Its hard to get excited for a new Warbond when we know the items we grind for may be nerfed.
I feel the same way. And most likely only one of the weapons are actually going to be usable to begin with.
Not only that, the fact the breaker is still better then most new weapons is also sad... Nothing is better then the anti-tank, anti material and breaker... :) how ever, i do my own balancing, i refuse to change my play style, so i just change difficulty everytime they nerf or buff something.

Warbond is not getting delayed. I just voted on the poll for it to release tomorrow and it was at 74% as opposed to 26% for the option to delay it.
A pack of apes is not going to vote for delayed gratification. This way the players can't push back afterwards since it was "player choice."

Deep Rock Galactic's approach to mods was embracing their modding community, lobbies are tagged whether they're using mods or not. For Helldivers2 it would probably be a toggle on the Galactic War map to show/hide missions using mods, either modded lobbies won't be tracked for the war or make sure mods are purely cosmetic.

I want the warbond tomorrow thats for sure, just finished getting medal capped for it. Also, since this last major patch, anyone else feel like they are getting at least 3x the amount of patrols even on lower difficulty when playing solo (which is a lot more than going from 1/6 to 1/4 as they said) and the AI seems to just always know where you are even when not alerted? I just can't get away from patrols, they spawn and immediately go to me even if I haven't shot once in the map, if I circle around them, I can watch on my mini-map as they do a 180 even though again, I haven't made any sound. I drug a patrol across the entire map, they were never in the alerted state, but constantly followed me. This kind of defeats the point of a sound system if the AI will just slowly track me the entire time anyway, sure they aren't running, but I can't engage any target without the 1-3 patrols following me getting involved. Even when I do the extraction I get overwhelmed with 5-6 patrols immediately spawning where as before it was usually 2-3 at a time and more can in, at least the cluster exists as that wipes out most of the little guys, but still a major increase in enemies. I have only tested this on T5 and t7 difficulties solo, but it seems like they either heavily buffed the patrols on accident or lied on their patch updates. đđ€

Killing over 1k enemies on difficulty 5. Absolutely insane.
600 bugs dead in EVERY challenging misssion solo, and I try to actively avoid too many fights so I can cover more ground. Iâm barely hitting 650-750 in a 4stack on suicidal+.
My duo friend is a few kore missions away from a table flip as every time we play we get swarmed and patrols spawn behind us then engage with hunters/missiles/machine guns from an area that was clear 5 seconds previous.
i agree the patrols are way to much. i was doing easy mode just to farm some SC for next warbond and i swear there were 3 patrols constantly following me but not engaging and if one got alerted the other 2 patrols joined in and i seen patrols spawn on top of me even tho there wasnt any enemies around this was on diff 7 in a 3 person squad with friends. and being able to finally play with my friends we normally are in a 3 person squad the enemies dont give any breaks in between killing patrols to call a resupply since our ammo got confiscated by the devs
@@ShinobiGunZ Ya, I switched to the Blitzer against bugs completely because of these ammo changes. Solo I'm constantly out because I'm the only one shooting and in groups it makes it easier for everyone to have some ammo off if at least one person is using an energy primary.

Regarding balance, what if chargers and Titans were dynamic to a mission like shriekers and stalkers are? I propose the addition of a web chart before dropping into a mission that shows enemy air, armor, large, spawns, and numbers. Is air presence high? The team should bring more lasers and air burst. Lots of armor? Bring arc and anti-armor. Are the enemy numbers out of control? Might be a good idea to bring the machine guns and corrosive strike to thin them out faster.
To condense a big idea down to a few sentences, if the enemy forces are dynamic, and doesn't always require dealing with heavy armor, we can better diversify our load-outs so as to not always rely on a meta cause the meta will change with each mission.

The devs could also see what planets/missions are actually getting played and figure out that getting swarmed by 5 bile titans and 8-10 chargers and dealing with chaff all at once just isn't fun.

