My dad was in SAC in B-52s and B-58s back in the 60's. This was a favorite show of his. When I was a little girl I had SUCH a crush on Paul Burke. I am delighted to find these on CZcams - and it's hilarious to find out that they're in color. I never knew they were in color. We were the last household in our neighorhood to get a color TV, not until about 1974 when I was in high school. So I always saw all TV shows in black and white until then. Since I never saw any reruns aired of this show, it just never occurred to me that it was in color. 😅 Silly me! I was also tickled many years later to see Paul Burke on an episode of Magnum. What a surprise!
B-58s. Wow. Amazing airplane!
tell your dad thanks for his service from a ol d ret. sailor lol
Robert Walker also played GI perfect Ollie Joe in an episode of Combat
Also played an American student in Columbo's "Mind Over Mayhem," and many other film and TV roles. He was the son of actors Robert Walker and Jennifer Jones. His parents separated when he was only three, and at age 9 his stepfather became the powerful film mogul David O. Selznick.
I remember that one
He was great in Ensign Pulver. Check it out if you haven't already seen it.
Robert Walker a good actor
i love watching 12 O'Clock High day and night. I admire Paul Bruce snd ,Chris Robinson very much ,they were both good looking good actors! How are they now……are they stil alive? I am also a die hard fan of Vic Morrow of Combat! tnx
This was when TV was good and fun to watch. Of course I am eighty one. Will watch them all.
All the best ! Keep watching ...
hey, I got a story for you. When the network boys fired Robert Lansing, they said "the show needed more sex appeal." Lansing replied, "Well I agree, gentlemen, but I don't think Paul Burke is the kind of pussy guys want to see." I know you're laughin, right ?
Robert Walker jr. just died a couple of days ago. He always looked young.
thanks, love to hear people have died. I feel good now.
@@thatman8987 Chill out dude
@Ted Dammit ok is that censored to your liking? I'll try not to speak my mind again. Thank you for showing me the social boundaries of what I can say or do.
Charlie X himself.
@@BrianRPaterson There were a lot of movies and TV series were he had played in almost the same role, always the outsider on the brink.
His performande in the COMBAT ! episode OLLIE JOE ( also on CZcams ) might had been the most CHARLIE X like one.
It's always interesting in Robert Walker and his acting.
Good series FM Sixties..!!
Very new and tidy German uniforms seen when Gallagher boys captured - considering the plight the Germans were in as they were retreating ahead of the Soviets!
Albert Salmi. Great.
They're lucky, Walker (Charlie X from Star Trek) could've made all their faces blank, then they wouldn't be able to mouth off anymore to him.
He lost Weight ! That heavy water from Norway works wonders !
Best use I've ever seen for a Jeep.
Hollywood doesn't make series like this anymore
At 2:00 he called the Colonel, General when he brought in Shultz.
Sgt. Schultz? Oh my...
I see nothing I know nothing
It’s been a long time since I saw “ The Thing”.
32:18 ALBERT SALMI has ways of making you talk
Sgt. Schulz what is this now Hoagan Heros?
It looked like they were being shelled from the Vietnam war for a split second
3:53 OPENING THEME
Now I know where Starwars and StarTrek borrowed their music from.
the really sad part of this episode is that bomber crew member always shot out or threw out the nordon bombsite. They didn't want the Germans to get their hands on it. Germany already had the plans prewar but just interrogated the bomber crew to keep the roose alive.
The German's did possess the bomb site. They just didn't find it as accurate as the Army Air Corps claims.
Very classified units
@@lewiseberhart2871 , yes the RAF SABS bombsight was much better.
Germans had an agent working at the bombsight factory.
Brooklyn New York I believe.
3:12 THE CITY OF STETIN, back then a truly German City. It was the fourth biggest German city in Geermany By the trreaty of Jalta that should had been still on the German side but Stalin had overruled this decision and gave it to the Poles in exchange for the lost Polish Cities in the East he had taken from them.
4:15 Albert Salmi as an SS Officer, interesting. I know him from the once so successfull Lawyer/Detective series PETROCELLI were he had played the P.I. working together with the lawyer Petrocelli ( Barry Newman ) fighiting for " lost cases "
45:13 CLOSING THEME
CHARLIE X FROM STAR TREK.
Germans great series
42:07 as bad a Combat! Krauts ride Harleys.
how come they never show the ball turret gunner? is it a older model b-17?
Gotta love it when they roll in a Sherman 46:36 just because it was one of the only Tanks they could get. Oh well at least they didn't use a toy And what were the little tanks? French?
US M3 I think.
Lend- Lease
Vietnam era field artillery
At least they used proper MB / GPW 'Jeeps' in these, unlike Rat Patrol and so many others that used M38 and O.D. green painted CJ2a and CJ3A 'Universals'.
The smaller tanks were American Stewart's, light recon tanks.
The few Germans who had a conscience and questioned authority . More of these and the Nazis would have had a tougher time .
Unfortunately, they were very few and far between.
@@lsmart And people were otherwise terrified to take the risk
It wasn't him, it was Ben Cooper.
Cigarette, herr Oberst?
Good Episode. 😊 39:46
The Russians would have been driving T-34 tanks not American Stewart light tanks.
ending is one big.. AS IF....????
I am a German American. It s hard for me to watch this kind of stories. Want a waste war is.
+robert fernandez not true. My daughters are German American. My ex is German, I'm American!
Yea, your right. When you have a person using 2 country names as in this case, if they had to choose they will always go with the first.
No one forcing you to watch it. You can always watch Mickey Mouse instead.
It is perhaps difficult for an insular American to understand how one can have two loyalties. One is rarely forced to choose between them. When that does happen then many different values come into play. It is almost impossible to know which one will be chosen until and unless that crisis is faced.
My friends father grew up in Germany he said when the Bolshevics took over everybody was starving [ who were the Bolshevics the jews Marx Lennin Trotsky all jews ] when Hitler took over there was prosperity then he was in the US Army in WW2
Sasha harden in another episode
++++++++MEMORIES+++++++???++++++++++++++ALL GOOD+++++++
THOUGHT THAT WAS A VULCANS LOGIC????
Weed Me
Ridiculous plot but good for a laugh. Where did they get those silly "Russian" helmets?
And in the end the get that low octane russia gas.
@ They got all of it from the Land-Lease program.
@@dindinprivate3477 *Lend-Lease
Did the Soviets ever pay back on the Lend Lease?
Wonder if they took off on 3 engines???

Stettin? That's in Poland. Don't remember any bombing raids over there.
STETTIN WAS GERMAN POMERIANIA.
The city is in Poland now since the border was readjusted after WWII. It was German before.
STETTIN, a seaport of Germany, capital of the Prussian province of Pomerania, on the Oder, 30 miles from the Baltic, 83 miles North East of Berlin by rail, and at the junction of lines to Stargard-Danzig and Kustrin-Breslau.
Wow ! The producers should have cleared the script with you guys ....
The tank is a American is ascout tank
Henry Shaw Stuart tank the British called them a Honey in Africa and like them a lot
Soviets had plenty of donated US gear, vech and planes
Albert Salmi doesn't make a good German.
