    Controversial thought… maybe you’re it’s just user error? Because the devs have said many times, this game will never be a pay to win game. All guns are pretty balanced, and if you can finish missions on bots with the tools provided, maybe you should stick to bugs since they can’t shoot back? 😮 not even trying to be mean, just tired of everyone complaining about the game instead of enjoying it. It crashes, it’s buggy, it’s not perfect, okay? Go play COD? Go play destiny 2 or fallout 4 like everyone else. It’s a fun game, you’re not meant to be unstoppable. It’s a skill based game, not a “meta” based game.

      The nerds are heavy with removing 1/3 mag cap, lowering damage and increasing recoil for example and the buffs barely do anything with gun A gets 3% damage increase if it's a sunday and you are actively doing the hula.

    The Tenderizer is a « high caliber weapon » with reduced magazine capacity for that reason.

      This is the first Warbond I am not getting. I wanted to live out my Starship Troopers fantasy with the Tenderizer (that was also advertised as being mostly colored BLACK) and I expected at least medium pen with it, but it is just a worse Liberator. That Alexus guy needs to be fired & the CEO needs to take steps to bring fun back into the game, because it just isn't "fun" anymore..

      That sounds inconsistent. I killed one after it emerged from the hole with less than half the magazine, and a second one with slightly over half. I've had nothing but good things to say about the SMG since I got my hands on it, it keeps berserkers at bay and I don't have to stun a devastator if I can just keep the shield up and kill it. Rocket devs are another beast, though, but they're always gonna be a pain in the ass.
      Besides the grenade, rest of the warbond is kinda disappointing, but it doesn't really bother me. Payday 2 has like 50 guns that all do the same thing for each weapon archetype, part of it is just preference at that point.
      Probably worth noting I didn't spend money on this and bought it with found credits.

      The thing with Stalkers is that their face hitbox is kind of weird. If you hit just the right place they die faster (but good luck landing those shots consistently with how twitchy some of their animations and movements are).

      This is was my thought exactly, either they just forgot they buffed the stock Liberator or the gun was finalized before the patch that buffed the Lib. I even saw people mention that it WAS a previous test version we got, hence the green coloring instead of black. Which is just hilarious to think might actually be the reason it's the way it is.

      Here's an idea. They REALLY need to add melee. Go forward with the idea of armour sets built for specific biomes, faster through snow, mud, , maybe fire resist or chem immune after some more and better gas weapons, what have you, whatever etc.
      Muscle enhancer keeps the standard buff but ADDS huge melee dmg.
      I think that would be cool. I dunno.

      @@rkt1148 i also think that's a whole system which takes a great amount of planning and adjustments made across the board. they can not just implement melee and if they do it will be a very basic form thats just essentially an increases in damage and a new animation. the enemies currently aren't all designed to work well with melee to begin with so you'll def be waiting quite awhile. TLDR not soon and more work than you think for melee.

      I think the changes they made to the liberators and the marksman rifles have been good. I think nerfing the breaker was good. I think taking away ammo from the eruptor was good (I love that gun). Overall, I think a lot of the weapons changes have mostly been good. The most recent eruptor changes are bad, and what they did to the slugger doesn't make sense. It's not all bad, but these new guns just make no sense.

      ​​@@BrutalHamlet the issue is, instead of incentivising the use of other weapons through reloads or calldown time (like the ceo is saying), the balance team are nerfing what people like. Or buffing enemies so the playstyles people like dont work anymore like general bot accuracy and headshot buff after shield gen nerf, stalker explosion resistance nerfing all explosive weapons, hulk stagger buff nerfing all stagger effects like arc thrower. Flame thrower buff (thankfully walked back) insta killing players, etc.
      Also they need to do that 40 damage buff on the raingun.

