We have the same problem over here in the states. No matter how useless or corrupt a politician is we still seem to re-elect them. The United States and Great Britain are two of the greatest democracies in the world and we both are heading toward being countries of haves and have nots.

Glad to see this happening! It reminds me of the U.S. TV shows "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" and "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" - a bit of misery-loves-company across the pond; the UK government is often corrupt and callous too!

I don't know if it's really old people. It's people who can't be bothered to think for themselves, think people they don't like being upset is funny and want to benefit from corruption too. I know people who vote Tory because they genuinely believe people like Boris is the sort of image that made Britain great. They think the corruption is a labour invention and that the biggest problem is nobody giving 'Boris' a chance.. You can tell them as much as you want and they'll say stuff like "You've been on biased internet sites" and dismiss any evidence as propaganda. Last week I was hearing "We had parties too" and now they're punching the air because the Tories are shipping slaves to Africa. Someone told me "It's reparations" as a joke last night..
