Would you use the same ratio if toning with demi color? I rarely tone with permanent hair color

As someone who uses at least 6 products in their daily hair washing routine (oil, shampoo, treatment, conditioner, leave in, oil) it was hard for me to switch to only 3 products at K18. I have even written to K18 that they may please complete their product family by a conditioner.
Through this video I have had the incentive to try it with only 3 or 4 products.
And the result is better than with the whole bunch of other items, for example, from Kérastase.
The mode of action, the application and the scientific background of K18 is excellently explained. As a non-native speaker I had to watch the videos several times and took screenshots. Thank you very much for the effort!

Thank you so much! K18 delivers progressive results that rebuild hair strength each time you use it. They recommend to use the K18 mask for 4-6 washes so your hair results get better with continued use and then you can use the mask as needed.
How often can you use the chealating spray? I have hard water. Every 6 weeks as per hair cut?
So for when doing just a standalone treatment without any color services, you didn’t really specify how long to leave the mists in the hair prior to washing
I tried out the k18 as instructed but after the 5th use my hair turned into straws. Another youtuber said the it is ok to rinse out the k18 after 4 minutes and add conditioner and rinse it and she saw improvement in her hair, what do you think about that
Hey, first I'm sorry you're experiencing this as it can be frustrating- I've been there myself :) I want to make sure you are applying the right amount of the mask because if you over apply it can lead you to have that dry, crunchy feeling. Please make sure to apply it to damp hair, where your hair feels about 65% wet to the touch. Also, because it's highly concentrated you don't need to use a lot of the mask. Start by using 1 pump and spread it between your palms before application (as shown in video). You want to ensure you are applying it evenly throughout and getting good coverage so if you need more of the mask to cover hair that you may feel didn't get the product then continue to add on by using 1/2 a pump at a time.
If this is how you've been using the mask or you do this and still feel the need to condition your hair or add additional products of your choice, then yes K18 does indicate you can still use conditioner and you don't need to drop it from your routine. You can shampoo, towel dry, apply the mask, wait 4 minutes, then go back in the shower and add conditioner. K18 promises once their peptide is where it needs to be (after the 4 minute time is up and it penetrates the cuticle), the results will last no matter what the rest of your hair routine will look like. K18 mask I got in Sephora doesn’t turn white when I rub it and my hair look and feel worst than I started using it . Smells good tho, can it b just a fake product ? Or why is the mask not “foaming”? It’s still clear? I used it abt 20 times already
@@yogaqueen515You definitely need to contact either Sephora or K18 to report a faulty batch, unless you've mistakenly bought the oil, which I doubt.
You have to alternate with hydrating products to prevent that straw-like feeling.
@@yogaqueen515 so sorry this happened to you…products are only garuanteed only when sold at professional beauty salons or places like salon centric, Sally’s, etc. never purchase from Amazon, or 3rd parties such as Sephora.
Do I need to wash my hair with detox shampoo every time on the 6 washes?
Hi Sarah, prior to initiating treatment you can start with the detox shampoo to clear the path for maximum peptide penetration and optimal results. For the follow up washes you can use the pH maintenance shampoo on the days between the detox when your hair doesn't have a ton of buildup and needs a cleanse. It's a daily shampoo and you can use it as often as you'd like. When you need a more heavy duty cleanse then go for the detox again. For instance, when you see buildup such as flakes and stickiness, dryness, and brittleness.
Hi, I have to use a hair color nutrient mask. The correct way would be: clarifying shampoo, k18 and after 4 minutes applying my colour nutrient mask without rinsing the k18. Should I rinse everything at the end ? What do you suggest me? :) I am referring to the leave-in
Hi, yes you are correct. First shampoo your hair, then apply the leave in mask and after the 4 minute wait period is up you can then apply the product of your choice and then rinse it out. Let me know how it goes 💕
I have a query about the toning service. You said in a one to one ratio developer and K18 shampoo. In what ratio does the color get added? Example 20 mg developer, 20 mg shampoo and then 20 mg color cream or 40 mg color cream?
I think this is a great idea. Let me tell you what I tried yesterday. I color my roots with Goldwell Topchic dark brown and 4% developer 1 to 1. I often have leftover color mixture, but I hate to apply it straight to the lengths and ends. Following your instructions, I diluted this remaining mixture (there was 20ml left) with 10ml of K18 shampoo and mixed well. I applied this to the lengths for 5 minutes and then rinsed it all out. The results are stunning. The ends are soft and the color is even. Thanks for the tip!
Hi! The ratio will be 1:1:1 so as in your example you would add 20mg of permanent color cream. You can also use a clarifying shampoo. For bleached hair, the more permanent color you use the more saturated the color will be. For a more transparent, softer color you would use less of the color cream and monitor how quickly the hair is dyed (2-5 min). For a touch up, for previously dyed hair add shampoo 1:1 to the remaining color cream and apply it to the hair for the last 5 minutes.

Coconut oil is a chelator as well. Does this do something different?
Hi, if you're dealing with mineral buildup in your hair I would recommend using a chelating product formulated for that purpose rather than coconut oil so that you can effectively deep clean and remove the deposits from your hair. Chelating products contain specific chelating agents in their ingredient list like EDTA that bind to and remove minerals from exposure to hard water or chlorine for example.

Hi 👋 K18 products do not contain metal ingredients such as nickel. All K18 products and ingredients are monitored for quality and if trace heavy metal/metal impurities are present, these levels are far below the allowable global limits. This is the information I received from K18

Also they just came out with a hair repair starter set which has the small sizes of the detox shampoo to first prep the hair for treatment and then the leave-in mask and a small oil to finish. That way you can test out all three products
Why did you use 10 vol for toner instead of demi and why did you mix it with shampoo?
Hi we toned the hair by doing a color bath. This is done by using 10 vol developer (3%) + shampoo + permanent color
The shampoo is added so that the consistency of the formula is liquid enough and suds so that you can work fast and the results are even when the client is at the sink. The formula should foam well and wash off fast. Adding the shampoo also lessens the percent of developer.
It's not the developer we are concerned about in the mix, it's the permanent tube of hair color being used. By using permanent hair color even in that short amount of time you risk opening the cuticle even further and having the toner not last as long. Have you seen this being done with demi-permanent color?