    I like what you said “lots of options, but little choice.”
    We are almost certainly given the illusion of choice here. And not only that, but it’s as if they’re offering us several cuts of steak. We pick the medium rare steak “sorry you can’t eat that, it has pink” they proceed to cook it until it’s burnt. Then we take the medium well “uh oh, a few of those still have pink” they burn those too. Now we are left with a couple medium well steaks with no pink, and a good portion of well done and burnt steaks that nobody wants to eat.
    Don’t invite your players to a barbecue, and serve them only well done steak and pretend like that’s variety. Maybe I want some chicken, or sausages. Or heck, I’d take fruits and vegetables at this point. But I only get burnt or unburnt steak.

      its a better liberator in my opinion. Problem is, that the liberator is bad(my opinion, some folks like the lib) it has slight better handling wich makes it more accurate. But you also need to be more accurate becuase you have less ammo, but i think it's still a slight improvment over the lib

      @@lachskartoffel It's only better than the Liberator if you have spaghetti arms and can't handle its recoil. Once you learn to control the spray and tap targets at long range, the Liberator is statistically superior in both magazine capacity and DPS (since the tendy actually has a slightly lower fire rate).

      Likely more penetration. It is only worse if you compare paper data. Just like Xbox has more flops, and yet PS5 performs better.

    New Warbond is trash! The Tenderizer is worse than assault rifle we started with in the game.The Pummeler is worse than the other smg we've had since the game came out too. All these new guns are useless. They need to fire Alexus and the rest of their balancing team honestly. Watch them nerf the decent primaries in order to make these guns seem viable

Which is unfortunate because it's so nice having a game that allowed all players to unlock war bonds just by playing long enough.

      We have 2 sides to choose from (and it's painfully sad):
      1. Devs are using regular battle-pass system that requires you to spend real money
      2. Devs are allowing you to farm "premium currency"
      Seems obvious to choose option 2.
      But in option 1 devs probably have much more money to have a bigger team of devs/testers and to make much better 3d models/effects
      Second option devs like AH aren't dependant on players THAT MUCH. So they push their "vision", ignore players' feedback and test new weapons/missions with a small team for a shorter time.

    Someone on reddit showed that the Tenderizer is literally just an old version of the Liberator, it uses the old ammo system where you have 10 mags and a supply pack gives you 5 mags. Its not only a straight downgrade to the current liberator in every stat (except 5 recoil) but its just a copy paste of an older starting weapon. Very creative arrowhead.

    At this point, one has to think that the people working in balancing, especially lead balancing Alexus(the same lead balancing Alexus who was in charge of balancing for Hello Neighbor 2), are purposefully trying to tank this game based on jealousy or something else. Unless you are brain-damaged, there is no way these weapons should have been released in this state.
    For those that don't know, Hello Neighbor 2 was a really fun game about sneaking into your neighbor's house. You could hide under the bed, trick him, and do a lot of fun things. This is a very crude description, but you get the point. When Alexus got a hold of Hello Neighbor 2, he took away hiding under bed, took away fun tricks, made the game terrible. The game obviously tanked, and now this scumbag showed up as lead balance dev for Helldivers 2. If he is not removed, Helldivers 2 will be a cautionary tale about how if your lead balance dev runs rampant, he can singlehandedly destroy your game.
    He's had multiple chances to make things right, but all he's done is dig his heels in and embarrass himself every time he spoke by responding with nonsense. Eruptor nerf for example, he claims no breakpoints were changed. Clearly brain damaged as it only takes 2 minutes to prove that is wildly incorrect. Takes 3-4 shots where it only took 1 previously. No one asked him to nerf Eruptor, yet here we are. He is either acting with malicious intent, or is a complete idiot. Remove Alexus, give his job to the lowest of interns, and I can guarantee you the game would improve exponentially.

      At this point they should stop making warbonds for three months and have a team dedicated to bug fixing, while the other team focuses on making brand new passives and fixing the stupid weapon design choices. The Spear for instance has been bugged for so long (even though they promised that end of this month, it’s finally good to go) that I suspect they only tried it in a virtual white box/blank dev testing room with no environment and hordes blocking line of sight, with enemies T posing and staying still, that in this condition the weapon worked perfectly as intended. But not in the actual levels we are currently playing. That’s just an example.

