Today marks 50 years since the Wimbledon first appeared on BBC TV & this is the first I see that they played Glastonbury. Where did the time go? Glad to see they are still part of British cultural significance & still Wombling Free.

I genuinely like some of the womble songs. Mike Batt and all the other "wombles" were genuine musicians/songwriters and some of the tunes have some cool melodies. Its not like smurfs or chipmunks all speeded up. I actually think their tunes are UNDERrated. Call me crazy. My favourite tunes apart from THEME and REMEMBER.. are Womblin Merry Xmas, Superwomble and From Wimbledon with love which is fuckin brilliant

When I watch this I always laugh as how it turns grown ups into little kids just enjoying themselves and not acting cool lol that's the magic of the wobbles and I'm 74
I recorded 6 hours of BBC Glasto highlights and not even the smallest clip of the Wombles! BBC need to review their diversity policy as it is clearly Womblist.
