- Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most popular series in anime and manga right now, and in this video I will be talking about the 3 series that have led to the BIGGEST inspirations for the series.

Bruh seeing Yusuke, Ichigo, and Gon coming together to create JJK makes my heart swell
It’s does, Ichigo and Yusuke mostly for me since those are my favorite shonen MC’s.
(Before anyone says anything I like Gon too, just not to the same extent I love these other two)
@@NinthShinigamifair take. Respect
the series is just ok. it's nowhere near those shows (except maybe bleach).
We're making thus teenager suffer repeated physical and mental trauma boys 😂😂😂😂
That's what happens when you give your heart and head to flipping fiction and drawings on papers
Another influence from Hunter X Hunter would be the "showing one's cards" vow. In HxH there is a character called Genthru in Greed Island, who in order to make his hatsu work better, required him to explain his ability. How it is activated, what it does, and how to disable it. Because of that, he was able to take use his power on dozens of people at once and take them out.
Genthru's rarely talked about so good notice.
Ya this was also a straight rip from HxH.. I like it way better than the villain explains his "unstoppable" plan while twisting his mustache
*spoiler alert* i think when Chrollo explain the abilities that he’s about to use, it’s probably his condition for using the bookmark
@@this.user. he may also be doing it to buy time to set up the pages because he knows Hisoke can't help but try to outsmart him rather than brute force him. So listening to the ability explanation is like catnip for Hisoke.
@@this.user. not ripping on what you said, but chrollo doesn’t have any requirement for ability activation. In the zoldyck fight he uses multiple abilities quickly, in succession, and silently. I think if he explains something it more plays into the ability to deceive others with half truths and false rules.
Bleach has inspired so many new gen manga it's actually crazy
It's a cool looking manga too apart from the plot. That's why.
Im just happy BLEACH is getting the recognition it deserved, before TYBW it was cotsantly the punching bag of the big 3. Nowadays its less so or hardly
@@lalboimanlun1230 Is that what you think?
The Bleach blueprint. Lawly channel has a video about it. It's what made modern shonen mangas these days.
@@Smoodie. That is why I said it.
I love how open Gege is about his inspirations. He's mentioned Evangelion too
Meanwhile you have people out there passionately discrediting (or as I like to brand it, showing off their disinterest or dislike in a series) the series for being a knock off or ripoff of another series. It’s tiring to see it for series like Jujutsu, My Hero, *ESPECIALLY* Black Clover 🤦♂️
@@NinthShinigami be fr here i can’t name any original concept in black clover
@@NinthShinigami Nah, personally this video means nothing too serious but if you say it's a copy then I say it's just a better Update
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is basically evangellion lol, he even made sure yuta would get shinjis va