    Ima be honest...I love Helldivers 2, I've put 265 hours in it in two months and now...I'm not really even playing anymore. I got bored. I've called them out for their poor balancing and poor implementation of new ideas and warbounds and got hate in the past but now here we are again. I feel like they missed the mark with basically avery single warbound released, and especially with content updates. They had an amazing opportunity to keep us engaged after the massive push of the community to defeat the Automatons and that was the perfect window to develope the story further and release the Illuminates, but instead they just brought them back like nothing mattered. Also, they leaked many future content, many of which has yet to drop...it was cool at first because we thought we would see those things very soon, but instead we're still waiting on the new mech, the vehicles, the Commando, the Nuke, the Carpet Bomb, AA airstrike and so on....a lot of weird decisions from the management team in my opinion.

      There's a difference between leak and datamine. Most of the stuff that's not in the game atm is stuff that isn't necessarily ready. Now is it not ready because it's not polished enough, or is it not ready because AH doesn't think it's their idea of fun is anyones guess.

      Yeah, right now for the past 2 weeks I've been in the same boat, I'm around 366 hours total and I just do not want to play anymore, they blew their load too soon and they made way too many mistakes and keep making more mistakes with their horrible balancing. Every bit of content that they release is not fun to play with or is for about 2 weeks then gets nerfed into the center of the earth. There is literally nothing to look forward to anymore, Destiny 2 was boring after a while but at least there was stuff to do. This game has the same missions every single time, the same 2 factions to play against for going on 3 months now and again the weapons are bad, and a lot of the stratagems are also bad or just not useful enough plus, very limited slots to use, 4 is just not enough.
      I hope that they can turn this around but at this point... I don't think that they can, they seem far too full of themselves and they have far too many echo chambers and zealots who tell them everything is fine.

    This Warbond is dog shit… they missed the mark so hard. The name “Polar Patriots” makes you think, “oh maybe the new armor has new perks, like allowing the cleats/ice spikes to negate blizzard slow, or stops you from sliding on ice”. Nope. Maybe the new weapons are good? Nope. Tenderizer is just a worse Liberator, the Pummeler has stun, and is cool, so that’s DEFINITELY getting nerfed. The final gun is just a worse Scorcher. What a fail, the “balancing” dev needs a new job.

They are naturally buffed when played on cold planets because they take more time to overheat in the game. That would make sense. Imagine if the laser weapons from helldivers 1 were here now: Tanto (1 handed gun) and the epic Trident (laser shotgun).

    Another important issue to note is that there's like this psychological dread to committing hours and money into new content for this game. I had 100+ hours since launch and loved it, but now find myself making excuses to not play. I would chalk this up to just being a personal thing, but my entire squad group feels the same way. When there's no guarantee the game will feel and play the way you enjoy from one week to the next because of regressive balancing, people simply move on and interest wanes... you said it best - this is how a game dies in slow motion.

    The game has lost a lot fun for me and my friend grp, and I noticed we were playing a lot less even with new content coming
    - All the loadouts my friends used to enjoy got nerfed to oblivion
    Instead of making underwhelming weapon better, they made good weapon underwhelming (so we just end up with less variety).
    The game is still easy as a 4man grp even on diff 9, we just get less tool to play with,
    - Solo playing has become exhausting with the patrol changes that still doesn't seem to work the way they intended it to (as we are getting 4man grp patrol timer, regardless of the number of players - when it used to be a different timer before depending on player count, this was tested by Luchs and has a YT video about it)
    I really hope they bring back the railgun and the quasar, so we can have a lot of multiple loadouts, even at higher difficulties : amr/any backpack, autocannon, quasar/any backpack, railgun/any backpack + better primaries.
    The railgun was supposed a high risk high reward weapon, but it's just a weapon that can kill you while doing less damage than the AMR or the Autocannon anyway.
    All the nerfs are narrowing down the tool we can use, when players just want variety and replayability - being gaslighted about it by the devs on discord is beyond obnoxious.

