      I have heard that African people do not have a favourable opinion of foreign companies because these companies (especially Chinese companines) mostly come in to take Africa's natural resources and in some corrupt countries of Africa, they do that by bribing the politicians.
      So, do the people of Uganda view Tata in the same light?

  • @DG-en5pj
    @DG-en5pj Před 4 lety +906

    Ratan Tata was dishonored by Bill Ford!
    This goes way back to the year 1998, when Tata Motors launched their first car Tata Indica they wanted to enter the passenger car market with this one.
    But unfortunately it proved to be a flop. People advised Ratan Tata to sell their passenger car company and he agreed to do that, he proposed Ford to buy their passenger company and Ford also showed interest in their proposal. Ratan Tata along with his team went to Detroit where the headquarters of the Ford was situated. The meeting went well, Bill Ford the chairman of Ford said to Ratan Tata,”Why did you enter the passenger car business when you were not knowing of it. It will be a favor if we buy this business from you.”. Ratan Tata returned to India in a tense mood.
    After early struggle, Tata Motors became a big name in India by 2008. But it was not a good time for Ford as they were on the edge of being bankrupt, Ratan Tata gave them an offer of selling their luxury brands Jaguar and Land Rover. The deal was done and Ford sold their luxury car branding(s) to Ratan Tata for 2.3 billion $ or 9300 crore INR. The Bill Ford said,”You are doing a big favor for us by buying Jaguar-Land Rover.”.
    So, the deal of Jaguar-Land Rover was a sweet revenge by Ratan Tata to Bill Ford

Tata has injected their capital and allowed JLR significant privileges in the design and execution of their manufactured product, rather than cap efforts based purely on cost, unlike decisions promulgated in the old stuffy boardrooms of yore. Those brothers were smart enough to invest 2.3 Billion, and now its paying in dividends.

I know there have been differences but if twins can't get along it is real sad . I'm inspired when people base their priorities on what is instead of what was ! It is intelligent ,logical and worldly ! It's sad when we are taught to hate people who we will never even meet !
