and without sulfates. Both the K18 detox shampoo and serene scalp contain salicylic acid. K18 detox also contains activated charcoal which is good for oily scalp and their patented peptide for bond building. It's vegan and cruelty free. I personally have not tried the Oribe shampoo as I do not have dandruff but if you need a good clarifying shampoo K18's detox is good and also I love 4C from Olaplex. The choice is yours to make and you can always try both to see which one better suits you and your hair/scalp needs 💕

Should I avoid my scalp when applying the mask?
Hi Paulina, focus the mask on the most damaged parts of the hair. Section your hair and lather the mask in your hands by rubbing your hands together to spread the product for even application/distribution. Then rake the product into your hair section by section. Let it set for 4 minutes for it to fully penetrate down to the polypeptide chains of your hair and then you can layer a leave in conditioner or any hair product of your choice AND THEN brush through. Remember, as long as you apply K18 first and wait 4 minutes then you can resume using your regular hair products, leave in conditioners, deep conditioners, rewet your hair, etc. Once you’ve been using K18 continuously, and your hair gets back to its natural healthy state, the easier it will be to comb through without conditioner.
If we are able to do the pro peptide double dose treatment, how many treatments do we need to do in order to be ready for the maintenance mode ?
Hey 😊, if you like the results of the double dose treatment and you frequently visit the salon for chemical services then it is a good idea to keep your hair strength going at home with the use of the K18 leave-in mask. They state you can't overuse the mask so I would say continue using it as directed (first 4-6 shampoos) until you feel your hair is in a good place and then switch to every 2nd to 3rd wash. The mask will help to make your services last longer and will help to prep your hair and make it stronger for your upcoming service appt which is important.
Also, it all depends on the baseline of your hair and what condition it's in/what you do with it and how your hair reacts to the products. I would also recommend consulting with the stylist who will be doing the treatment for you so that you can work out a plan of care that's tailored to your specific hair needs :)

Hello all, i see a lots of video's about K18, i have very long thin damage'd hair, so i thought i buy a small bottel k18, because i am sceptic, and its very expensive, today for the first time i wash my hair with a healthy shampoo, yes i can wait 4 minutes, i wait, then i did moisturizing leave in my hair, normaly i let it dry to the air, but i thought ok i blow it dry, and I was shocked, omg it looks so dry, so dont believe this product that you can see it within 4 min, i make the bottle empty, and i will see after 4 more washes what happen. but i think all that beauty hair you see, it's all styled
Hi👋 thank you for letting me know about your concern. Next time you apply the mask- try applying it on damp hair and make sure your hair is not too wet when applying the mask. If the hair has too much water, it's going to dilute the mask and you may accidentally over apply the mask which will lead to this dry, crunchy feeling. You don't need to use a lot of the mask. You can refer to the guide in our video on how much product to use. You can start at the 8:08 mark. Also, it is a progressive treatment so I am hoping to hear from you that you do start to see some results :)

@@LoveMotherNature69yes you can add conditioner if you like. The way K18 recommends to do this is as follows- shampoo (towel dry)then use k18, wait four minutes and then go back in the shower and add conditioner. You don't have to shampoo twice.

As far as the mist, it is a professional product to be used in the salons and sold to professionals only. To get the double dose treatment done you can visit a salon where they use K18 and discuss the treatment with a stylist and how to incorporate it into your hair routine for the best results.