    I genuinely don't understand how the FIFTH warbond still has light armor primaries... who is this for?
    Massive ammo capacity is mandatory as the tradeoff for doing no damage against 75% of the enemies, yet we got another very low mag size AR. Why?
    No more light armor primaries unless they're heads and shoulders above the ones we currently have.

      A grenade stole the show from 3 new armors and weapons. That should not happen.

      That's kinda apples to oranges to be fair... The Verdict can dump rounds WAY faster than the Senator, reloads quicker, and lets you carry way more bullets overall. It isn't the same niche as the Senator, it's not really fair to compare them like that.
      It more closely competes with Peacemaker and Redeemer, which are both for handling light targets. In that niche, its actually really solid.

But tbf, they released an event more cool looking one in the superstore with finally some sort of camo pattern on it, about time for a game with a lore that pretends to be militaristic. That said it’s a heavy armor and the warbond itself seems like it’s more geared towards bots (well except for the damn assault rifle). Problem: we are currently focusing massively on terminids.

    I think polar patriot should have Light/Medium/Heavy armor with the passives "Snowshoes: Movement in deep snow is increased" and ""Winter Camoflauge: Decreases range at which you can be detected in the snow." Like they're minimum contrast gear for a snowy environment. It only makes sense that they could, for example, have wider shoe bases to spread your weight out, preventing you from sinking so deeply into the snow if it's meant for SNOW combat, and if they're all white colors to blend in, then it makes sense for it to be harder for enemies to spot you and lower their chase/leash radius. It would also be a distinct buff specifically for snow environments so it wouldn't overlap with the general reduction of the scout armor.

    When you compared the jar5 dominator to the eruptor, something else you should keep in mind is that the jar5 dominator technically has twice the amount of damage the eruptor does and its magazine. I'd love to understand how that's balanced, especially after the Nerf to the Eruptor

      The MS booster does work, but only reduces the slowed time by about a second, maybe 1.5 seconds. Tested on bile spew etc. It works, but meh

      Frankly, it's also a borderline placebo against the things it does work for.
      The hunter/spewer slow is extremely annoying since it messes with how your character handles, but it's usually not even that deadly if you know how to dive out of it and when to stim. Most of the time what actually kills you is hunters stagger-locking you with a melee combo, or the spewers one-shotting you with the spray because you didn't see them or dove in the wrong direction.

    Winter warrior passive:
    1.Snow doesn’t slow you down as much
    2. Enemies detection range decreased by 40%( blending in snow)
    Alternatives passives:
    1. better accuracy (you don’t shiver when cold)
    2. have better grip on ice (spikes on shoes)
    3. Run faster and slide farther after diving on ice (spikes on shoes again)
    4. Better incendiary damage ( put hand warmers in the guns(AH love fire damage))

We've gotten 3 extra warbonds to expand the number of things we can choose, but every one of them seems to have resulted in narrowing down the ones we can actually use if we want to have a good time.

      That would imply Alexus is capable of buffing weapons which is great, he probably never worked on R6S with Ubisoft. But jokes aside, they can clearly do things good on first try (Grenade Pistol, Dominator, Scorcher, Autocanon, Arc Thrower almost, EAT, Laser Canon, Eagle Strikes). The other side of the coin is that Alexus is also capable of ruining the Eruptor, Crossbow, Railgun and normal Breaker.

    2:42 Not sure about headshots, but bodyshots with the Pummeller do stun devastators. Berserkers for sure; I pushed back berserker swarms with it in my first test of it. However not every shot seems to stagger them or the other devastators, more like a 50% chance to stagger and it does nothing if it deflects off the armor. It might take 2 or 3 bodyshots to stagger which, for a low ROF weapon like the Pummeller, can be kind of annoying. But it absolutely does stagger them.