You forgot to mention that Gege is also a fan of the Fate series, and Domain Expansions, while taking inspiration from YYH's domains, are more like Fate's Reality Marbles.
Very amazing
Nasu influence?
It isnt?
it clearly is
Nope, it's clearly inspired by YYH's territories. Gege is not inspired by Fate.
Another inspiration from bleach is the reveal of kenjaku and the reveal of aizen as main villains that fundamentally change the stories they are in. Also the fact that they have both known the MC longer than the MC has known themselves
That's some basic narrative shit.
Yeh it happens alot and I encourage you to name one besides bleach/jjk, aizen and kenjaku planning the mc is way to similar
Aizen planted hollow in Ichigo and orchestrad everything
While kenjaku made the vessel for sukuna via getting back shotted also orchestraded everything
Reveals that everything that the mc has is planned by the main villain, can you name another anime with a similar narrative?, @@gamongames
Togashi has inspired so many mangakas. Him and Araki are the most influential after Toriyama imo. They changed the shonen game with the way they presented power systems and strategic fights among other things
don't forget kurumada
Love when artists wear their influences proudly on their shelves
Also edits are fye
NGL. A bit shameful when ur borderline copying
I think Bleach inspiration goes much deeper than that. The main character designs age and occupation. In both worlds you have monsters that normal people can’t see that are created by negative human emotions on top of a secret society who works to stop those monsters from harming society. A wolf in sheep’s clothing in Aizen and Kenjaku.
When gege said he used to spend his time at a family friends’ restaurant reading dragon ball… I realized I, too, had to dive into DB to fully appreciate gege’s work.
Same goes for gege’s comment on how a friend of his said his house was covered in HxH volumes.
Out of curiosity, how much of DB is there in JJK?
how? I feel like it takes way more influence from HxH than DB, unless you mean in terms of like paneling or something
@@xx-demon-akitsuha-xx it’s a diff type of influence than the ones ronin mentioned. The silly moments feel a lot like db. Although I did find a direct panel reference between maki and goku wondering how they can handle an enemy in the sky.
@@Dell-ol6hb the references are different than the ones ronin mentioned. Not a lot of one for one things but you can tell there’s influence regardless. I did find a one for one panel of goku and maki both wondering how they could reach an enemy in the sky. Most of the influence is gonna come in the silly moments. Like yuji running as fast as a car with no training type stuff.
@@2Padre. you don’t think yuji’s natural strength prior to training is very goku like?
I fear how Gege ends jjk
The fact he has made you fear the endings outcome means the story is already great!
Agreed 👍
Everyone dies! - Gege Akutami
After JJK, i’m excited to see Gege’s next Manga series honestly
That’s the best part weirdly enough 😂
I'm surprised it's not mentioned but there are a few notable Bankai that clearly inspired Domain Expansion too. Tosen's bankai created a small area that robbed Zaraki of his senses (except touch), Unohana releases a mass pool of blood which she freely manipulates, and Shunsui has an elaborate ruleset for his Shikai within an area while his Bankai completely envelopes an area that affects opponents in stages of a play. It's incredible seeing what details were inspirational for Gege.
I would disagree cause yuyu hakusho directly inspires domains plus domains are part of many marvel dc and novels like fate
Domains are most likely inspired by yyh and fate. Gege have said that both influenced his work.
I would say Malovalent Shrine is inspired from Ichibei
@@joebidenjr5902 i agree yeah
Shuhei as well and technically Shinji
Togashi has 2 of the greatest series of all time let's be real
Togashi is the only one whose genius is on par with Oda when it comes to shonen story telling.
@@Gynosanya Oda? Seriously?
@@seru_phius just say you never read OP lmao, there's no one who keeps the story going while maintaining early characters relevant so naturally, world building is by far the greatest out of all shonen manga and character development is very natural and realistic, characters themselves are unbelievably well written from top to bottom, even the less relevant ones, comedy and tragedy are both top notch and no one has better backstories than Oda not just among shonen mangaka, but all of them in general. You can stay in denial cause you like glazing other series, but it is what it is.

Bleach is my favorite anime/manga and Yu Yu Hakusho is my third, so both of their influences onto Jujutsu I’ve always seen as one of the many reasons I really enjoy this series. I love HUNTERxHUNTER too, but not to the extent of Bleach and Yu Yu, tho the power system was clearly an influence and I think some of the art too 😂
yeah, the way Kubo writes Bleach's story is so good, it's like Elden Ring but as a manga, where there's no handholding or spoonfeeding for the reader
I feel the same way HxH is my fav of all time and YYH an bleach are both in my top 10

@@Archaoen0Love these excuses for the awful writing of the series.
i love these excuses for your lack of basic intelligence and attention span, go watch Dora the explorer i guess. @@jairekambui7738
I’d say there’s a BIG Comparison with Mahito and The Elder Toguro in character and abilities, both have metamorphing / shape shifting abilities, loves playing around and making there opponents suffer in the worst way possible. There’s also the scene with Elder toguro shapeshifting his hand into Genkai and stabbing her. Mahito did the same with Junpei when fighting Itadori in Shibuya.
I also see a few shreds of D.Gray-man with character parallels Yuji has with Allen Walker. But HxH, Bleach, and YYH definitely shine the most in their influence on JJK
Absolutely 👍 even D. Gray-man’s power system (innocence) feels a bit like Jujutsu’s I think. Just a little. Even at the start when the akuma were like the hollows/curses
D. Gray-man is one of the greatest shonen of all time.. I'm glad people are still talking about it. Underrated as hell
@@BobbyCroseBewler top 5 shonen as far as I’m concerned. The other competitors for me would be One Piece, Slam Dunk, Rurouni Kenshin, and Great Teacher Onizuka.
I haven't read D. Gray Man yet (manga or anime btw) but I know for a fact that Gege definitely has because one of the characters quotes the volume extras from volume 1 in Chapter 182 so yeah he has definitely read it!
Fr Kenjakus entire design is based of the Noahs family and D.Gray-Man was directly referenced in the manga a couple times.
I’m glad this video was made because I feel that here in the U.S. anime and manga fans don’t understand that other mangakas also have their favorite series and mangakas thus drawing inspiration from them.
The editing of this video is friggin insane
Absolutely love it man!
Domain Expansions are also more based off Reality Marbles from the Fate series and Gege has confirmed to be bit of a Fate fan, he has said that he really likes how Nasu makes his worldbuilding and uses it as inspiration, and he has also drawn Cu Chulainn for the Fate Series 15 year anniversary

