Carol is a comedy genius. I recently watched an episode on Prime of her guest starring on The Lucy Show (before she got her own show). She played a nerdy librarian & was effing brilliant. I died laughing. It was STILL just as funny now as it was 50 or 60 years ago.

I’m listening to that Saturday night lineup: All in the Family, MASH, Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart, Carol Burnette Show. That’s the lineup for One Night??? They’re all classics.
Saturday nights on CBS in the 70s was like NBC's Thursday night "Must See TV" in the 90s, only it came first and was twice as big.
For all the people than moan about Howard changing and becoming PC, here is an A-list guest he only gets because he is the new- Howard. It’s been over 30 years and he’s in his 60’s; this is what you get.
It’s time we all started dealing with it.
I would rather see this than another Butt Bongo Fiesta etc. I’ve listened to Howard since the early 80's and its all good in different ways. All artists mature. This is a great interview and Howard’s reputation for delivering great interviews is well deserved. Carol is clearly enjoying this conversation.
