Just another day for me do to my depression but then I saw this was uploaded and I got so genuinely happy because I love this show so much & I just love hearing you talk Kev you always put a smile on my face even if it only last the duration of the video. Thank you for being you good sir & thank you Marc for being yourself as well because this show wouldn't be what it is without him imo. Thanks again guys for lifting me up!

20:15 It appears like the guy was lying. The Duffer Brothers apparently have prove that they were working on a "Montauk" project since November 2010 and they also denied having discussed a project with him.
Montauk as a word is also associated with a specific urban legend. It is about as suspicious as the Jersey Devil being in multiple, similar stories. There are novels, stories and documentaries that use the word that predate both things, so it is not really a clear indicator of anything and is certainly not damning.
Worth mentioning he might not have been lying, but he did withdraw from the case this month (May of 2019) after seeing proof that they have had their "Montauk project" since at least 2010. So he might not have been lying as per his understanding of it, he might have honestly felt they stole his ideas, which is not as original as we would like to think (as they kind of cover in this, the show is revolutionary, but it is not actually that original it just feels like it is. How they are choosing to tell the story is more original than the story itself).
The Q and A part makes me tune out every time.

IT HAS A 95% ON ROTTEN TOMATO , and not to mention the best cast of any marvel show by far. Bite the bullet and finish the show, Mark, or at the least Wikipedia the books, so you know what you're getting yourself into.
@@ryanallen863 It does have a pretty awesome cast, but it does not have "the best cast of any marvel show by far", that is just gross exaggeration. Every Netflix Marvel show has had a great cast and been near perfect (I liked Iron Fist, but there were probably better options there, most of the problems were with not enough time to train and director choices rather than casting problems). It is a very different kind of show though, it starts to be like The Wire, where a season is really an essay making a critique on human existence, in this case rather than the human organizations that we are part of the essays are about mental health. Also curious as to what you mean by "the books", he is an X-Man character that has been in a bunch of comics over the last 30+ years, nothing really hits what the show is hitting. The Legion series that has come out concurrently with the show is completely unrelated in story, but also in tone and purpose.

They're not perfectly in-line, but from entire episodes where David and Blindfold are running from one of his personalities to the cinematography vs the books' art.
Creator, Nick Hawley, took a ridiculous amount of risk when he put this together, and the biggest one was hoping the audience wanted to think as much as they wanted a unique adventure.
Legion is a brilliant show.

Kevin and Marc answered that big man's question rather well i'd say. the DCEU doesn't need or require a hard rebooting but a minor semi-rebooting with films that aren't so universe building would be good for them i think. Warners just needs to focus on doing separate movies with minor connections to one another, with Aquaman in the can, Shazam filming with Wonder Woman 2 and Batgirl/Gotham Sirens in pre-production. Work on those before building up to another Justice League team up down the road and make solid solo DC films prior. While making sure Man Of Steel receives its long overdue sequel so Henry Cavill can honor his contractual obligations finally make more use of his Superman contract.
But have movies like; Flashpoint, The Batman, Cyborg and Green Lantern Corps still on the DCEU production slate of upcoming movies. And don't change'em around too much. Lessen the budgets of these huge DC films and work on character building solo movies first. Before planning major team up movies like a; Justice League sequel or epics like The New Gods films until everything is more worked out in the long run etc's. And bloody get rid off Michael Bay and don't have his name anywhere near a potential Lobo DC movie at all.

I think one reason Marc might not love Jessica Jones is because it was largely about Monster Mamas and their Monster Daughters. How Monster Mamas are difficult to deal with, but might also be right once in awhile. How they can know and love their daughters in their warped way even as they damage them. And finally, how being a grown up can give you a new perspective.
Mark needs to watch Dr Strangelove again. Not all Kubrick films are sterile.

Ready Player one is beautiful. The book is its own beast, the movie is it's own beast. Spielberg did a brilliant job of making the story his own and adding slight, small and bold flourishes.
This is wishful thinking, but I would be in full support of it being a Best Picture nominee at the Oscars. Or at least Spielberg getting a Best Director nom and Kaminski getting a Best Cinematog nomination.

Since infinity war explains that thanos' home world was destroyed and is his motivation for collecting the stones, I wonder if they'll use that to introduce galactus. It's not what happened in the comics but it could work and set up the next phase with the tower being purchased by Richards and shown in homecoming 2. Would explain the silver surfer rumors.
I always considered 2001 thought provoking, but I've never gotten high so can't comment on watching it that way.

The issue people have with Roseanne is less that she's a Trump supporter and more that she perpetuated dangerous and false conspiracy theories, has shared ridiculously damaging points of view about transgender people and posted that pic where she was Hitler and put gingerbread jew cookies in an oven.
Totally cool to have a show that represents the vocal majority of the country and for them to have their show is fine. Not everything has to be made for the rest of us.

He and his White House are also currently making a number of claims against Iran that could lead to a war, none of which is being backed up with facts or evidence and which is being refuted by allies, like the second in command of the American led coalition who is a British general and does not take orders from the White House on how to do public relations or lying.

I know tonnes of people with pretty robust senses of humour, but Hitler jokes are still not something they are comfortable with.