Keep up the good work and I'm excited as always to see your new videos.
bro picks random words from the script to animate like 4:11. 'Aforementioned lol'
Didnt Gege also said in interview that Fate is also one of the main inspiration for world building also domain expansion being manifestation of one inner technique or self, is literally textbook definition of Reality Marble.
Gege also mentions he like the dark element of Fate Zero which might be why there is so many suffering in the series, and how gilgamesh is his fav character from fate. Gege also Especially like zero gil "Self righteous, and unforgiving attitude" which might also inspired some part of sukuna
*Spoiler for sukuna*
Gege even give sukuna mini Ea slash that cut apart "the world"
Once again you've cooked and the editing in this one was truly a feast for the eyes I only hope that it gets the praise it deserves
This was such a great discussion. Thanks for the insight!
Dragonball inspired the shonen tropes, but Bleach changed the genre to be what it is today. Still very few manga/anime can catch up to the mastery of Bleach (if any). It has great memorable scenes, incredibly unique characters, amazing story telling and an overall cool aesthetic.
People act like inspirations don’t create inspirations of what people like.
The chant to strengthen the curse technique and the kido spell is also a similar point in the "power system" (maybe i'm wrong)
Really Good video !
Ronin, your editing gets more and more amazing with each video like God damn
That’s so true. People are so quick to call something “unoriginal” or accuse somebody of plagiarism. Every piece of art has to have some kind of influence. Even if they do it subconsciously. Having influence is how pieces of art relate to one another throughout history and how culture is formed over time. Bleach takes ideas from yu yu hakusho and expands on the ideas the same way jjk expands on ideas from bleach. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s good because it’s taking an earlier idea and modernizing it. I can’t think of a more respectful way to pay homage to your favorite work. People take the stuff they like way too seriously and accept no criticism. It’s exhausting and close-minded. An example of this is how people accuse naruto of ripping off hunter x hunter. The forest of death is very similar to genkai’s forest during her tournament but togashi actually praised kishimoto for how well he did it. People also unfairly compare the chunin exams to the hunter exams. Those two arcs are similar in concept but they couldn’t be more different. Also sasuke is always criticized for being a dollar store version of kurapika but sasuke’s personality is much different than kurapika’s personality. It’s like these hive mind mentality people believe that nobody can use any ideas that bear even the slightest resemblance to something else. That’s so stupid because if that were true, no art would be allowed to exist. To me that would be a dystopian reality. There are people that do genuinely copy, plagiarize, and take credit for others ideas and they should be singled out for it instead of people seeing similarities and immediately slandering it, calling it unoriginal as if it should be cancelled, and immediately discrediting any artistic merit or quality that the work might have.
Jujutsu Kaisen is lowkey like if you took the Chapter Black Arc from YuYu Hakusho- then made it a whole series.
bro, your work is crazy, damn
Man, I love when mangaka gice props to other mangaka. Something so wholesome about writers respecting those that came before them.
Domains and barriers remind me of HxH's En too. Especially Simple Domain Nobunaga's use of En.
This editing is fire 🔥🔥🔥 love your vids. Keep up the great work
The editing is on point bro
Honorable mention gotta go to Shaman King. Was being published at a similar time as Hunter, similar characters, total spiritual power system, and the end of the main series especially showcased the domain expansion concept. It was a very popular series back in the day (my first manga), just too bad that it doesnt really get talked about more. Also has to be one of my favorite main villians in manga. Very wacky at times, but eventually dives into heavy complexity as the series progresses. If you haven't read or watched the 2021 remake, its definitely a good fast read/watch
Love the editing fr

YYH will always be goated.. glad to see yusuke in the thumbnail, makes me remember how bad ass he is
The idea of the magic system being negative energy literally from negative emotions is honestly a genius concept.
That thumbnail is one of my favourites you've ever had no lie and all 3 of these I love plus we getting live action Yu Yu Hakusho next month
Gege taking inspiration from all his favorite series' & openly displaying his love for them is nice to see. But he does make Jjk stand out from the others & that's perfect.

