seeing how me posting the link to the very first versions of Cambridge, milla and I getting hyped up about it to full on reviving the game and bringing the original dev back in, and creating the server out of a spur of energy, is both cool and fucking funny

T. A. Death/Shirase was iterated into Tetris Effect as the Master Mode, it even has the ability to start at any MLevel (equivalent to the highest gravity, less piece time per level idea in TGA:TAP) and people are able to clear all 300 lines now! Looking forward to see what else is to come in both the Master Mode and these tournaments!

it's not an exact copy tho. it uses lines for leveling, unlike tgm which uses a unique leveling system. plus, the speedcurves are different, as well as the piece spawn height, lock delay reset amount, and the rotation system (ti-world does not equal guideline srs)

Holy crap this is hard I can't get more than 2 lines and I only did that once. I set the spread level to m30. Normally I can beat Tetris just fine even that one game with the invisible blocks (I wanna say Tetris DS)
@@bland9876 Tetris DS doesn't have invisible blocks as far as I'm aware.
Also, welcome to the 20G club! You might wanna start by actually surviving Marathon level 15 or 20 first, then you may try Master mode again.
@@NOT_A_ROBOT ya I turned it back to m1 and was able to at least get some lines.
I only started playing TGM properly when the Switch ports came out, and while I love TGM1, there's an immediate intensity to DEATH that makes it unbelievably enjoyable for me.
I can barely make it past level 150 / ~70 seconds right now, and making a Tetris or even a stack that isn't full of holes requires all my concentration, but having these pieces come crashing down like a landslide while trying to keep the chaos controlled is so cathartic!
The original Tetris was already what some call "the perfect game". But TGM adds this whole new strategic layer that fits the original concepts incredibly well, while adding an unseen dimension of depth - both strategically and mechanically.
Having to consider so many more elements (rotation rules, stack shape, speed, reaction speed) without making it feel like a gimmick is a masterpiece of game design.
Very few games come even close to giving me this satisfying buzz in my brain that playing DEATH does. It's Tetris pushed to it's absolute limits, and every little mechanical detail is shaped around making this speed playable. The longer I play it, the more I'm baffled that this game exists.

There are many Tetris games on Gameboy. Tetris 2 is always a good choice if you like Dr Mario. And Tetris plus has a nice puzzle mode. I would probably skip Tetris dx because of the wall climbing and other glitchs but it has some good music. Never played bombliss so idk about that but ya that's just the og Gameboy then we have games like Tetris worlds on GBA that introduced many modes along with a song called Tetris theme even though it is not song A from the pack in title on the og Gameboy and that song is instead called faster for some reason.
