Looking forward to playing this. Map looks great and the cards give a great feel for the period. I already own Downtown Air War so good to see air war events portrayed in this new game too.
You (GMT folks) should really do more tutorials with actual game materials. I really like the Vassal demos, but in comparison, they don't give me a real "feeling" of the game. So, please, keep it rolling. :)

This is a great game and my favourite along with a distant plain. I would really love to see a COIN game based in Northern Ireland during the troubles. I think the system would fit so Well, with the British troops, Ulster constabulary, protestant paramilitaries and IRA as players.

It's early 2017 and this game is nowhere to be found in europe, any chance of a reprints ? the available ones in the U.S. have elevated prices due to scarcity .. $190 etc plus shipping + import taxes into Europe around 21% of the value of the product + shipping !
There's nothing that can be done about elevated prices (I suppose) when stocks run low but having said that I managed to order a new copy of one of the last copies of RAN from the U.S. last week at reasonable price.
@c knott if you go onto the GMT site they only need another 34 more orders of Fire In The Lake to reach that magic 500 number to commission a new reprinting at $59 it's worth it and I think that they have special low price shipping to Europe. +clint matthews The Vietcong's flag was red and blue, with a yellow star in the centre. All of the factions in the game, with the exception of the US, take their colours from their respective historical flags (NVA red, ARVN yellow). Also I think blue was chosen in order to differentiate them from the Taliban in A Distant Plain, who are coloured black.

When most people think of the VC, they think of guys in black pj's.