your editor went crazy this video !!
Nice coincidence too that sukuna and grimmjow share aesthetics and voice
bro the editing in this video is insane, Wroken Wonin
Gege chose all the animes that have IMMENSE drip kudos to him
I love a video like this. Tbh every single creator is influenced by the things they love, that’s the essence of inspiration. But I love JJK because when I first picked it up, I could tell that the author was heavily influenced by the same series that I’ve been influenced by.
I'd say to a lesser extent, there's also inspiration from Naruto, I mean the whole clans thing, inherited techniques being similar to Kekei Genkai and spoilers for JJK manga but Sukuna's plan for megumi is the same as Orochimaru's for Sasuke also his overall personality, being an arrogant beast from the past who enjoys battles against strong foes, is similar to Madara's
Culling games reviving sorcerers from the past is like 4th great ninja war of Naruto as well
There are quite a few other examples but I can't be bothered to type them all out
Also no I don't mean this in a negative way, I love JJK and really love when it has elements inspired from my other favs
Nah the clans thing was heavily inspired by the Bleach noble clans literally only the Noble Clans have been the focal point in the JJK universe in terms of influence and power, the culling game isn't from Naruto either while it's reminiscent it's still pretty much inspired by HxH. Inherited techniques aren't new Gege was also a fan of Fate the whole magic system is about inheritance there and only the best mages, sorcerers etc. are those that have passed down their power Tohsaka, Mato, Edelfelt even that crazy bitch with a red hair and etc are as strong as they are because their ancestors pass down their power and knowledge, inherited techniques are also inherent in Bleach some of the strongest Zanpaktous that are treasured by the noble families are those they pass down to the next generation and much more.
The Sukuna thing is good example of it being inspired by Naruto, however everything else you said is not Sukuna is heavily inspired by Grimmjow who enjoys fighting anyone from the past, present or future, similar but vastly different from Kenpachi however that's not where it ends Grimmjows attacks also inspired Sukuna's Attack and his mentality is closer to Grimmjow than Madara or Orochimaru, the only clear personality I see he takes from Madara is the big villain that has his own plan but other than that he doesn't resemble madara all that much.
@@yamatonoryuujin4871 about the clans thing, Gege himself said in an interview that the beginning of JJK is very similar to Bleach but when it comes to the design of the Jujutsu society he took more inspiration from Naruto, tho I'm not gonna bother looking for that so it's upto u whether to believe me or look for urself
But just look at Maki and tell me she isn't a weird mixture of Neji, Lee, Tenten and Itachi with ofc Gege's on twist on the idea
The inheritance in Fate isn't by blood but by manually planting magic crests that accumulate magical knowledge and so every following generation is stronger where as the techniques in JJK remain the same from one to the next gen like in Naruto, and Naruto came out quite a few years before fate... not to mention the similarities (mostly visual) of these techniques... like again Maki not being able to use Jujutsu but being physically strong is like Lee, Kamo's technique puts marks around his eye and makes him physically stronger which seems like a cool node to the Hyuga and the six eyes are an obvious parallel to the Sharingan
The premise of the culling games is no way similar too anything in HXH and idk where you got that, it revives ppl from the past on the antagonists side similar to the war in Naruto and that's it, it is it's owns thing
And finally for the Madara/Sukuna thing

(Manga spoiler btw)
The first thing I thought about when reading the title was the similarities between the September 1st in Yorkshire arc in HxH and October 31st in Shibuya in JJK, it really surprised me that this didn't appear in the video, but nonetheless great video.
No more like ant's arc, this arc is more depressing and everything goes wrong and you fell hopless when royal guards appears

