What awkward or embarrassing moment has happened to you?
Too many to count
Some how everything 😂😂😂 I guess I am an awkward person 😅😂
This is actually legendary
All but The last one 😂😅😢
The no passy passy happened to me in Church. It was so awkward because I'm a guy and the person who wouldn't let me pass was a girl my age! #superembarrassing
Worst feeling about “The no compriendo” is when you ask a third time and they say never mind.
Exactly! I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me.
I know I hate that :((
omg that’s the worst
and then you wanna know so badly what they were going to say, sadness
lmao so I often give up for telling them to repeat....
The "put on standby" one is hilarious and perfect. It happens every time I go on a walk with my grandpa, because he always talks for half an hour with everyone he knows while I stand awkwardly behind him and remain silent.

omg my grandpa is jUSt the same!!!xD
The worst part is that I've experienced *every single one* of these.
I feel pity for you man🤣
But the frogs are dying
Me too
Same, all the time.
We all did
The worst about the "Bye bye, actually not" is when you don't ask in what direction they're going to and you end up trapped.
Happened to me in an elevator once… not fun. Time stopped
So you don't go in the same direction maybe ? Lol. It's mostly to avoid these extremely awkward situations. It can also be a way to be friendly before ending a conversation. You have to be a frickin paranoïd to see it that way...
*Originally in response to someone who asked why you would ask someone in which direction they're going cause it could sound intrusive, and who deleted their comment.*
Purposefully walk in a different direction even if it will take longer just to make it less awkward XD
The pass one
“The handshake knucky” has happened to everyone at least more than once before and it’s beyond awkward.
Not to me lol
Yes and covid made it even worse xD
Nope not me.
I basically never handshake anyone so that's not true for me lol
@@WhiteCranK ya exactly 😩
The "put on standby" hurts the most while the "Bye bye, actually not" is the most akward
Edit: Christ on a bike how did we get here?! Guess that's what happens when you are early to a video. I would plug my yt but ngl that's seems pretty scummy, don't be afraid to ask if you're interested tho B)

@@maskedsunflower2647 I don't think people do in on purpose but they just forget that they have to introduce you so that you can be together Ina conversation.
@@noahbohlin5462 No, many do it on purpose.
There were 2 playboys in my grad course who used to do this, whenever a girl used to pass by, I became invisible for them.
These guys did not do anything remarkable in their lives, one of them shifted near my place, and now I pretend that I don’t even know him, the look on his face is priceless 🤣
Forgot to include that awkward walk to ur friend when u see each other from far away
Relatable
For me it's the anticipation I like it lol
I'm all **where do I put my eyes**
And when you forget the persons name
also when someone is waving and you think they're waving to you but they're actually waving to someone behind you. it's happened to me SO many times, it's embarrassing.
True!

Yess! And I never learn, either. I still wave back to complete strangers 😂
Sooo awkward and happens way too often!
This is so true. I've had this happen so many times, so once an acquaintance of mine waved at me, but I didn't think they would recognize me, so I looked behind me. It was so awkward.

“But the frogs are dying.”😂

I lost it at “the no passy” 😂
(That’s happened a couple times to me too!;)
Happens all the time for me. I have come to the conclusion that I have to be wired differently hehe. I think that I always start by turning left, and most people, who come from the other direction, they turn right so it's always wrong. Most people will turn right, is that your opinion too?

