Him no punchin Poole and messing with his confidence, they may have went back to back. In the short view it may look like just 2016 but had KD re-signed or Poole built on his 2022 confidence, at least two more rings would be all but guaranteed.

I was the vet and team captain on my HS team and College team and man those young guys look up at you. They are scared and unprepared for the challenge of playing tournaments,season an competitive games. The pressure, the demanding of results and everyone on your back asking you to do stuff.
It's hard man. Those kids make mistakes because they are young, they are worried and full of pressure. As a mentor you need to be open and understand them. Some of them need tough love, others need you to step on their ground floor and understand their views, other prefer to be treat more kindly.
What Draymond did is embarrassing as a vet. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself for failing not only to Poole, but to the rest of the young guys who saw it happen on the team. I would've quit the team and step aside for months and would question myself as human,person and mentor.