Facts
Dang been a minute since i watched one of your videos. Gratz on 100k.
The thing that made me fall in love with JJK in the first place was I found out that me & GeGe are the same age and he clearly liked the same anime/manga I did growing up lol
I watched jjk and yyh at the same time and i too realized the similarities between domain expansion and territories and also geto and sensui being so similar, its amazing i wasn't the only one who realized
I'm just mad you left out Naruto, but nice video. Hxh is peak after all.
Hatin' on Naruto at the end lmao.
Great vid!
Dude your voice is majestic, and you also have a great script.
Your video editing are so much better now
I never understood those who call mangaka’s thieves for being inspired by others before them. I’m sure a lot of guys our age if we made mangas would be inspired heavily by Naruto, Bleach or One Piece. If I were making a Manga, I’d say I’d be inspired by Dragonball, Naruto, JJK and elements of Yu Yu, HunterXHunter and FMA. The power system would be a mix of Chakra and Cursed Energy.
BLEACH WAS THE MOST ENTERTAINING BADASS SHOW, hunter x hunter and yuyu hakusho were also amazing
Really well done. Realizing how much Togashi inspired Gege makes me love JJK and him even more.
Another aspect about Toji that Gege Akutami took inspiration from Bleach was his "Heavenly Restriction" which was inspired by Aizen's comment in which he originally believed that "Dangai Ichigo" discarded his Reiatsu in exchange for godly physical strength.
Sweet editing brudda
This is why since the beginning JJK was my favorite from this new generation of manga along side CSM, since a kid I always gravitated towards the more Dark Creepy shonens like YYH later on Bleach, and when JJK was beginning serialization it was amazing cuz it was a like New Gen Bleach mixed with elements of HXH, and Martial arts, it was the combination of lots of stuff I loved, The Dark atmosphere creepy monsters complex power system amazing character designs and that clever writing.
Also binding vows as a concept. In a meta sense of shonen he gave a reason for characters to explain their powers. I think it’s undeniable that Toji is influenced and a realized role for Guy and Lee. As they have the same restrictions on not being able to use the power system and finding their own way to fight
Love how creators in a sense carry the mantle from the past greats and adap/relate it to modern times , need more anime like JJK
One of the more interesting aspects of the similarities in writing power systems in jjk to bleach and hunter x hunter is Akutami’s use of restriction as a means to flesh out power. Toji and maki’s restrictions have covenants of sacrifice to obtain higher power. Similar to Gons nen restriction against pitou and ichigos final getsuga. It allows for Gege to frame incredibly illogicaly strong characters within a realm of reason (and for a LOT of grim deaths) which makes this series what it is for me. It’s reaching heights while trying to simultaneously ask the question “what does it take to get there”
I also borrowed quite a bit from Naruto.
1. external similarity between the 7th team and the gojo team. (I think this is an intentional reference)
2. distribution of magicians into teams of three people and a mentor, as in Naruto
3. the number of fingers of sukuna, the more, the stronger it is. the same thing with the tailed beasts in naruto
4. Megumi’s ability to summon animals, in Naruto you can also summon animals
5. the story of geto and gojo is similar to the story of kakashi and obito, but they played it differently
6. gojo blue's ability is reminiscent of shibaku tensei and also attracts everything around it
7. a character without cursed energy who relies only on physical data, toji, like guy sensei, uses only physical data
8. attack during the tournament arc
9. mehamaru is a disabled person who controls his body from a distance just like pain
10. Maki kills his clan like Itachi.
The similarities are slight, maybe it's just a coincidence
11.the technique used to resurrect toji is so very similar to edo tensei
12. OrochimaruSukuna wants to take Sasuke/Megumi body because he is talented and has strong abilities
I think this shows that in writing ideas are not very important, its all about execution. Binding bows are very similar to nen contracts, but the way they are implemented is very different. I especially like that binding bows are based on beliefs, meaning that you cannot take a hostage and make someone make a binding bow, and that the meaning of the bow depends on what the users think about it (as seen in the manga).
That's an awesome thumbnail
this is the coolest thing ever
Seeing Yuta and mechamaru gives another influence neon Genesis Evangelium and it's protagonist Shinji
The fact that Mechamaru’s fight with Mahito made him look like Simon from Gurren Lagann shows even the anime team understand the influences and therefore their assignment lol
@@NinthShinigami sure. That's what I love when it's not only making a reference use but to honor the influence. We had it to in a very lovely and playful way when gojo and itadori have the cursed techniques conversation.
We even had the Uzumaki in the most terrifying way remembering us on Itos original version. Gege Akutami does have a good hand on using his influences the right way.
@@spookyshideout8172 What does Naruto have to do with everything?
@@aliomar2912 Tonbo Tobitake, better said his look was what made Gege draw a character by his own not showing his eyes for the most time

Glad u mentioned Netero x Todo reference, GOATED REFERENCE for me the best moment of the manga honestly, hyped me to the moon!
While his personality is a lot more akin to kisuke I’m not gonna stand for the insinuation that Kakashi Hatake was not instrumental to the creation of Gojo Satoru. Say whatever you want but the special eyed, white haired blue headband wearing sensei that defines the power ceiling for a very good amount of time in the story with the power to oneshot just about anyone except god did not come from geges mind

Shonen is like the themes of the story. Take what your fathers gave you and make it better

Also a similarity between Bleach and Jjk is how both Aizen and Kenjaku reveal there plan at the end of soul society and shibuya arcs, how they both fight of characters and proudly tells there plan to them. Also how the maximum technique that kenjaku tells Uzumaki, that scene looks just like aizen explaining hogyoku.
Also that the domain expansion is kinda influenced from Bankai as they both are the last resort killer moves a character can do while fighting.
and the way both leave after explaining thier plans is pretty simillar too

An important thing to remember is that all writing is derivative. Everything comes from someone or somewhere. The crazy thing is that we are only at the surface still with creating original works.
Please make a video on ranking every major character from the bleach tybw arc from weakest to strongest 🙏. I would love to see your take in this.

