Islamophobia and the Future of British Muslims w/ Dr. Shabbir Akhtar

Amongst the many challenges facing young Muslims in the west and particularly in Britain, the crisis of belonging is very prominent. With the emergence of islamophobia and the far right, to questions surrounding our long term place here in the UK and more broadly in the west. We spoke to Dr. Shabbir Akhtar, a leading academic who was at the forefront of the Salman Rushdie affair, to try and start some conversations around where young Muslims fit in today's world, what they can contribute, and what lessons do we need to make sure we learn from our recent history.
