How To Make Falafel
2 cups dry chickpeas, soaked with cold water for 24 hours
1 brown onion, finely chopped
1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 tbsp salt
1/2 tbsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp ground chilli
4 crushed garlic cloves
2 tbsp chickpea flour (plain flour can also be used)
oil for frying

I tried one of these tasty bits of goodness, a few years ago, in a downtown Chicago Falafel restaurant. Such deliciousness that my neglected tastebuds had been deprived! Savory flavors danced in my mouth and serenaded my tonsils! I cheer with glee, everytime I eat one now! Great tutorial!💋

In LA, my adored falafel is becoming quite expensive at even dive take-away joints & family restaraunts. For less f-balls too. Often it's priced only pennies cheaper than dishes w/some kind of meat. Plant based diets are supposed to be more economical. Hah!? Cali vendors seem to charge much more to ppl they decide are trendy (who wish to lead a more green lifestyle). Home-made is the way to go. Superb Recipe and description. First time I made them and they came out very well. The only trouble I had was to keep the temperature around 170° since I don't have a deep frier and used a pot instead.

These were fantastic. I had fresh coriander in so used a bunch of that instead of dry and I forgot the cumin so had to sprinkle some on at the end. But the flavour and texture were amazing.
The rest of the mixture is in the fridge so will be sure to add the cumin in before cooking off the rest tomorrow. Cheers bro
