  • The annual Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Steam Railway's steam gala called the Cotswold Festival of Steam had the usual theme to the gala - Built in Swindon.
    No less then 7 locos built in Swindon ran over the route with a few returning from overhaul and restoration, and that leaves out the Merchant Navy wasn't built in Swindon but starred in the gala as its first from a major restoration.
    Visiting locos was formed of two from Great Central Railway with being BR 9F class no.92214 and BR Ivatt 2MT class no.46521 whilst the last and third visiting loco came from Severn Valley Railway of the Manor class no.7812 Erlestoke Manor.

    GWR 4200 class no.4270
    GWR 2800 class no.2807 - running as 2808 on the Saturday only
    GWR Modified Hall 6969 class no.7903 Foremarke Hall - returning to steam after 2 1/2 years of overhaul
    At the end of the video there are a shot of the Toddington Narrow Gauge line too!