      We've gotten several stratagems, weapons and new enemy and mission types. I get that the 2 most recent warbonds have been a letdown (partly due to nerfs and partly to the weapons being underwhelming out of the gate), but let's not exaggerate the issue and start acting like it's the end of Helldivers 2. Unless you meant the last 2 weeks, which is still a fairly short timeframe.

      Increased factory strider spawns (they were already in the game)
      Raise the flag mission (Already was in the game)
      Airburst launcher (Unfun and very bad imo)
      2 new missions (the defense one is actually alright, but the deactivate tcs one isnt very unique or creative)
      New warbond (Every weapon is a direct downgrade and copy of already existing ones, while the grenade is a carbon copy of an already existing grenade and the booster is just a worse muscle enhancement)
      1 new biome (the acid worlds are alright but its just another open field, nothing really new)
      New Armors (Which all have recycled passives, literally zero new passives since cutting edge, a lot of them r just recolor too lol)
      Can you see why it feels dry? Most of it recycled content or just bad

      @@catodes1295 Bruh, that's because fire damage got 2 buffs during the time that DoT damage didn't work at all if you weren't host, and the fire weapons themselves got buffs during this time as well. All this was during the time that fire DoT straight up didn't work for 3/4 of every lobby, so they're super overbuffed now that fire DoT works, and EVERYONE knows that they're going to nerf fire soon.

    I understand that the decision to nerf the breaker was probably made to diversify the gameplay, but considering the number of guns available now, if they were all balanced, we could possibly have the breaker's ammo capacity restored. It's the only shotgun I enjoy using apart from the incendiary shotgun.

    Snow themed armor that can walk through snow and not slip on ice.
    Deagle that can function as a one-handed weapon, but goes akimbo when not carrying a shield or SSSD.
    A heavy AR that lives somewhere between the basic ARs and the MG support weapon.
    These are things that would have been cool and new. Instead we got more of the same.
    I'm actually baffled that aside from the arc armors, we have gotten no new armor passives. We have now had 3 premium war bonds added to the game, but only one new, extremely niche armor passive added. A damage resistance passive that only protects us from ourselves as there are no enemies that use electric weapons, lmao.

    Even before the Snoy screw up I stopped playing Helldivers since April 22 due to the Nerfs alone. Every time I see a new weapon in a video at work and plan to work my way towards it on my day off I see another video showing it got nerfed to the ground before I could get it.

    PSA TO ALL SOLO PLAYERS:
    The Redditor gergination, the guy responsible for the amazing post and video that analyzed how patrol spawns work, has released a new video showcasing that patrol spawn rates are the same regardless of group size across all difficulties. This change was made with the recent patch that affected patrol spawns for non-full groups. As it stands in the game, a solo player on helldive will experience the same amount of patrols spawning as a full team on helldive.
    Not sure if I can link another video on CZcams, but the video showing this is titled "Patch 1.000.300 Patrol Changes - Helldivers 2" and it was uploaded by the channel Luchs. As a solo player, seeing this shit felt so validating and infuriating.

    I hate how the devs say we can’t have transmogs on armor yet continue to add armor that is exactly the same. Kodiak armor is exactly the same as democratic detonation heavy, light armor is the same as the default light armor from the first war bond, there’s only like 5 perks in the game. How can you not allow players to just pick the perk for the 3 classes of armor when the armor is literally only cosmetic as it currently stands

      A light bullet is still a light bullet, regardless of how powerful the powder gets in it. That's the reason everyone's not carrying around heavy-shredding machine guns, is because the ammo has to be bulky and absolutely bloody heavy. That's why it's reserved for support weapons, as nobody can carry around enough heavy piercing ammo to also fight a horde at the same time, unless they were a supersoldier in a powered exoskeleton like Master Chief (and even then it's a question of how to store all that gear in a way that can be easily accessed for reloading)

      frankly, heavy armor is for support weapons, not for primaries or secondaries. If there's a primary that can kill heavy armor, then it has to be very clunky to use.... like eruptor was supposed to be.