Exactly, this game has more to it than just point and shoot. There are supply lines, Super Colonies, and the further you go from Super Earth, the harder the enemies become.
While not a hard rule, primaries and support weapons should be able to do one of two jobs very well. One is chaff clearing, so your lowish damage, high rate of fire, large ammo capacity and/or AoE/DoT weapons. Think the Breaker line of shotguns, flamethrower, Stalwart machine gun. The other is "threat removers", so low rates of fire but huge damage and tends to have low ammo capacity. I don't think I need to list examples of this outside of EATs. The issue that I see the community have and I share in their opinion is that certain weapons that are really good at one tends to get nerfed and in the case of the Eruptor, nerfed in a way so that it can't even do what it's intended to do. When you need to mag dump the Eruptor, a five shot, six magazine, bolt action so slow to fire weapon, into anything classified as "medium" to kill it, you've made it bad at it's one job. Related to this is actually the crossbow. The crossbow is suppose to be, on paper anyways, on part with the Eruptor. I mean, it is now, but that's not a good thing. The one thing the crossbow was good at was dealing with the numerous smaller threats when grouped up, but then they "balanced" it to be just for "medium" threats and it's just not good at that. I'm not saying they should make them one shot any non-chaff enemies, but they should be able to take down their intended target within three hits to the weak point at most.
The balancing manager has to get the axe aye. All he does is playing the whack on mole with whatever weapon is more used, therefore keeping every weapon mid to garbage.

I think the issue that is hurting helldivers 2 the most isn't the changes they have made it's that it is constantly changing, it seems like every other week they screw with everything. I haven't been upset by any of the changes but they change things so often that it feels like every time I figure out what I like they change it which is really frustrating.
it's very hard to find my roots again and Actually have some fun, when everytime i Actually have some fun with a weapon, or a planet in this game, LITERALLY THE NEXT PATCH they absolutely assassinate the weapon/stratagem/mission i enjoyed to make it as anti fun as possible.

Yall are over reacting. They are trying to balance the weapons to make it more tactical rather than just a dull point and shoot game. Hence why you have support weapons and strategems. Your primary isn't the only way to kill things.

It can be tough to find a groove and enjoy the game with how much they seem to scramble and struggle with âbalancingâ everything. As for the Warbond, I really like the approach of asking the community. They have to get Warbonds out, but didnât outright decide to delay it, which wouldâve made them look gun shy.

I think spray n pray should keep its dmg (or maybe increase by 10-15) and get it 15-20 extra rounds. Itâll be weaker than incendiary but itâll make up for it by living up to its name
9:31 TLDR: The Incendiary Breaker kills most of the Patrol over time, the Spray and Pray kills all the Lights immediately and leaves the Mediums and Heavies for other weapons. If you played with both, you would realize you're comparing apples to oranges. You can't determine balance from the descriptions page because those are only 4 stats out of over 50 for each weapon.
I liked running the explosive sniper with the flamethrower but now its terrible lol.
Sometimes my upgrades for my fire damage buff doesn't work when i join others too so it ruins both my guns of choice ha
In my personal opinion, I played with the raptor after the so-called Nerf. I think itâs fine. I still get the same amount of kills. If not, maybe one extra but I do think is that the quasar canon should have that five seconds taken off of it and making the reload times for other, main weapons like that is to decrease the reload time

I think mistake they're making is that these issues are hand in hand.
The game was fun and had a very strong aesthetic, but overtime balance patches have changed the core driver dramatically.
People eventually catch on and begin to dread the updates, desperately looking for what works and to experiment.
I'm quite sure that if the game can figure itself out of this balancing gutter, the communal focus will shift back into the immersive ecosystem.

9:46 the spray n pray ALSO canât hit a damned charger at 5 paces. Itâs cone of fire is utter insanity, at the least the vertical cone of fire needs to be 1/4 of the current value.
11:45 all you need is 3 seconds and a glance at the gun stats to see how utterly useless/cookie-cutter 75% of the weapons have become.
The standouts were butchered until they confirmed and all their unique features removed (slugger crate-break, Eruptor shrapnel and AoE, crossbow AoE, railgun had its heavy-pen removed for almost a month, spray n pray got itâs core stats handed to the incendiary (the the devs buffed fire procs).That doesnât take spreadsheets or an eye for detail if just takes a glance to see how the unique aspects were removed.
Quick tell on mods which cloud didn't really catch : modding any game whether online or offline is client sided, if I for example replaced the default helldiver armour with a mandalorian armour, only I would be able to see it, the random joining my game will just see *the default armour* I on the other hand if the random is wearing default armour too would look like a mandalorian as well as the mod modified my files to make that armour look that way.

