@@candysmith8724 I had the pleasure of visiting MoA with my parents as a kid when it had just finished construction. IIRC, it had the tallest indoor rollercoaster ever constructed at the time. Like in this video, many of the stores had multiple locations on various floors and opposite sides of the mall so locals wouldn't have to deal with so much walking. We spent an entire day there and probably only covered 10 - 20% of the entire mall.

The older Atlanta gets, the more she looks like her mother. I think it's uncanny how much they look alike and I wouldn't be surprised if as a bit more time goes by people will find it difficult to tell them apart. I love the awe you all are expressing as you go through this American Dream Mall. Better you than me. I would not survive all the walking involved in going through a mall that large.

I liked how Atlanta was eager to go on the coasters with dad while Denzel was like "no thanks." It reminded me of how my little brother wanted nothing to do with coasters and my little sister always turned to me to ride with her. Next time, please come to my state of Minnesota to the Mall of America, the largest mall in the United States. Even bigger than this one!! It would take you a few days to get through. It has a amusement park inside, in the middle. Hundreds of stores, dozens of restaurants along with a movie theater and a huge aquarium. The large water park is next door. Added incentive is no purchase taxes on clothing.

It’s funny how easy accessibility and frequent visits normalizes the experience. I suppose the same holds true for those who live near Disneyland and other tourist spots. Enjoying all your interesting videos and seeing your reactions to things that are new to you. About the malls, there are several in the USA that have amusement parks, water slides, skating rinks, etc., mostly because of weather conditions. Many parks have to close down in the winter time, so this is a way in which people can still have indoor rides and such. Of course, here in L.A. we hardly have to close anything outdoors due to the weather. Glad to know that your family had a blast visiting America.

A friend of mine lives near a small city near Minneapolis that has the YMCA connected to the library. There's an atrium inside. And the seniors who live in the senior citizen complex, which is also attached never have to go outside in the winter. In winter, they can get exercise at the y, get books and videos at the library, and walk through the atrium. There's a grocery store within a few 100 yds outside. But they would have to put their coats on😅

The story behind this mall is insane. It took somewhere over a decade to get built. So many developers either quit or ran out of money trying to build it. It was such a hot mess getting it built and of course it gets built at a time when the mall is starting to die out due to internet shopping. It's a cool mall but possibly will struggle. It has only been open a couple years.
