Yes agreed about Tony's choice for the tiny hammer. I commented about it for my ten year old because she's a fan and started her own leather craft business but glad to hear that it's going to an even younger kid!!! Way to go Tony and keep up the fantastic work.

Lovely hat. Distinctly Tony! Innovative pattern too. Congratulations to the future leatherworking competition on her newest tool that fits her hand! I have small hands so I know how important it is to find hammers and tools that don't make your hands hurt from being too big or heavy to use comfortably.

I bought this pattern on etsy, I didn’t know about the you- tube channel. The pattern is perfect! In combination with the video- tutorial it’s amazing. I made this hat for my Dad, and it turned out beautiful (the sizes are absolutely exact). I’m looking forward to try my hands on more of your projects. It‘s clear to see how much work and love of detail you put into this. Thank you.

FIRST… Tony, thank you! This was definitely my most challenging leather project yet, and thanks to your outstanding pattern and video tutorial I was able to complete it no problem! PRO TIP: when punching the holes, in order to easily reference the visor end holes on the band, I used a diamond stitching iron to make those two holes instead of my round punch. This made lining everything up during construction very easy.
    Thank you again, Tony!

LMAO "We're making a hat. We're not trying to make a helmet here." I laugh because I made the 8-panel Newsboy hat with the only chrome tanned leather I had at the time and it was 6-7 oz. It was SO hard to stitch but I got it and it "looks" perfect. Problem is, I actually asked friends if they wanted a Newsboy hard hat. Listen to Tony because he knows best and makes perfect patterns! Just bought this pattern this afternoon so I'm excited to get started.

Hi Toni, first of all, thank you very much for your great videos and your really good patterns. I like your style and the extraordinary leather work you share with us. I tried my hand at the flat cap (in Germany we call it Schiebermütze) and downloaded the pattern. And as you say in your video: "The last stich will be the hardest". It was like that, I redone it 2 times. But I think the result turned out okay. Next I will try my hand at the steampunk vest and look forward to the videos and ideas from you that are still come. Thanks from Germany, Mike!

Bought the pattern. Worked out pretty well. The wife likes it, and that's the main thing. Didn't see the size of the stitching punch before making the hat though. I usually use a home made pricking iron which is great for wallets but made the fold over part harder than it needed to be... punch set is in the mail.
