- There are over 1000 items in the store of theHunter Classic, and one of the most frequently asked questions from new players is - What should I buy? If you want to spend your hard-earned money wisely, here are some tips.

The 9.3x74R is very good and versatile but if you can forgo the water buffalo hunting I would prefer the 300 for long range hunting. the Illuminated 3-9x40mm silver scope goes nicely with the 300 and 243 and the 7x42mm Rangefinder Binoculars are also very nice to have.

I'd always recommend getting a bow first.
1. A lot less noise so not all animals will get spooked when you shoot.
2. It can kill every species in the game with the exception of the werewolf which requires special ammo and is only available at Halloween.
I suppose the downside to that is needing to get close to the animal but with callers this is really easy with a little patience.
Once you get a few weapons I'd also recommend getting an ammo pass. The convenience it gives you is worth it alone.
Always buy camping supplies in the packs of 15 as they work out cheaper than the other packs.

I always grind the whitetail missions to their end, and with the money i buy the 7mm-08. This rifle can hunt all the way from moose and banteng down to red fox and coyote, it's one of the most versatile weapons in the game, the bipod makes it so stable that it will behave like a high level weapon even at level one, the clip size of five, the relatively fast cycling speed of the rounds and the really fast projectile speed/low bullet drop also make it very easy to dispose of groups. Don't bother with the elite version, only buy it if you really want it, i never ran through more than five rounds on the standard version before i was more like wasting rounds than hitting animals, let alone 10. Use the additional money you would have wasted on the elite to buy the 7k high power scope for it, or, if you're short on money, buy the super matu scope for around 4-5k.
Next, i'd hunt some coyote and red fox until i get to both of their missions where i need another weapon to continue on, then hunt moose, then hunt red deer, then hunt bison, banteng and etc. That should be plenty for a Pulsar bow, or a reverse draw crossbow. Both of these are good, i'd prefer the pulsar over the crossbow since it's quieter, but you could go for the crossbow if you like to remain prone while shooting. The crossbow is way louder and will one realistically allow you to shoot a few animals (if you're really careful with wich animals of the group you target) before the others run away, it's best used for red fox or red deer, or any other animal that can have rogue entities. The crossbow also has 20m more range than the pulsar, so you could theoretically shoot from afar and negate the noise it makes. It is also more powerful, i've downed moose from 80m with it if they got hit in the lungs. It's also easier to shoot, since the arrows are faster and while prone you'll have way more stable aim. Both the crossbow and the bow have good standard sights, the scope for the crossbow is recommended, the additional range pins on the pulsar are user's choice.
I bought the 7.62x54r and it is probably my new favorite classic rifle. I just got an albino whitetail with it.

Best order of weapons to buy for NEW players(required in most missions):
1. Snakebite bow + 5x30 rangefinder - quiet kills, lightest and most easy to use, flat trajectory 20-32m no scope needed, lots of missions
2. .300 Bolt action rifle - kills all big game except water buffalo used in many missions, same scope as .243
3. .44 revolver - unlocks many missions otherwise nothing special
If u want to support game, caller pack is best buy - if tight on cash get callers as needed.
Anything else can wait a bit like treestand, ground blind and tripod stand. Next weapons i recommend is Tennpoint Crossbow(not as good as reverse draw but has much more missions) and 7mm break action rifle(w/ anschutz scope 3-9x) rest is personal preference as gm$ will rack up quickly with plenty of missions unlocked.

What got me to really enjoy the game is getting the Red Dragon bow, it may not be the best but it's fun and profitable enough to get the ammo with the game credits.
Another good item to get is a Tent as suggested in this video, my "strategy" is go around the map, find a good spot to hunt, i set my tent around this area and pick my Ground Blind, callers, decoys and weapons and i just go back to get more ammo in case the animals keep coming, I'm a total Noob, if i can do this then everyone can.

As for boom sticks go i like the 300 bolt action rifle. My favorite bow is the red dragon.
Yep. Red Dragon or Parker Python. That rangefinder scope is gold. I disagree on rifle. The old .300 v 7mm rivalry lol. Love me 7mm baby. I even named it in secret lol

These are good options but how do you get more GMs faster cus whenever i go hunting i get like a 12 GM deer or 80GM coyote so could you make or recomend a video for how to make money faster??

I regret buying my crossbow it sounded like a good idea but rifles are just plain better for taking out medium and big game especially for a new player and for small game shotguns with birdshot or a .22 are just more useful. After spending hours looking up what people suggest I ended up buying the 9.3x62 Anschütz rifle and it's amazing. Everyone says the best weapon to get is the .300 .7mm or the 9.3x62 rifles because they're permitted for almost everything besides small game and the .7mm and 9.3 both can use the biggest scope in the game and share scopes with more weapons compared to the .300 which for me in the worst of the 3 choices for my playstyle.