I cannot tell you how many times this has happened to me. It's annoying for the people it's happening to, but hilarious for the people watching.
czcams.com/video/cYa_EwBFIYk/video.html
Yeah, I have done it a couple times though only once has it ever gotten as bad as the video. We like were doing it for 2 mins just trying to get past each other.
I used to do this walking home from school. I guess I never particularly stuck to one side of the pavement and I wouldn't think about passing people until the moment came. Awkward
Woah! Yikes!
I was at a gas station and there was an angry looking jacked guy who gave me a look and I tried avoiding him and then I do what they did in the video when we left -_- I hope he didn't think I was trying to do that
Life flashed before my eyes in one minute
"Put on standby" happens to me ALL THE TIME, and it hurts when I'm talking about something I'm really passionate about to my bestie and then she just cuts me off to greet a random person she's friends with but I don't know. Like, dude, this is exactly why I don't waste my time talking anymore.
It sucks right
@@bhaveshgupta7816 It really does 💀
@TurboGamer Honestly a lot of things, but back when I wrote this comment it was kpop. Not anymore though, but I still got a thing for kdramas (mostly series about crimes and stuff), and that's something that a ton of people dislike so I'm mainly alone when I obsess over a series cause I can't talk about it with someone so yeh. But, the thing is that, when I do talk about them (and other things too), people just interrupt (maybe it's not on purpose because I make a lot of pauses while I talk so maybe people think I'm done) or just ignore whatever the heck I'm talking about and talk about the things they like. I get it though, I can be annoying and I have a hard time shutting up, but instead of being so rude, I think there are nicer ways to shut someone up or like help them summarize things instead of shutting them up. Idk dude but it makes me feel like sh!t when someone tells me to stfu already, so, to avoid that, I just try to shut myself up so that no one had to deal with me 💀
@@ThatlilrayofSunshine That's why when someone's talking to me, I read them, and if I notice them being passionate about what they're saying, like they're getting animate, shiny eyes and all, if someone interrupts me, I'll completely avoid the interrupter. If it's inevitable, I'll tell the person who was talking to me that I'll be getting back to them, and will do so as soon as I'm finished. Gotta do it, there aren't many people left who's passionate about something.
@@ThatlilrayofSunshine don't ever stop talking about things you like with others ever. Nor stop sharing your passions with others too. Make sure to find out the interests of others also though but never be afraid to be chatty. You have a voice and it's as valid as anybody else's on this earth.
Your friend should introduce you and say something like " oh hi Kelly, great to see you. This is Jenifer...*

@@pianosauce5809 And then I think about that moment all day feeling embarrassed
His facial expression when he became standby was priceless 🙂🙂
There are actually really easy counters for all of these.
For the Handshake Knucky, just commit to one of them. And same with the No Passy Passy. Commit to going to one side.
For everything else, just stay inside and avoid society.
Can’t commit to one side if you’re both going the same side
What If both people decide to stick to one for the handshake knucky and No Passy Passy? Then as you change the other person does too and makes it more awkward?
The, "just stay inside and avoid society" sounds like it would work though.:)
For the No Passy Passy, now I just stop and point which direction I'm going next. Works every time and the other person usually looks relieved!
Ooh! Ooh! I've got a few more.
Put on standby - if you're put on standby, try and chime into the conversation (takes a lot of practice); if you're the one putting someone on standby, involve them in the conversation
Bye bye not - Try and ask where they're going at the beginning of the conversation
No compriendo [sic huehue] - Walk up to the person to hear them better...or learn ASL 😂 Both require extra time but are worth it!
Guilt trip Nancy - if time allows, hear them out. I've had some good conversations and have learned some cool things from people advocating for causes on the sidewalk
For the rest of them? Yeah, just stay inside and avoid human interaction 😂💀
I recently had painfully long battle of will, where we both tried that, and one committed to fistbump, and one committed to handshake.
Daniel's eyes and expression in the "put on stand by" just cracked me up. being a nice polite guy just waiting to be introduced.
The bots are after you
I've been through these awkward moments before, especially "The Oopsy Talkie." 🤣
Totally, me too!
1:10 happens all the time with me lol
I've experienced all of these things. Another awkward thing is seeing someone you recognize and calling out or waving to them, then realizing they're a total stranger and you're just a weirdo.
There's also the pretending they don't know you or don't notice because they actually don't want to be friends anymore 😭
Happened to me today and I was hoping to see it here
That last one you said happens to me a lot
I once approached a friend who was sitting in the cafeteria eating fries. I came up from behind so I couldn't see his face. I then took one of his fries from behind in a way to "surprise" him. When he turned towards me, I realized it was totally random dude. It was so embarrassing, I just giggled like an idiot and walked away.

The “Bye bye, actually not” really got me! It happens all the time… 🤣
That's when you just scope an alternate route, like walking in the parking lot while he takes the sidewalk.
@@realrickyshea totally, and after a passionate goodbye 🫂, that's awkwardness to the max!
@@realrickyshea lmaoo I've actually done that before to escape the awkwardness of walking the same path as the other person after saying our goodbyes..the bye bye actually not happens to me too often 🤣
I usually just slowly walk to the direction I would leave to test if he would follow and decide if it is a bye bye spot
That's why i started asking people where they parked first before saying goodbye.
That time when he went to the toilet and the man shouted "I'm in here!!!" made me laugh for the whole day while I still remember it
One time as a custodian I was cleaning the men's room and someone came in to use it. I meant to say something about "I'm cleaning don't come in" or "bathroom closed" but what I (as a female) actually said was "in use." 😆 The guy left, but came back because he was so confused.
Another time cleaning the men's room, I'm finishing up and a guy just walks in, then notices me, and asks if he can use the urinal. NO, get out. The bathroom's closed. It was early in the morning, so I don't think he was fully awake, but I put the cart in front of the door for a reason.
The high five skippy is always the most common awkward momment 😂😂😂😂😂
1:11 😂 Not knowing what he said and just said “ok”
Really so relatable
I’m surprised you didn’t do the “when you think someone is waving at you but they’re waving at someone behind you”
That's the 1st one bruh
@@aperson7303 kind of but not exactly, the first one is about a high five but I’m talking about when you wave not high fiving
Similar enough concept but I get what u mean. I've waved back far too many times to count even when I didn't know them and was confused only to see that the person was behind me.
@@TheRealBoeJiden true. I was thinking 'yeah it's the same thing's but then I realized it's different, but it's based on like the same premise