    The devs are slowly killing their game. The warbonds bring nothing new, the past 3 have had (at best) one good gun. Every update adds more and more bugs, but instead of slowing down to fix them, they keep releasing more content, and more bugs. The balance is terrible, and it seems like they don’t even tests their game (new ship modules simply not working, at all). Players seem caught up in the whole “finally a good live service game” to realize that at this rate there will be 2 usable primaries, and the game will be nigh unplayable.

    The problem I have is there’s no creativity, I think that premium weapons shouldn’t be stronger, but instead be interesting. The issue is that all the weapons feel like free weapons that have no special mechanics. This is an ice themed warbond and yet the only thing ice themed is the armors are white

    You’d think with the recent community issues around balancing, this would have been a decent drop. But one thing I thought of is, I work in game dev, future content for live can be in progress several months ahead of release date, although it seems to be tighter at Arrowhead. I think my point is the community feedback probably hasn’t affected this release. Hopefully better to come, along with patches for previous Warbonds.

    I agree that one-shotting chargers with an eruptor is excessive. With that said, the "exploit" was that players were unintentionally consistently doing more damage with the eruptor due to more shrapnel hitting the charger belly.
    My question is, how the hell did they not think players would do that? Of course a larger target area would mean more shrapnel hits, so of course players would aim at the bottom of a charger's fat ass. And the fix for this was to replace the "random" 100 shrapnel with a consistent 40 damage explosion, which sounds good on paper if the eruptor only exploded into a single bit of shrapnel. It doesn't, yet the balance team somehow thinks a single 40 damage is *better* than a cluster of 100 damage shrapnel.
    That's like saying you're buffing a shotgun's pellet consistency by replacing it with a pistol.
    Whoever's in charge of the game's balance team needs to sit down and ask themselves what they're actually doing.
    edit: Also, the only major buff patch I can think of that really shifted opinion on a weapon, to the point where I see it constantly, is the Jar-5 buff. You know, the one where they nerfed the slugger, then buffed the Jar-5 to basically be a better slugger?

Literally time anybody found something fun, he'd step on it, and he's apparently also the guy who objected against the idea of hiding under/inside objects in a stealth game.

    I still firmly believe what I've been saying since the start of this game: there needs to be less updates. They clearly can't handle so many updates so often, and while it's good we get content, it's weighed down heavily by most of it being bad. They need way more downtime between stuff than they currently do. They need to catch up on all of the bugs and crashes and actually making shit fun or useful.

When this game was released it was the most fun co-op shooter since the early days of Overwatch, and now I feel like I’m paying extra just to push bugs around the map with premium explosive brooms.     The new booster is the epitome of "create a problem, sell the solution". Everyone's been complaining about the overuse of slow effects that are ruining the feel of the game, so naturally AH does nothing to fix that and instead creates a bandaid that makes those effects slightly less awful.

      Except it's more of a placebo than actual solution. Honestly, all boosters in general fall into that definition, especially those that are impactful like having full supplies on spawn or more stamina. They are bandaid solutions to problems that could have been solved by dealing with reasons in the first place.

      What’s crazy is they haven’t even pumped out any content. All these major orders/new missions and stratagems were almost guaranteed to have been made before the game released because you couldn’t make all that fast enough if it was on the fly. Also with them saying before launch we’d get 1 warbond per month you’d have to think that at least a few of the premium ones were already made. Hell the planets are even procedurally generated

    Still my biggest gripe of the last 2 warbonds has been that there's no new armor passive. It's such an under-utilized system and when you have such a strong theme like Polar Patriots you GOTTA give us something cool to work with. Movespeed in snow, no slide on ice, no fire rate reduction on cold planets... hell make it so snowballs do damage or stagger/stun.
    I trust they'll eventually get around to buffing the weapons but I really do hope they find the time to spice up armor passives eventually.