Bro Broken Ronin I’m on too u you’re postin banger after banger im peakin game and im locking in
If you want a random fun fact kubo kinda did a toji in saint seiya which he has cited as one of his main inspirations. Theres a scene in saint seiya where a character is using sound based powers against a foe and that foe bursts his eardrums to block it. The same way mask ruptured his eardrums to block rose's bankai. Except in saint seiya the guy loses even after destroying his own hearing.
So i assume in the same way that gege made toji more prominent because he liked the design of cang du, kubo made mask win the fight instead because he thought it was stupid that the guy lost even after blowing out his own eardrums.
I feel like while you can see gege took huge inspiration from togashi's series and naruto i still feel like he looks to kubo most as mentor. For starters, this could be just because hes the most available but he's the only one you see meeting up with him in person. Not just gege but horikoshi too. Gege even got his penname from the protagonist of zombiepowder, kubo's older manga.
You may not have known this but kubo when he was starting out got a lot of flak from editors and magazine staff telling him he shouldn't write like he was and do it like dragonball and stuff instead. So he developed this kind of rebellious anti-authority mindset. And even though he is an oldhead himself now he probably still sees himself as a rebel and with the upcomers. Thats why he's selecting rising artists for the opening songs of TYBW anime instead of safe bets. I think he's the most nurturing of the newer gen writers and other writers seem to get him more. Like how a bunch of other mangaka's fave character is mayuri who also happens to be kubo's fave.
I think its a reach and don't see it personally but i showed a JJK fan who hadn't read bleach a picture of the character azashiro from the spirits are forever with you and he said it was geto. Like i said i don't really see it.
There are a few more panels i noticed which are almost 1 to 1 homages of bleach panels but i forget them all now.
Personally i think mahito is significantly inspired by mayuri.
Itadori is clearly closest to ichigo. They are almost the same person at the start of the series.
Then theres the settings and hollows and all that i'm sure you can go on forever listing similarities so theres no point.
Oh last thing i know people said yu yu hakusho heavily inspired bleach but 2 things are: kubo never said as much and he did list a lot of inspirations. Saint seiya as said before and gegege no kitaro. But also there are only 1 section of the series that actually look like it was nspired by YYH, and its the least popular sections: the fullbring arc. It's my fave arc and it does look like a massive copy of chapter black but everyone hates it, so we can see how far taking inspiration from YYH got kubo. Not very far. Every other comparison to YYH i've seen has been a massive reach except a few tiny references.
What you said about the power system is something I've noticed while watching the Shibuya arc. I don't think blending a complex magic system like HxH's and a simple one like Bleach's works that well.
In the end I end up being confused by the story and not as invested in its characters.
The 80s Doomed Megalopolis novels, adapted to film and anime started the supernatural warrior boom YYH and so on jumped on. The domains you see in JJK, Bleach or X/1999 (Clamp named Doomed Megalopolis as their main inspiration) are a gimmick in Doomed Megalopolis. Not that it was invented there either. Anyway: Doomed Megalopolis WAS BIG BUSINESS in the 80s and 90s.
For people interested in that aspect that nothing is original anymore, read the book "Steal Like an Artist" by Austin Kleon. A learning technique that might be controversial is copying/studying masters/favorite artists. Gege did what was mentioned in the book and this video is showcasing that.
Probably been mentioned but Demon Yusuke and Sakuna share a cool tattooed design, not to mention the tattoos are meant to mark the dark strength hidden within the respective lead characters.
I feel that the Sakuna and Mazoku inspiration needs to be acknowledged over everything
Today's episode. Yuji straight up in JaJanken pose and todo literally quoting Netero
this editing goes so unbelievably hard
It’s interesting to see how people change up on stuff like Twitter depending on how they feel about the series too. I remember when vol11 for jjk came out people were like “cmon brah not everything is a hxh reference” to bag on hunter but now the same people will say Gege meatriding or stealing from Togashi now that the story is in a place or doing something they don’t like. Suddenly it’s stealing
"Gege has stated that Uzumaki, Naruto..."
that was intentional
