I would love if Savitar is future Barry but not our Barry as we know him but Flashpoint Barry. My reasoning Barry wouldve become the flash regardless of his mother dying. So what happened is when our Barry saved his mom and "created" Flashpoint (Flashpoint is just an alternate timeline so there wouldve been a Barry) he 'replaced' Flashpoint Barry and because speedsters dont really die they go into the speedforce Flashpoint Barry was sent to the speedforce while Our Barry took over and then Our Barry realised he messed up and 'erased' Flashpoint leaving Flashpoint Barry stuck and no way home so then feeling angry and like evrything he loved was taken from him Flashpoint Barry goes into the future and finds a Tachyeon suit that increases his speed and then goes back in time to fight Our Future Barry but ends up losing and gets trapped in the speedforce for good and then comes up with the idea to use Wally to create Kid Flash and escape the speedforce much earlier to fight and kill a much younger Barry but first taken his love away Iris (cause Flashpoint Iris no longer exist), So that means that the alternate timeline that Our Barry as we know him now in the present is in is because of Savitars attempt to kill Future Barry and that means the Future Barry we see from episode 19 is actually different to the Future Barry Savitar fought and Episode 19 Future Barry is Our current Barry from this alternate Timeline where the Future Barry that Savitar fought was from the Original Timeline before Flashpoint!!

Caitlin would trust him as a best friend
He is a part of team flash and he knows everyone well
Also we have seen Cisco be inside of the speed force at the same time as being outside because of his vibe
He is the designer of the tech / suits in star labs so he could easily make it for himself
He always brings up movie references and naming himself Savitar would make sense
He is smart and could give himself speed
Also Savitar mentions that Barry was there when he became who he is so he could've watched Cisco become Savitar
And in my opinion it would be a suprise as everyone thinks it will be Barry or Ronny and btw Cisco has black hair which you see Savitar have in episode 19

This Reveal was by far the wose in the series in my opinion and until they explain it in more depth it doesn't fit visually either i mean take the scene where jay tells barry how savitar become savitar, its off on many levels Hair, Height and body size, i really dont understand the using of Daniel cudmore for a 3 second scene now just a bit lame but will watch to see if the explanation story can change my thoughts

I've got a theory, short but simple, Savitar is Barry, when the article saying he gets lost in a crisis is published, I believe it was around that time that he got trapped in the speed force and the reason why iris didn't write the article is because Savitar (future Barry) had already successes in killing her when he did in that timeline therefore leading the article to be published by someone and not iris.

I think it's Jay Gerrick think about it Barry promised he would get him out of the speedforce but when Barry went to 2024 there was no sign of them saving him (unless savitar took his place) but when he got out he could've went crazy for experiencing his worst fear when he replaced Wally over and over again it drove him insane and he wanted Barry to feel his pain aswell to get revange on him for not getting him out like he promised
My theory is that Savitar is the flash who stopped Barry from saving his mother the first time he went back in season 1.

My bet: Savitar is Eddie Thawne and/or Ronnie. The origin story of Savitar is all in Season 1. After watching episode 23 of season 1, I noticed some striking similarities between the singularity (it's colour) and Savitar's suit. Eddie was wearing a blue talisman with the imprint "The christ of the Thawne family," when his "dead" body was sucked into the wormhole. The wormhole also reopened itself after Caitlyn shut it down, even the Professor couldn't explain why. My guess is, it wasn't just a wormhole but the Speedforce itself trying to keep the future on track after Barry had wiped Reverse Flash out of existence. Ronnie also got sucked into the wormhole while it was feeding. Apparently, his fission with Professor Stein released tons of energy. Ronnie was also holding the tachyon device when he was sucked into the wormhole. To me, those are like the ingredients to the Savitar origin story. Furthermore, Eddie's character in season 1, the jealous over Barry being close to Iris, is somewhat similar to the Savitar we see in season 3. Savitar is jealous that Barry is Joe's boy, and Iris' lover. He adds that Barry doesn't deserve all that. He says this to Barry right before they fight and Barry gets injured. Eddie=Savitar, and Ronnie has something to do with that.
Paul Kuona see now this makes sense! Maybe Ronnie and Eddie merged like firestorm and went crazy by being sucked into the speed force. I've been thinking that savitar may not necessarily be a speedster and that maybe his armor is what gives him speed. This means that whoever is in it is just harnessing the speed force and may not actually be a speedster. If being in the speed force can make someone crazy then imagine Eddie in there constantly watching Barry take Iris and flaunt their relationship in front of him. Maybe he'd want to kill Iris to make Barry feel what he felt. Eddie in Ronnie's body is something that would bring killer frost in right away since Ronnie is the only person that killer frost from earth 2 actually had feelings for so he's the only one that could get to her personally. The only thing that doesn't fit is how would he know anything about Wally since neither of them were around when Wally came into the picture. Unless he just did his research in the future or future killer frost gave him all the info he missed out on.