So so so so so relatable 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
Or the first one that could be interpreted in 2 ways:
1) The dude thought he was saying hi to him so he raised his hand up to high five only to realize he was saying hi to someone else.
2) The dude saying hi was actually saying hi overly enthusiastically in order to overcompensate for not caring enough to actually stop and talk. (I've done this.)
That uncomfortable smile during the put on standby 😂
that "bye-bye actually not" very relatable
You forgot when the waiter says “enjoy your meal” and you say “you too!” Lol
What if the Life is just a simulation where awkward moments are just bugs waiting to be fixed?
Our life is actually Matrix or Truman show that's collapsing and these moments I always find funny, feeling like we are humans with funny moments, not robots with instructions and rules, except stand by.

Talkie Oopsy happens to me more than the average. I'm always eager to talk to people, and it's so awkward when you realize that person isn't talking to you. On the bright side, I have made accidental friends through this situation 😅

The way he says dying lololol 😂😂😂
I felt so ashamed when the other one was yelling and the other one answered okay cuz that happens to me way too often!!!
As an introvert, these are EXACTLY the reasons i dont go out and talk to anyone
The solution to the handshake knucky is to just slap the other persons knuckle (or punch their palm) and laugh about it. It changes what would be an awkward moment, into a funny one and also helps breaking the ice. This has saved me a couple of times before.
Going in the same direction after saying goodbye that's very awkward. I relate 💀
"But the frogs are dying!" I felt that on a spiritual level. 😢
The guilt though!😂😂😂😂
oh is it the guilt? couldn't figure out what/who was awkward in the last clip. it's annoying, uncomfortable and inconvenient maybe but thought if anything it'd be awkward for the person asking for things. it might be a function of how passionate the person is, hard to care if they don't seem to believe in their own message
“But the frogs are dyING!” 😂🖤👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You forgot when your friend is giving you a hug but you miss the cue and give them a handshake😭 (or the other way around)
The "goodbye" or "have a nice day" only to proceed to walk with each other for a good minute in awkward silence is too real
The Oopsy Talkie is the most awkward one for me. I can't put into words how much shame is driven into me when I do this.

People
this is why us introverts hate going outside.
I love how they made it even more awkward than normal
Few things in life are as perfect as Daniel's videos.
The put on standby is just so truee
The handshake knucky keeps me awake at night for a couple of days whenever it happens
i've taken the habit of just ignoring people/pretending i don't see/hear/notice them unless they loudly repeat my name, look specifically at me or, you know, start frantically waving a hand in front of my face to get my attention to avoid the first two scenarios. it works :)
i also always walk either very far to the right or very far to the left once i see another person even remotely coming my way to avoid the "no passy passy". also works :)
it's funny because i started doing this as well to avoid getting into awkward situations but i was told that i was too unapproachable/cold or inattentive .... guess you just can't solve it all 😅
the thing about moving to the side ahead of time works a lot though!
czcams.com/users/shortsv6l196HUVa4
Or you know, the easier fix...when you think someone is addressing you in public see if you recognize them first before you respond.
I also make sure the person coming my way has more than enough room to walk past me so they can also be not too close to me. But I still don't know what facial expression to use all of a sudden whenever I walk up to or pass by someone, so I'm either looking really awkward or I make sure to stare straight ahead and keep a ghostly stare.

The "No Compriendo" happens to me constantly at work. I work at a Truck Gate for a big company, so we get a lot of truckers that need to come in, so we process them. All the time they talk to me while their loud-ass truck is running and I can only make out maybe 50% of what they say. Has led to some awkward moments lol.

That's what happens at work during phone or video calls. It's not my ears being bad (although I was deaf as a kid), I just can't consistently identify words in spoken sentences. Back when I had to do the phone central at work. I literally understood nothing, asking 20 times for the name etc., not knowing what they actually want and with whom they wanted to talk.
