Honestly dude, if you enjoy driving your car regularly (which i know you do) every single kw over about 450 is just less and less time before you need new tires or another rebuild! Nearly 700kw to the hubs is an absolutely insane achievement dude well done! Now turn it down and go enjoy it haha!

I can watch barras and LSs make 1000hp and not flinch but seeing this climb past 700 I'm on the edge of my seat, always had a soft spot for the ecotec and to see these numbers excites me to no end good job man

@@Kurzwife It's an ongoing challenge/joke that for only $2000 you can reliably run 10's without too much trouble using the Ford 4L Barra engine with an ebay turbo strapped to it.
I LOL'd because what started out as my 2K Barra now has about that much spent just in internal supporting mods without taking the rotating assembly into consideration after I destroyed 2 healthy engines, that said I can wind it up past 1000whp if I want now without fear of hurting the engine, the rest of the drivetrain well that's an entirely different story.

Dane, you've been pushing the boundaries of what a 3.8 V6 can do, without having to spend stupid amounts of money on parts. Ok, so you didn't break the 4 digital mark, but you can take away that fact is you gave it everything she had. Like you said at the end, it still runs. So now lets look forward to Ethel 2.0, we know it can be done and we'll all be here for the Journey
So dial back the Boost to a safer number and go out and enjoy Ethel, she's been hidden for too long. Besides, you need to do some chopping of both Cars and a few Christmas Trees 😉

One hell of an effort man 928 definitely is no mean feat. Slightly disappointing to not see the 1000 but you built that in your garage with basic hand tools relatively. Compared to big shops with stupid money and crazy tools. So keen to see Ethel 2.0 the new engine will make 1000 all day

At the moment it's only cammed with 69mm throttle body, CAI, 110lb springs, stage 2 shift kit on my 4l60E... but me being on centrelink disability i will 1 day supercharge my car and unleash the boost also 😀
Do you think you could crack the 4 digits if you top swap the l36 with l67 heads (ported & polish) with the M90 Supercharger? That way your supercharged and turbo charged? :o
Nah man the supercharger I reckon would become a restriction at this much boost 🤔

Thanks man a gt3584 is the go on a stock engine if the budget allows it I'd go for a haltech elite 750 they have alot of room to grow on the cheap you can go to a vr auto ecu and loom with an nvram same as what was in this car years ago and make something work... 😊

Great effort mate! That’s still over 1000hp at the engine and it still runs! I snapped the crank on my pre Ecotec v6 with 800hp and a mace girdle.
Dam man makes me wonder about these mace girdles 🤔
Yeah I had to modify mine with extra holes and spacers at the rear main for correct gasket crush. The material of the girdle I think should be a mild steel not an alloy 🤔
