- After jumping down to hike 1300 miles of Florida during the winter, we are back to continue our southbound trek of the Appalachian Trail. Picking up from where we left off, we cross into our 8th state and venture into the feared 'Rocksylvania'. Will our healing feet and legs be able to tackle the sharp brutal rocks? My guess is you are in southern Virginia now. Must be pretty cool passing all the NOBO with you two heading the opposite way. You certainly should be well prepared for the southern heat having come off the Florida Trail. Enjoy your journey and thanks for the wonderful content
