- Draymond Green recently punched Jordan Poole, and there were a lot of reaction online to the incident. Notably, Steph Curry, Steve Kerr & Bob Myers all condemned NBA reporter Chris Haynes for making comments about Jordan Poole's attitude coming into training camp. It can happen "all of the time" and players say "I never punched anyone". Both statements can be true.
Everyone on the Warriors, except Dray, can say they never hit a teammate and say it happens or they saw it at least once.

We have players in the league rn who socked a teammate in the face like Portis. We have plenty more old timers who did it, imo getting into an altercation in game and punching a player on another team is practically no different from doing it amongst a team. Don't be fooled by that or get it twisted.
The context is that in the scrimmage, Phil Jackson called a foul on MJ guarding Kerr. Once or twice, I forget. Then Jordan said that wasn't a foul, and if you want to see me really foul him, I'll show you. And then he mugged and cheap-shotted Kerr with what would've been called a flagrant foul-- unnecessary and excessive. THEN Kerr went at him where it wouldn't actually hurt him (below the neck), and Jordan unloaded with a shot to his face.
Jackson threw him out of the practice, and alone in the locker room taking his shower, Jordan later said he felt sick and ashamed about how he reacted, clocking the smallest guy on the team in his eye. No word on if he regretted the other time punching Will Purdue in the face for setting two hard (possibly illegal) screens on him practice. But at least Purdue was bigger.
KERR NEVER PUNCH JORDAN IT WAS MAKE UP STORY SO PPL CAN SEE HIM AS THE GOAT AND COMPETITOR INSTEAD OF BULLY. DONT BELIEVE IN SELLOUT DOCUMENTARY AND MEDIA NARRATIVES.

this is just a really bad look for draymond. these are two professionals, and two grown men. grown professionals do not throw punches at their teammates during practice.
any normal person would be fired from their job or arrested for this sort of conduct AT WORK. acting like it’s “not a big deal” is absurd to me. just because they’re famous athletes doesn’t mean they should be exempt not only from punishment, but from the law itself.
draymond is a grown ass man and should be able to control his emotions, especially when it’s at a practice for his own team.
to add, if kobe or jordan had the career of a player like barkley they wouldn’t be seen as being “hard” or “trying to get the best out of their team.” they’d be viewed as two of the worst team cancers of all time.

I find it funny that people underestimate Green and overestimate Poole when it comes to winning games. Poole will have better numbers but get you fewer wins than if you let Poole go and keep Green if that is actually the scenario.

People are super confused on why the Warriors staff is focusing on who leaked the video, which I agree is super wack. Like if I’m JP seeing that…it’s a message.
However, objectively, if I was on another team that has had any sort of practice court or locker room scuffle, I would be paranoid anyone on the bottom of the totem pole (organization-wise) is gonna leak some drama for a payday.
Videos are also stored in the cloud. Even if video is encrypted someone who works for the cloud provider could have leaked the video. So the leak may not have come from in-house.
If you have ever played sports you understand things like this happen more often then not, only thing is videos aren’t leaked.
Played and coached sports all my life. From youth sports to college to national level. Only saw teammates throw punches once. And I was involved. Lol
