They should bring him in with limited snaps as player mentor. Remember that the Astros had Jeff Bagwell in that last playoff run in the 2000's. He was hurt, but they put him on the roster incase they made the world series and win. JJ, thank God is not injured, but that is all on him if he is serious on returning to play.
Stoots is forgetting the free agents that have been added...this year they are built to WIn. Last year was a push for improvement and snuck into the playoffs, this year is a push for the conference, minimally.
I love JJ. I want him back. But I'm nervous about it and I don't want this fanbase to be the reason he gets a life altering injury. The heart stuff is what makes me the most nervous. But damn would it be amazing to see him on the team again.
It strikes me, as I watch this video that our Texans are finally constructed with the same mindset as JJ used to play with - relentless, driven , a desire to be the best. I think JJ is coming back and helping this team win a Super Bowl. I’m calling it now………. Come week 10 we are going to hear that JJ is a Texan again and we are all going to lose our sh*t. It will be like when Clyde Drexler came home in 95 🔥
What has me believing is seeing him now in the clip. He looks like he's put some muscle back on from where he was a year ago. Maybe my eyes deceive me though.
I noticed that too. Towards the end of the season last year when he was in the booth more, he was looking thinner. He was straight JACKED at the softball tourny.
I don’t think he would come back to just any team, i think he wants to officially retire as a Texan but also help them get to the Super Bowl and get a ring with Houston
I trust your judgment, Seth. After all you're a former player. But, it seems to me an a dude on the outside, that the sooner JJ is in that locker room, the better it will be for everyone.
I went back and watched AGAIN the 'good' Texans seasons with Andre, Owen, Arian, and Schaub. It made me feel much better about the team we have now. I've been concerned about the schedule they have this coming season. But watching those games made me realize we have a chance against pretty much anybody, even though there seem to be more incredible athletes all over the league than ever before.
I think they are constructing this team with a much better focus on building out the middle class. Some of the better teams in the past were very top-heavy with studs, but nobody left to play special teams.
I'd almost bet JJ would play for free if DeMeco called him (with the team covering medical of course). And I believe he'd need some time on the field, not just to swoop in last minute. I agree that we'd love to see JJ get a ring. I don't know anybody who wasn't overjoyed for Kubes.
Could the Texans give JJ a retainer fee to keep him from jumping onto another Playoff Team ? I want him to get a Ring but I want it to be in Houston ! I would be happy for him regardless but if he gets a Ring Houston fits and feels right for us fans & probably in JJ's Heart !! We drafted him and got way more then other Teams ever even thought so he has to feel a certain way about Houston ??
WHEN JJ returns to the Texans, it will be because the Texans are having a very good season... and on the brink of a breakout season for the franchise. And WHEN that happens, let's have a party here. Dealio?
I don't like the fact that he bailed when the team was down, for the Cardinals of all teams, but is willing to jump back on board now that they are better.
You said it yourself, the team was down and they continued to be bad. Cal rewarded JJ for his years of service by giving him a chance to end his career on a high note. The Cardinals were, at the time, a rising team. That is how it went down. It was not a matter of JJ leveraging his way out of Houston. Your take has flaws.

Best Texans coverage by far.
I think it's mutual.
Seth single-handedly sucked me into the Texans universe and I can’t get out
Apologies!

Excellent point!

If he comes back it's not because of fan pressure lol
You’re a survivor fan 😎💪🏽💪🏽 had to subscribe.. I enjoy your channel . 💯 🤘🏾🤘🏾

I could see him coming in and being a player/coach like Keenum
If it happens, cool, if not it won’t bum me out too much
I think he only needs to play 15 snaps a game to impact the game.
I think if we go into training camp with $15 million left on our salary cap, it's a pretty good sign. We're going to sign JJ.
His body has recovered from 12 years of wear and tear in the NFL. He feels great now!
He misses the contact and the excitement!

💯🔥🤘🏼
JJ never got to wear the Oiler throwback uniform. But now he can wear a better uniform. Plus againts the Titans
Pewter Payne helmet should be valued between $7,500-125,00, pretty sure.
This is the only reasonable opinion
I'm scared for him because of his past back injuries.
Goddamn I love Shannon and Ocho

JJ did in fact have a 3 sack game his last year. I belive the last game
if we didn't sign him with a depleted d-line going into the playoffs last year, theres no way we sign him this year
I addressed this in the video.
@@SethPayneShowyeah that’s on me I was only a few minutes into the video when I commented that
They will sell so many fucking jerseys if he comes back
16:34 what do you mean by that🤨🤨🤨🤨
22:52 nevermind you've already been bullied. big fan seth
😂😂
Bring him in as a DE coordinator, just to have that knowledge in the building
Didn’t realize u was doing click bait Seth

$250 for a pewter helmet like that? Maybe? You can safely rule this out as a reasonable price, because I suck at this stuff.
😂FWIW that seems to be the consensus price, so you're at least average at this!
So you're saying there's a chance??? Lol

Do you think play at a high level again?
he should come back for the playoffs fully healthy for a superbowl push. Rotate him all over
Seth....is Ryan Garcia a dirty fighter, and should Devin Haney get his "0" back on his boxing record?
I have inside information hes definitely not coming back sorry
Well damn, that’s conclusive proof all right.