I agree with the CEO. This began back with the original railgun nerf. The 'unsafe' mode should've kept the same damage profile. Otherwise, everything should be buffed to become equal to the same level of power rather than nerfing the railgun.
That and Arrowhead seems to have a particular hatred for anyone who plays the game solo and anyone who doesn't prefer the hardest difficulties.
In a game with so many slows and enemies, give us OP things. It still only gives us a fighting chance because of how outnumbered we are.
Balance changes happen, I get it, but the Eruptor was just handled really clumsily. You've got a slow-loading bolt-action weapon with a tiny magazine size in a game where there's 50+ enemies on screen at a time. It damn well better hit like a truck. So they half the number of magazines, increase the damage dropoff on the explosion to weaken it, and then also turn around and remove the shrapnel, give you the damage from a single shrapnel piece and say it's going to be a net gain, while also forgetting that you're completely relying on the explosion effect you just nerfed the dropoff on, and you wonder why it feels like dogcrap? How was this not readily apparent that it would suck? If you're going to make it take 3-4 hits to kill things, you can't tell us to run around with a 5 round magazine with a reload time after each shot and say it's fine. You've got to give us -something- here.

Yes it's lost players naturally as the excitement of a new game wears off but if you're referring to the Sony incident for the player count going down, looking at the charts - it did virtually nothing. It's still peaked over 100k on Steam alone
Nurfs and buffs I'm not worried about. There is enough weapon selection with more being added that I expect things will change over time. My concern is what do you do once you have everything and your maxed out on samples, requisition, metals, and levels? I have 400+ hours in the game so I got my money's worth, but that isn't my concern. I would rather have something to work towards earning than dive for a major order or daily orders and get 0 metals because I'm maxed. At this point I save super credits for the next warbond, and once I have them my incentive to play is gone.
To the nerfs and stuff I was starting to not have fun anymore cuz there was just no guns that felt fun. I almost quit playing but then I found the blitzer after buff and Iâm so hooked again

The ONLY change that is needed to the balancing philosophy, is what was said about changing stats other than damage. Fundamentally, the balancing is not a problem. The lack of balance is. If a specific weapon is used way more than others its gets a nerf. Simple as that. They don't always get it right, but more often than the players are saying. Especially considering that bringing every weapon up is a long term plan. The railgun was too strong. The slugger was too strong (no reason to use the punisher), the quasar was too strong, etc.
About the apparent "disconnect" between CEO's opinion and developer's actions: That's delegation. You've got multiple levels to make decisions. The CEO shouldn't have to sign off everything. So they can disagree and this can be for the better or worse between situations. So I don't see any problem there. đđ€
I agree with the Reddit post. This is a PvE game about spilling oil or squashing bugs. Weâre not doing raids, weâre not doing PvP, weâre simply diving into hell and killing stuff. đđ€ I totally agree on the fun aspect of the game being paramount. I tend to ignore most of stats and balancing of the game. There are millions of enemies thrown at you especially in the higher difficulties levels so an extra bullet in the mage of a more powerful hit will not make the difference. From my end I play the game for the chaotic fun and excellent combat systems it has. As long as I have fun I will play as I did with hell divers 1.