    Regarding the Eagle pistol, the starting sidearm has a higher (DPS) and a faster reload time. The developers seem to be afraid of being accused of creating a pay-to-win game, even though I can easily earn enough in-game credits to purchase two Warbonds without having to grind for them directly.

      It's only gotten better with age, at first I would say it was worth it just for the Sickle and stun grenade, but now the Plasma Punisher is really solid and the Arc Blitzer is at least a fun novelty, only weapon that's truly still meh in that Warbond is the laser pistol. Honestly the first two warbonds have only gotten better and better, while the recent ones just don't give good value.

    I was really holding out hope for the Purifier. Given the charge up and fire rate you would expect it to be a heavy hitter like the eruptor (even in its current nerfed state).
    But it does almost the same damage as a single scorcher shot!? When factoring in fire rate that's like 30% of the DPS of the scorcher. It's unusable!
    WHO is making the decisions about how powerful these weapons should be?

      I would love to see some new longer linear campaign style operations. Where there is some persistent bonuses for completing missions within the operation. This would spice things up and give us more reason to complete operations rather than just pick favorite missions.

    Regarding SMG + Shield: One handed weapons have two more uses. You can fire them behind you while running and you can carry the SSSD and still use your primary. If people want that, this might be for them.
    But I agree that it needs to do something that the defender isn't doing already.

    Devs are definitely lost in the sauce with balancing. I think they're forgetting that the game needs to be FUN for people to continue playing. My entire friend group lost interest like 2 months ago because bots were too ridiculous and majority of weapons were pretty lame. Maybe I'll get them to check back in a year to see where the game's at. Too many other fun games to play especially as a group instead of getting frustrated in this game

    Yeah I loved the eruptor, used to oneshot stalkers and made it a lot easier when they were chasing you, but now it takes about 3 ish shots to take one down and saying they are generally attacking you in groups and the long wait between shots it feels terrible compared to pre-nerf.

    "Resistant to winter environmental effects slowing the helldiver's movement" + "Shoot faster in colder environments." (From memory they slow F.R) OR + " faster cooling/reload on weapons" the idea is your body is warm enough to not be influenced by the cold or the obstacles so your reload is slightly faster. Maybe no more than 10% or 15%.

    I was thinking the exact same idea. I love some of the weapons in this game. I also love the visuals and have favorites. I also don't want the devs to nerf the weapons that I use, so I feel like I can't ever congratulate the devs for making any weapon in the game and say that it feels really good because the devs might hear that praise and nerf/ruin any weapon that I find enjoyable.

    I think the main difference between the demolition warbond and the polar, is that no matter how over or underpowered they might have become...the demolition warbond at least has the 'concepts' of potentially interesting weapons, while the polar weapons are just mostly very obvious as to what they would become.
    Demolition had a DMR that could flick over to full-auto, a sniper rifle for a primary weapon, but it also had explosive ammo, and a crossbow, again, with explosive ammo. Oh, and almost forgot, a grenade pistol that we "hoped" would be another way of dealing with bug-holes/fabs. Theres a lot of ways those weapons could be really cool or really lame, but the "potential" for those concepts makes them fun to speculate.
    Now for the polar set? A "high caliber" rifle right after they converted the Adjudicator to being essentially a high caliber rifle. A concussive SMG, when nobody uses the concussive weapons nor the SMGs, so why would anyone use this. The pistol just looked like it would either be a "side-grade" or lower caliber version of the revolver. And finally, the only weapon with potential--a weapon that seems to be a mix of the Eruptor, Scorcher, Punisher Plasma, and the Arcthrower (I actually thought it was going to be single-shot reloads, kinda like the Railgun, but obviously have WAY higher damage than what we seemed to have gotten). The incindiary impact grenade is an example of a weapon we 'want', but is an example of the weapon having "no imagination" that could be applied to it. We knew exactly how it would work the moment it was mentioned--which is 'fine' once you get the weapon, but not so great when the rest of the pack is lacking imagination too.