Compound Bow Parker Python. (Quit, deadly, and good for ALL animals)
Rangefinder Bow Sight. (To make it even deadlier)
Tents. (Perfect for getting to places faster or starting in a better location like near a stand)
Callers.(self-explained)
snakebite is better than the Parker in basically every way. it’s quieter, easy to use, more powerful, and costs like 6000gms less

Quick question - for missions asking for "any recurve bow" or "a recurve bow", can the heavy recurve bow be used? And if not, does it matter whether I use the modern or carbon version? I seem to remember certain missions specifically asking for the recurve bow modern, but the wiki doesn't mention that. Thanks
If it says Recurve Modern, then that bow must be used. When it says Recurve, all three can be used incl. the Heavy R.B.

I love my Tenpoint Crossbow, it is cleared to take down everything in the game! Sure it doesn't have the range of a rifle however if you want 1 weapon to do it all then it's the crossbow for sure
Or the Parker python bow with a rangefinder scope, but that has it's limits as you get tiered after holding the draw for too long vs the crossbow is just point and shoot pretty much
Or the snakebite bow. Sure it might be the best bow in the game (for example it's not the quietest bow, but it is still pretty silent), but it's the first bow you can possibly buy. It can still drop anything (not counting werewolves at halloween). I would also recommend buying the cupid arrows so you can see the arrow eaiser.

someone please answer this questions for me. i seen you can have 8 tents erected per reserve. does that mean i have to buy 8 individual tents or is it 8 can be erected from 1 tent purchase?

I've been told by more experienced players than myself that the .300 is the ultimate rifle. I almost exclusively hunt whitetail, blacktail, mule deer, red deer, and elk. Have I been mislead on the .300, and were the recommended rifles in this video superior to it?
The .300 is certainly a good rifle, but it is single shot only. I believe its loud bang when firing suggests a greater power than it actually has. I featured the 9.3x74 in the video as it has 2 shots, and you can shoot water buffalo with it.

Erm... I thought the single shot was pretty much in your inventory from the start and didn't have to select it from the store? Things may have changed but I have owned like 7 of these so far and had the extras removed from my inventory, Kinda wish I didn't now and still had all the extra weapons haha

I started playing the game and shot all animals without clues and got no money. I lately realized i needed to have clues and then i shot two female deers which give no gms. Now i am left without ammo for both guns and without money. Help
The ammo for your starter weapons is free. You cannot run out of ammo. Shoot animals with a score (i.e. everything but female deer and turkeys) to get gm$.
how to get item from store to my inventory? like ammo?
After you buy an item it becomes available in the game. Enter the inventory in the game and you can equip and use what ever you bought. Some exceptions are the ammo subscription or the backpack upgrade that becomes effective but not a tangible inventory item.

One single mission pack (Dall Sheep, Ptarmigans) will give you 10'000 gm$ plus those gm$ for the kills during the missions. No extra equipment needed for these missions. Also the questions are often " I have collected some gm$, what should I buy?". So there you go, some suggestions for them.
Why do you have 24 deer caller?
EW used to hand out the basic elements every time the subscription was extended. I have many binoculars, deer bleat callers, .243 rifles, etc. 😉
What about shot gun?
The free single shot shotgun is a good start. If you plan to go for waterfowl or upland birds, a shotgun with magazine is worth getting. Preferably a 12GA so you can continue to use free ammo. The pump action has 6 shots, the Maisto only 3, but takes less time in between shots.

@@donaldroe7215 If you haven't figured it out yet. You have to buy the EM$ in the The Hunter Launcher.
Don't waste money on the dogs, they will spook animals if you are just starting out and ain't used to use commands to get it to stay put etc, you will also need dog-food (which you will also have to buy) in order to "train" the dog as it too have multiple levels, There are also multiple bugs associated with said dogs, (And seeing how avalanch studios are the developers, the same people whom essentially scammed customers on their "primal" game which they then abandoned and ran off with the money, don't assume work being put in to improve those)
Better to just purchase a 7mm or 30-06 rifle (*the versions of which that is not single-shot, as single-shot rifles takes longer to reload, in which time your prey might run away*) instead of a dog, if you are just starting out, as they are fun and forgiving little rifles, which let you shoot a lot of animals.

What bow would you recommend to new players and why?
My favorite is the Parker Python. It is fast to pull out and has no "loading" sequence like the Pulsar. Also the Rangefinder Bowsight makes the bow easy to use. It is the most silent but also the weakest composite bow, but still strong enough for any close kill.
Depends if you going free to play or want to buy a bow. Snakebite used in most mission packs, probably my favourite composite bow so could be biased towards it. Sure the parker python with it's range finder scope is great as well. Pulsar don't like usable without the 5pin scope as you already got a reduced view when using it. Snakebite single pin clear uncluttered. Game gives you a free range finder for bow shooting anyway. On most maps when you hear the animal foot steps its at 30m and when the animal ID flashes up in top right of screen it's at 20m. The ranges you do most bow hunting in. So for me would recommend the Snakebite as a first bow, it's also cheaper.
@@MrGusmcg Good advice, but the pulsar is pretty usable without the 5 pin, you just shoot in between the pins for the other ranges.

Hello, The hunter classic developers, if you read this, add quail, dove and woodcock to the game.
For one question there was a very quick answer: "Do i need a Dog ?". The only valid answer is always YES !
Like said, dog lovers will love the dogs in the game. 😀
Main use for dog for me is carrying equipment an extra 5kg.