I feel like them asking if they should delay the warbound so close to the release is bad, they should have released it then asked if they should delay the next, even though, kudos to them to hesitate to engage more consumer's money while they are still discussing with sony about the whole account linking issue
I'd honestly like to see more full sized 10 page warbonds. Like a long term goal of 2 new full sized warbonds that is bought with req slips or something other than super credits as its not a premium bond. However I also worry adding to many warbonds may make the game over whelming for new coming players. The amount of medals it takes to afford everything is a bit of a grind and the newer you are the more you have to look forwards to instead of the rest of us who's been keeping up with the updates. đđ€đđ€

Honestly, best way to lets mods work in game and universe, VR setting. Allows mods to be used and not affect the game at all and can make sense in universe. Just let people know what it does and you can't get stuff like credits, medals, etc so its just a for fun thing đđ€

The balances force me to change up my strats and adapt, I enjoy though I understand why the balances can ruin the fun. I hope they release the warbond, as I see no problem with them releasing it. keep up the great updates. This is the best community I have been a part of as well. I love the balancing, do things get nerfed too far? Maybe, BUT I love looking at the small buffs and wondering, can I finally use this weapon? The answer is usually YES. Weapons that tend to be broken by nerfs seem to get fixed in a decent amount of time so Iâm ok with it. I am having more fun after this last major patch than I did before it.

It really does feel like their primary form of balancing is to cut the legs off anything that stands too tall while doing nothing to improve the guns that no one's using. They also keep adding new weapons that will become the new meta and then get nerfed.
Man I hope this game gets a lot better and the patches get betterđ€đ

Make all the primaries equally usable instead of two or three meta guns. On 7 to 9 u almost have to use the Breaker incendiary, Jar5, Scorcher, or Sickle, everything else is basically ineffective. Bigger mags for sure plus whatever else to open up more options. Slow down how fast the enemies can get off a reinforcement, and lengthen the cooldown for them a bit. The endless reinforce loop SUCKS! As soon as u hurl a strat into a base, or kill one enemy, they put up a flare or call a breach instead of callin for help cause they NEED it due to several casualties. And for Christ's sake fix the damn extract shitstorms, 90 second patrol spawns and the way the game works when u take out outposts. Especially for solo play so we can actually extract with rare/super samples more than once outta 10 or 15 missions(if at all)
Extraction should be easier if you take the time to weaken the enemies' numbers and it needs to make logical sense. Take out outposts to slow their ability to reinforce and send out so many patrols, and weaken their numbers so its not 50 to 1 plus chargers, BT's, spitters, Hulks, tanks etc at an extract that you cant go further than 50 meters from (which needs to be removed or made drastically larger) Taking out their outposts/fabricators/bug holes etc is fun, but makes it harder and harder the more you do so its basically sneak around, try to get the POI's without a reinforcement being called, complete the main obj and use up all the clock so u can kite enemies until pelican one shows up...
We seriously need Performance and Optimization fixes on PC, no balance or content updates.

The title CLEARLY states that the Warbond MAY, MAY, MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY get delayed. and he is right. Depending on the vote and how the devs react, the Warbond may indeed get delayed.

I Have over 100 hours on the Eruptor. Really sucks that the dev working on it is so adamant about it being solid. It really isn't now, it cant even deal with chaff. đđ€

I don't see all the point in the all the balancing. A couple times it made sense. It does not make sense to do it every week thereafter.
The whole meta chasing aspect is what finally drove me from Destiny 2 after 10 years.
Helldivers 2 is the most fun I've had in an online game since my first raid in Destiny 1. Now the sweats and meta elves are gonna run this community straight into the same cycle.
I just want to dive, spread democracy, and laugh with my fellow Helldivers.
They are "learning the meta" people stuff may be rocky time to time during updates....kinda like other live-service games.

đđ€I do want the warbond, but I wouldn't mind if its delayed, especially if it allows them to focus on a few bug and balance fixes. I honestly don't mind balances, because I hate metas and like lateral balancing (making things viable enough to be interchangeable and still do well), but it does feel like they are nerfing more than actual balancing--and I am getting frustrated with the CM's dismissals of our complaints about them (for instance: they seem to have changed their stance now, but the initial dismissal of us telling them that the loss of the Eruptor, despite the 40 damage buff, was frustrating). đ€đ
While new items are fun to chase, having the game well balanced and having the best "feel" in gameplay is what truly keeps me dropping in. đ€However, I still dream of a melee weapon class. Exo stomps are so much fun! đđ€
luckey for me i have friends that just have funn with the game, we take the weapons we like and never min max eney thing. ofcaus there are prefered weapons but still we manage to take a divers asortment of arms with us.đđ€
