I found this after watching “bad Muslims get depression”. I verily related to the pouts addressed in the video ; what the brothers where going through, and how my faith is actually causing my mental health to deteriorate .I kinda wished Khaled mentioned which scholars (which were accused of being misguided but weren’t) helped him, and whom answered his questions. Also, in this video - I wish he presented his evidences to why he believes the music he’s making is halal. I’d appreciate it if someone from his team replies with the scholars and evidences stated above. Nice video 👌🏻👌🏻

Although a minority of scholars have said instruments are makrooh, no scholar in their right mind would say that the current music industry we have now in the west with such profanity and vulgarity (as well as extreme violence in some genres) is halaal.
Submission to God is about sacrifices at the end of the day and music is one thing I eventually sacrificed. It's one of the best decisions I made.
      Peace.

Yusuf al Qaradawi and others do a quick google search you'll find them. However all scholars are unanimously agree that mainstream music with profanity, violence and hyper sexualisation is haram.
